Brazil is the team that is showing some signs of winning this world cup title. Brazil will beat Croatia 2:1 to qualify for semi final because they are in a good stage to win this trophy because their coach will not allow what happened in their last match that made Cameroon to beat them 1:0 to happen today than to bring out all their tactics to defeat their opponent.

Brazil is a very strong team, they have a lot of talented players in their squad, no doubt about that. And they are playing very well in this World Cup too. But the Croatia team is not weak at all. I have also seen Croatia's performance in previous matches. Their defense is very strong. If somehow Croatia manages to score the first goal of the match in today's match, then I would say that Brazil will not be able to beat Croatia in this match. However, Brazil's defense and goalkeeper are strong enough. Breaking down such a defense is challenging for any team.

till half time - no team has been able to score even a single goal, Brazil vs Switzerland was a one sided match and they were able to perform goals over over goals.
But this time CRO has made a good defence. But I believe Brazil will win this match.

I also thought Brazil would win this match. Because Brazil's performance against South Korea was impressive. They performed very well. So I bet on Brazil in today's match. But to be honest I am not satisfied with Brazil's performance today. They are not performing well. Brazil is not able to attack very strongly. Although they made several attacks, Brazil was not able to score due to the excellent performance of Croatia's goalkeeper. If Croatia wins today, the main hero of their victory will be their goalkeeper Livakovic.

The attacking combination of Rodrygo and Richarlison seems to be mounting much pressure on the Croatian defense, but the Croatian goalkeeper; Dominik Livakovic is becoming the hero of the day. He had saved a handful of goal scoring chances. The recent one was a close range short from Lucas Paqueta. The Croatian team is using a very potent slow football strategy. The seems to be slowing down the game which have deprived the Brazilian team from playing their fast paced style. Luka Modrić is the engine room of the Croatian team. This old war horse have been tireless and tactically alert in this game. It is glary currently that the match can be won by any side.

I know there are goalkeepers that are really good in normal games and others are good in penalties. I don't know much about the Croatian goalkeeper, but from his performance in this match today, the Croatian team has a better chance of winning if this game goes to penalty shootout. The Brazilian players would weep bitterly if they lose this match because from the quality or rating of teams they got the cheapest quarter final team beside Morocco.

Now match is going to come to a point where the match is going to be decided in extra time or penalty shootout.  I seriously was expecting this from this quarter final as both team will use defense and attack .
Definitely good job done by goalkeepers as they defend the attacks and strikers with great efficiency.

Each one of Paqueta and Neymar wasted two important chances in the match so far. Livakovic made many saves so far and I agree that he is one of the most impressive players now. We should emphasize the strength of their defense so far as well. Gvardiol and Juranovic have had the most impressive performances in defense. Croatia are already a defense-weighted team and they have just met the expectations until this point. Brazil couldn't play comfortable on the front. If they were able to make use of even one chance then the match was going to be over most probably.

There is a feeling like we are going to penalty shootouts slowly. Brazil actually have more skilled players but Croatia have many experienced players as for critical moments like this at the same time. I still want to believe in Brazil to do this.

Yeah that is what Croatia is counting for. I assume they planned to play penalties and Brazil was quite sure they will advance before the end of the game. Now the penalties started and Croatia will start kicking. Both teams should be respected whether the winner is Croatia or Brazil.

Brazil's second-row squad may have underperformed against Cameroon, but every player in their second row is very talented. Apart from Neymar, the rest of the forwards, I think are all of the same quality. Vini, Rodrygo, Raphinha and Richarlison are all very talented. The Brazil team attacked a lot against Cameroon, but they were defeated by Cameroon's defensive gameplay. Croatia will probably play defensively in today's match as well. So the Brazil coach will have to come up with a new match strategy today if they want to win.

Plus they did not really "care" as much, do we really think that Brazil is not as good as Cameroon? Or they are just incapable of beating them even with their second line up?

They would have destroyed, but between not wanting to get injured by playing too hard, not wanting to get tired in case anyone from the first squad gets injured so second unit needs to be ready to take their place, and just overall wanted to relax and rest a bit, that game was just unimportant and Cameroon played with their 100% while Brazil wasn't even showing 50%, and even with that, a few unlucky shots was the difference maker. We all know if it was win or go home type of game, they would have humiliated Cameroon six ways to Sunday.

this is really a surprising thing because Brazil is the favorite because there are many talented players in their team's squad but it's not enough to get past the solid Croatian team.
in the penalty shootout round there are no more favorites, all teams have the same opportunity.
but what is really regrettable is that Brazil was unable to break through Croatia's defense in 90 minutes of normal time, had hopes of winning the match after Neymar scored a goal in the Extra Time round in the 105th minute but in the 117th minute the goal came for Brazil because of Bruno Petkovic able to score after receiving feedback from Mislav Orsic.

What should be appreciated in this match is Luca Modric, he was able to balance the midfield to make Croatia superior in Ballposition and this senior player was also able to become a leader for Croatia, he has been very influential so far in bringing Croatia to the semifinals.

Well, you might be correct but not alot of people know or believe this, alot of people come to believe that the Brazilians are the best when it comes to football, which explain why it is always a surprise when they are defeated by another team, this same way that people are surprised that Croatia defeat them today was the same way we all were surprised when Cameroon defeated them in the group stage, maybe indeed, you are right that they are no longer the team that they used to be, but now, the question would be, what happened to them?.

I was really disappointed with Brazil's performance since the first half. They lack the creativity of the midfielders so Croatia can really improve their game. I didn't see Brazil leading from the first half, but in the second half they managed to put Croatia under pressure. Brazil's failure was because they underestimated Croatia in the last 15 minutes of extra time, of course they should have won after Neymar scored but in the end Croatia had hope after equalizing.

Many people are disappointed with what Brazil went through against Croatia, but this is a game where every team has a chance to win and eliminate other teams even if they are not the favourites. In the previous World Cup Croatia were runners up, will they repeat that at the Qatar World Cup?

but now, the question would be, what happened to them?.

Fire Tite, find replacements and orbit more midfielders than strikers. Brazil needs a good midfielder, they don't have that right now.
