City are struggling, nothing has been going their way in the last few weeks in the Premier League, they go in at half-time losing 1-0 to Everton, and at the moment i can't see where a goal is coming from for city, yet they have dominated the game in terms of possession, but they have not created too many chances. City are lacking creativity, Foden needs to step up and City cannot wait for KDB to be fit again, anyway, the game isn't over and City need to come into the second half and perform better, if they are to have any chance of taking anything from this game.

Manchester City conceded 1-0 to Everton in the 29th minute through a goal from Jack Harrison. Manchester City's defense looked weak so Everton was able to score goals and also created several chances on target against Manchester City, and Everton played very well..

Pep is really experiencing quite difficult things so far because the problems at his club regarding player injuries never end. So all of this really makes Man City's condition quite bad. They missed various opportunities in the previous match. and this time too, they were quite weak at the back and also not strong enough and pressing enough at the front. Currently at half time, Man City is still 1 - 0 behind Everton since the early minutes. This is Everton, in fact a small club which is in 14th position in the standings. Is Man City unable to beat clubs like this again even without their key players? I think that Man City seems quite weak this season..

Everton is not a small team, remember they had 10 points deducted from them this season. Everton has been playing well and Manchester City has not been so clinical in the front of goal in this game. I know pep will definitely make the right changes in the second half so that they won't lose this game.

But their current form isn't enough to beat the likes of the Man City.

Their dominance is still felt because this is the most likely thing to happen but the chances they have are still wasted because of the lack of effectiveness in their attacks and they still need time with the squad they have at the moment.
Some of their chances are still very good but indeed when trying to attack they forget a little about the defense they have. I think the chance for Manchester City is still very big in this match, it's just that Pep needs to change some of the schemes they have now because by looking at the many wasted opportunities in the first half, honestly I still doubt it will work if applied in the second half.

If Everton manage to steal points again from Manchester City, then I can consider Manchester City off the race for the title because it will mean they have lost points many times and still stand the chance of losing more points before the season gets to an end. The race for the winner of the Premier League would be between Arsenal and the Liverpool who are currently locked in a battle for first place and look to reinforce their team with any opportunity that we have in the transfer window.

Julian Alvarez who is in the position and shoes of the injured Haaland will need to show that he can represent for the team when Haaland is out injured.

Everyone is saying that due to the lack of Haaland in the squad, Man city are struggling. Although that is partially true, I think the main reason is not having Rodri in the team. The lineups are out for the Everton vs Man City match and Rodri is in the squad and Alvarez is covering for Haaland’s absence. Against Crystal palace, Rodri was there and they were able to avoid a loss. Rodri was the player of the tournament in the club world cup and it says a lot about him. This says a lot about him and he is the KEY player in the squad.

All of them are true, losing some of the key players make Man City difficult to perform well. They have no Haaland, De Bruyne, and Doku in the current lineup because of the injury problem. Not sure when these players will be ready to play for Man City. Meanwhile Rodri already played for Man City, but he alone can't make the difference for Man City. He is not the machine goal for Man City, Haaland and De Bruyne who has the biggest roles in scoring goals. As long as these players are unavailable, Man City probably gets difficulty in scoring goals. Well, Alvarez seems not always playing consistently, so it is hard to rely on him.

I also admit it, the impact is too obvious on Manchester City's performance.
Haaland is a striker who can determine victory for Manchester City, while Doku and Kevin De Bruyne are two players who can help make attack patterns more effective. So far Manchester City has had great difficulty penetrating Everton's defense because of the tight defense, but several opportunities should have been maximized but so far they have failed.

On several occasions Alvarez has been a selfish player, and so far he has failed to show his best performance when given the opportunity to be the main center forward when Haaland was injured. Alvarez played well with Haaland, but he failed to perform without Haaland. I may be wrong, but I see it that way.

Everton will maximize defense, while they will try to counterattack. The second half should be better for Manchester City and they should be able to strive a win to close the points gap with Liverpool and Arsenal.

Outside the fact Chelsea defence hasn't been impressive this evening, the strikers are not helping matters as well, just imagine the one on one Jackson have missed this second half, that would have made the game 2-1 in favour of Chelsea if he had scored, even when he tried to score one, it was disallowed by the Referee as offside, however they've been awarded a penalty after EZE fowled madueke at the 18 yard box, madueke afterward stood up and took the spot kick, making the game 2-1.

Everton's lead with 1 goal was only temporary according to what I saw of this match which had lasted 52 minutes or 7 minutes after the first half break.
Manchester City does not want the opportunity to be in the competition for the Premier League title to be lost because they have just lifted a prestigious trophy.
In fact, Everton will have difficulty competing to move away from their position in the standings.

Obviously, the match will end up like this because it is already close to the finish time. However, Chelsea has been lucky this night just as Manchester were lucky last night. Finally, the two big teams that have been underperforming for quite some time has been able to win a match in this week games. Their fans would be happy while they enjoy the Christmas seasons, i know it has been a long time since i see a smile from Manchester United and Chelseas fans.

I don't understand what can be said when saying Nottingham Forrest will be scarier than Aston Villa?
Even though in this case the performance of Manchester United is still not too predictable but comparing Nottingham Forrest's performance with Aston Villa and can be much more frightening i think it's too much.

Indeed maybe in terms of this match it will be different because surely when Manchester United meet Nottingham Forrest tactically  
 Nottingham will definitely do a defensive scheme so that they don't concede the ball but in terms of performance they are still very weak and cannot be compared with Aston Villa.
Currently Manchester United  momentum is still very much there especially with the success of Hojlund to score their first goal in the EPL it is hoped that it will be able to bring  Manchester United back to a better direction  although sometimes their performance is unpredictable because it could also be a momentum that fails to return after they won this week with a dramatic comeback.

Nottingham has not been stable enough lately, they have not found a stability that can improve their position in the standings. So there is no comparison to say that it will make things difficult for Manchester United in the upcoming match because Manchester United certainly doesn't want them to lose points again. Manchester City has not been as effective as they were last season due to series injury to the club's first team players as well as the departure of some of the integral members of the squad that lifted the treble with them last season. The Pep Guardiola's has dominated the English Premier League for the past three seasons but considering their performance this season, I don't think they are strong contenders for the league title this season. I wasn't surprised when Everton took the lead because almost every team in the league now believes that Manchester City are very beatable which was unlike the feelings of their league opponents were having last season that the City team were on rampage.

Unluckily for Manchester City, John Stones substituted after picking up an injury which now adds to the injury list at the club. Manchester City I believe can still equalize or probably win the game

Another win for Chelsea, to the joy of the home crowd who would have expected nothing less than a win since the number one striker Christopher is back although he did not score for us to see the balloon celebration, his presence is reassuring to many of the supporters of this club. Chelsea remains tenth on the table even though they won this game. This 10th place is a position that looks like a big resistance to them and they have not been able to pass and break into the top 10 and even remain there for a long time. Chelsea have a chance in their next game to maintain the win and maybe finally get into a position better than tenth. Chelsea against Luton next.

In the end, Chelsea managed to secure full points over Crystal Place with a score of 2-1. I thought this match would end in a draw, before the referee awarded a penalty which was executed well by Tristan Madueke. This is Chelsea 7th win this season, Pochettino squad record of defeats is still more than the wins they have achieved, namely 8 defeats in 19 matches. Pochettino has completed half a season in charge of Chelsea, I still don't see this club going in the direction it really is.

There are 19 matches left in the next half of the season, if he fails to finish in the European zone then Pochettino will have to be kicked from Stamford Bridge. Because the list of players he bought is quite expensive, tickets to the European League should be secured to reduce pressure from fans. However, we will see again how Pochettino polishes Chelsea in the future, which is clearly not an easy thing.

The match between Brentford and Wolves has ended, and Wolves won the game with 4-1 and  I am not that surprised that Wolves won the game because even from their previous meeting, Brentford had the highest number of victories, so even today, Wolves was my favorite team to win the game because of their past and present record, despite the fact that Wolves is not also in good standing, but the truth is that Brentford got more goals than Wolves, but honestly, I was not expecting many goals from the game because I think both teams defensive are very strong. As for Chelsea, they also won 2-1, which shows Chelsea keeps their good record whenever they meet Crystal Palace, so I am not also surprised by that.

Multiple mistakes in the defense led to Everton's goal but Manchester City managed to make a comeback. Manchester City conceded a goal in last 8 league matches, their defense is still alarming. The last time they finished a clean sheet was against Manchester United in October. I don't know exactly what is the cause of this problem. Can it be explained only by lack of concentration? Or are there bigger reasons behind it? We know that this team defends well by having the ball whenever they want. But they don't have that type of play this season. However, their goal-scoring skills are still top-notch and their ability to turn games around is still there. Problems should be fixed if they want another championship. We see, other teams are also hungry about the title this time.

Currently watching the Everton - Manchester City game, honestly I didn't expect Everton to get a goal but they did anyway and without Haaland.. the Citizens seem to have slowed down a bit in the goal scoring department but either way great to see them in front again after chasing the game.

Btw around this time you spoke of ,they had to adjust with the introduction of new players as key players such as Kevin De Bruyne, Grealish (now back with the team) and now Haaland missing... adjustments had to be made which is a work in progress but they should still get the job done

Manchester City have been the much better playing side in this game all along. Thankfully they have managed to make the needed comeback so far. But there are still at least 13 minutes to be played in the game while the score is 2-1. Manchester City had better score another one to seal the deal. Otherwise Everton might catch them by surprise once again.

For now Everton's xG is not far away from zero. But this kind of scores are always dangerous for the better side no matter what. Manchester City have been experiencing really difficult days in the Premier League recently you know. A win is all they need now.

Quite appreciative of Chelsea's victory, at least their efforts this time also succeeded quite well. The victory against Crystal Palace this time was not easy because it was Crystal Palace who put more emphasis on attack. However, Chelsea were very lucky to get the final kick and were able to execute it very well. This was sweet for Chelsea again.

Apart from that, in the end Man City was able to turn things around in the second half to become 2 - q. after previously they were 1 goal behind in the first half. It should be like this because I believe that Man City is still able to handle this match. It's just that it's not as strong as the full main team that entered... but at least they should get a win here.

Manchester City also had lots of chances but most of their shots still went over the crossbar, the match was still very far away and Manchester City still had plenty of time to score. And what we need to know is that Manchester City often make comebacks that can turn things around, and I enjoyed this match because both of them seemed to be playing very well and also very tight.

Manchester City didn’t seem to find their footing in the first half of the game as they conceded a goal. They weren’t in my opinion, impressive at all. Everton was more impressive in the first half. It’s the second half now and Man City has managed to equalize scoring two goals and being ahead. Luckily for them, a foul in the form of a hand ball was committed in the box that awarded a penalty giving City their second goal.

At the moment, the game is quite tight as Everton also has seemingly woken up and is trying in this second half to equalize. City also doesn’t seem to relent in their attacks in this second half hence making the game tight and quite interesting.
It’s looking like a City win but there’s still time for Everton to equalize.

Well that's a quick turnaround by this city team. They were lacking in the first half but have since improved in this second half. Even foden you mentioned has found the net. I don't know what Guardiola said to his boys but whatever he said, it's working. That penalty was pivotal though because this Everton has played well since the start of the match anf it'd be unfortunate if they do finish behind City.

It's not finished yet. If Calvert-Lewin and Everton will take their chances, they might ve able to get something out of this game.
