What I don't understand is why Ilkay would leave Manchester City for Arsenal when he's still a key member of the squad and if he wants to change League, he will go to Barcelona. I want him at Arsenal but I am not sure he will join. He has won a vast array of trophies at Manchester City but it remains to be seen where he will be playing next season. Then again, the constant pursuit of Manchester City's players seems somewhat questionable to me. I’d love Arsenal to continue with their recruitment strategy.

Since Pep Guardiola now confirmed that he will definitely fulfill his contract until 2025, I am pretty sure that not a lot of players will decide against working with him for the next two years if they have a contract with Manchester City. The only player so far is Gundogan who doesn't yet know what he is going to do since Manchester City is said to offer him a 1 year extension whereas he wants a 2 year extension. But after that performance I think they might still improve their offer and he will stay there.

I remember in interview when Pep said he is not going to keep anybody who doesn't want to stay. So İlkay Gündoğan is free to leave or stay. But then I support his decision to want to leave because in my estimation City didn't show any seriousness in keeping. If city is not going to give him enough playing time because of his age, then he should leave. And I hope to God that he doesn't go to Arsenal. He should go to Barcelona or some club abroad.

No doubt Manchester City has a lot of players in their arsenal but you would agree with me that Gundogan was also instrumental in the club's treble glory this season and they want to reward him for his performance and contribution with an improved 1 year extension deal. Premier league is now more competitive than before as the fight for the top 10 in the league is very tough and most of the underrated teams are performing well than before. Next season will be a more exciting and challenging season in the premier league than before.

I just can't wait for next season to kick off. The competition will be intense, and the league is going to be tougher. Gone are those days when it used to be big 4, now we have Arsenal coming in after missing out of top 4 finish for some years, Newcastle establishing their place after more than 2 decades of absence, Manchester United taking their place back after a year of absence. The only consistent team so far is Manchester City, they have been finishing in the top 4 place in the last 10 years. Liverpool and Chelsea are also in the picture and they will be fighting for a comeback, so the fight for the EPL tittle and a top 4 finish is going to be fierce.

We all believed that the upcoming season might be tough, but that is not the case at this time. We can discuss this when the upcoming season begins and we see the teams that are performing well. I agree with you, because clubs in England really have to have two good players in every position or solid reserves because a team in the premier league has to play in five competitions and if they don't have solid reserves they will be overwhelmed like Man Unitet or Liverpool last season. this is the quality of the core and backup players are very much different.

I agree with you. Gundogan is a very talented player. But we must not forget that Gundogan is almost 33 years old. And so it is even more important for Manchester City to find Gundogan's replacement. And coach Guardiola is very experienced. He does not base his match strategy on any particular player. Manchester City's most important player was not Gundogan. And so I think even if Gundogan is not in the team, we won't see much of an impact on City's performance next season. Guardiola will find a suitable replacement for Gundogan.
