So far, Everton is leading with 1 goal. But Man City really dominated the match. I think Man City probably plays more offensively in the second half. So, I'm not really sure that Everton will win the match. If their defense is strong enough, I think Everton can try to get a draw in this match. Let's see how Everton can deal with Man City attack.

Everton's lead with 1 goal was only temporary according to what I saw of this match which had lasted 52 minutes or 7 minutes after the first half break.
Manchester City does not want the opportunity to be in the competition for the Premier League title to be lost because they have just lifted a prestigious trophy.
In fact, Everton will have difficulty competing to move away from their position in the standings.

At the moment crystal place vs Chelsea is going in a head lucked fight and both team are mentainig the 1:1 goals which have been standing till the 68 minutes into the match,  but at the moment it looks as if Chelsea have more chances of making an extra goal score if their can utilize the many chances the have missed already.

The crystal place squad also are looking for every possible chances to make a goal score but they have a very weak and motivated Stricker at the moment.

Outside the fact Chelsea defence hasn't been impressive this evening, the strikers are not helping matters as well, just imagine the one on one Jackson have missed this second half, that would have made the game 2-1 in favour of Chelsea if he had scored, even when he tried to score one, it was disallowed by the Referee as offside, however they've been awarded a penalty after EZE fowled madueke at the 18 yard box, madueke afterward stood up and took the spot kick, making the game 2-1.

Obviously, the match will end up like this because it is already close to the finish time. However, Chelsea has been lucky this night just as Manchester were lucky last night. Finally, the two big teams that have been underperforming for quite some time has been able to win a match in this week games. Their fans would be happy while they enjoy the Christmas seasons, i know it has been a long time since i see a smile from Manchester United and Chelseas fans.

I don't understand what can be said when saying Nottingham Forrest will be scarier than Aston Villa?
Even though in this case the performance of Manchester United is still not too predictable but comparing Nottingham Forrest's performance with Aston Villa and can be much more frightening i think it's too much.

Indeed maybe in terms of this match it will be different because surely when Manchester United meet Nottingham Forrest tactically  
 Nottingham will definitely do a defensive scheme so that they don't concede the ball but in terms of performance they are still very weak and cannot be compared with Aston Villa.
Currently Manchester United  momentum is still very much there especially with the success of Hojlund to score their first goal in the EPL it is hoped that it will be able to bring  Manchester United back to a better direction  although sometimes their performance is unpredictable because it could also be a momentum that fails to return after they won this week with a dramatic comeback.

Nottingham has not been stable enough lately, they have not found a stability that can improve their position in the standings. So there is no comparison to say that it will make things difficult for Manchester United in the upcoming match because Manchester United certainly doesn't want them to lose points again. Pep is really experiencing quite difficult things so far because the problems at his club regarding player injuries never end. So all of this really makes Man City's condition quite bad. They missed various opportunities in the previous match. and this time too, they were quite weak at the back and also not strong enough and pressing enough at the front. Currently at half time, Man City is still 1 - 0 behind Everton since the early minutes. This is Everton, in fact a small club which is in 14th position in the standings. Is Man City unable to beat clubs like this again even without their key players? I think that Man City seems quite weak this season..

Manchester City has not been as effective as they were last season due to series injury to the club's first team players as well as the departure of some of the integral members of the squad that lifted the treble with them last season. The Pep Guardiola's has dominated the English Premier League for the past three seasons but considering their performance this season, I don't think they are strong contenders for the league title this season. I wasn't surprised when Everton took the lead because almost every team in the league now believes that Manchester City are very beatable which was unlike the feelings of their league opponents were having last season that the City team were on rampage.

Unluckily for Manchester City, John Stones substituted after picking up an injury which now adds to the injury list at the club. Manchester City I believe can still equalize or probably win the game

Chelsea remains tenth on the table even though they won this game. This 10th place is a position that looks like a big resistance to them and they have not been able to pass and break into the top 10 and even remain there for a long time. In the end, Chelsea managed to secure full points over Crystal Place with a score of 2-1. I thought this match would end in a draw, before the referee awarded a penalty which was executed well by Tristan Madueke. This is Chelsea 7th win this season, Pochettino squad record of defeats is still more than the wins they have achieved, namely 8 defeats in 19 matches. Pochettino has completed half a season in charge of Chelsea, I still don't see this club going in the direction it really is.

There are 19 matches left in the next half of the season, if he fails to finish in the European zone then Pochettino will have to be kicked from Stamford Bridge. Because the list of players he bought is quite expensive, tickets to the European League should be secured to reduce pressure from fans. However, we will see again how Pochettino polishes Chelsea in the future, which is clearly not an easy thing.

Currently watching the Everton - Manchester City game, honestly I didn't expect Everton to get a goal but they did anyway and without Haaland.. the Citizens seem to have slowed down a bit in the goal scoring department but either way great to see them in front again after chasing the game.

Btw around this time you spoke of ,they had to adjust with the introduction of new players as key players such as Kevin De Bruyne, Grealish (now back with the team) and now Haaland missing... adjustments had to be made which is a work in progress but they should still get the job done

Manchester City have been the much better playing side in this game all along. Thankfully they have managed to make the needed comeback so far. But there are still at least 13 minutes to be played in the game while the score is 2-1. Manchester City had better score another one to seal the deal. Otherwise Everton might catch them by surprise once again.

For now Everton's xG is not far away from zero. But this kind of scores are always dangerous for the better side no matter what. Manchester City have been experiencing really difficult days in the Premier League recently you know. A win is all they need now.

Quite appreciative of Chelsea's victory, at least their efforts this time also succeeded quite well. The victory against Crystal Palace this time was not easy because it was Crystal Palace who put more emphasis on attack. However, Chelsea were very lucky to get the final kick and were able to execute it very well. This was sweet for Chelsea again.

Apart from that, in the end Man City was able to turn things around in the second half to become 2 - q. after previously they were 1 goal behind in the first half. It should be like this because I believe that Man City is still able to handle this match. It's just that it's not as strong as the full main team that entered... but at least they should get a win here.

Manchester City didn’t seem to find their footing in the first half of the game as they conceded a goal. They weren’t in my opinion, impressive at all. Everton was more impressive in the first half. It’s the second half now and Man City has managed to equalize scoring two goals and being ahead. Luckily for them, a foul in the form of a hand ball was committed in the box that awarded a penalty giving City their second goal.

At the moment, the game is quite tight as Everton also has seemingly woken up and is trying in this second half to equalize. City also doesn’t seem to relent in their attacks in this second half hence making the game tight and quite interesting.
It’s looking like a City win but there’s still time for Everton to equalize.

City are struggling, nothing has been going their way in the last few weeks in the Premier League, they go in at half-time losing 1-0 to Everton, and at the moment i can't see where a goal is coming from for city, yet they have dominated the game in terms of possession, but they have not created too many chances. City are lacking creativity, Foden needs to step up and City cannot wait for KDB to be fit again, anyway, the game isn't over and City need to come into the second half and perform better, if they are to have any chance of taking anything from this game.

Well that's a quick turnaround by this city team. They were lacking in the first half but have since improved in this second half. Even foden you mentioned has found the net. I don't know what Guardiola said to his boys but whatever he said, it's working. That penalty was pivotal though because this Everton has played well since the start of the match anf it'd be unfortunate if they do finish behind City.

It's not finished yet. If Calvert-Lewin and Everton will take their chances, they might ve able to get something out of this game.

Very decent goal from Foden while Pickford find the ball very difficult to pick  . Manchester City is a team that rarely disappoints. From the beginning of the match i knew they will still take the lead on the score line. Regardless of how fast Everton were lucky to get a goal, they will eventually lose the game to Manchester City. They are no match for the premier league champions. So bad John Stones has been taken off as injured. His absence may leave a mark on the performance of Manchester City for some period. We saw that when Rodri was injured as well.

Christopher Nkunku’s presence did really paid for them in this match. If they can get the striker back to full form, I think they will convert more goals in matches than they use to now currently.

Man City managed to finish the match with a score of 3-1 against Everton. The second 45 minutes belonged to City, they managed to turn things around after falling behind in the first half. Pep squad played quite effectively, they dominated possession of the ball and shots, and brought home 3 points to Etihad. This result certainly made Pep very happy, after being shaken in the last few matches. Pep is lucky that he still has one match postponed, the point difference will most likely be reduced again in the future.

Everton failed in their attempt to get points, now they are one level above the relegation zone, but their previous four matches were successfully completed with wins, I think they can get maximum points again when facing easier clubs. Because beating Man City requires a lot of luck, not just effort alone.

Manchester City were able to reverse the score and inflict three goals on Everton after being down by a goal. Whenever they have a good chance they score, at the opposite of Everton which could score another goal but missed it.
This victory allowed Manchester City to get closer from the other top three teams with a possibility to catch some of them since they are one match less than Liverpool and Aston Villa.
In the other game, Chelsea were saved by a penalty offered at the end of the game.

With the club World Cup over I think Pep and his boys can now fully focus on this season’s task and see how they can turn around a season that hasn’t started so well base on their standard. The first half against Everton showed us the display/performance of Manchester city this season and the second was a typical show of how ruthless and good Manchester city can be when their on top of their game. This win now takes them within five points gap from the table leaders Liverpool and also with a game at hand, Should they win that game then we all can say that they are definitely back into the title race once again. Although I still count them among the favourites but with their continuous injury woes I feel they would fall short if if continues because the team is not having that much of a squad depth like last season to deal with it

Chelsea has been very poor this season with their very inconsistent performances in the English Premier League.  They've struggled to convince their fans and football fans across the globe that the huge money that was invested in by the club's owner was a good move by the club owner to facilitate them bounce back to from their poor performance of last season. Despite the return of some of their star players who were earlier injured, they're yet to impress.
Undoubtedly, they were the best team on the pitch tonight but Crystal Palace still gave them a tough time in the game as they needed an 88th minute penalty from Madueke to grab all three points from the game. Hopefully, the win is gonna boost the team's morale to improve more.
