The only good thing for me in this round is that i captained Haaland. Everyone else destroyed me honestly and this will be another bad week for me. Im just shocked that couple of my players got a yellow card and didnt even score or assist in the match. Hopefully tommorow some players save this week for me

I don’t think captaining Haaland would make any deference at this point because that’s the template, I’d be surprised if someone didn’t captain him, and I was right I literally wasted a transfer to bring in Caicedo for Stach just so I don’t have to play Ndiaye against Man City, Caicedo didn’t start and got 1 point while Ndiaye had 4 points that’s 3 points and a transfer lost, the real difference maker would have been those that still have Mateta, because I’m not sure too many people will have him.

Saka, Gabriel and Bowen are the only thing separating me from mediocre game week.

I'm very lucky for transferring Mateta right before this gameweek. I was really indecisive between him and Bowen. I don't know what Bowen will do but I'm very satisfied with Mateta's effort. He made a hat-trick today and he could have done even more than this.

Maybe he blanked 5 matches and in the last 2 matches before this one. But he made up for it in a great way. He has brought 17 points to me. I guess the majority don't have him in the pool.

Haaland being again Haaland from past season, is gonna be hard for those who doesnt have it now. The more you wait to put him into the team the more pain you are gonna suffer and pay in points.

This pool lags behind the template by a small amount. So it usually takes like 3 or 4 GWs before the pool becomes full of them. Remember how Haaland and Salah cappers were 50/50 inside this pool towards the beginning? Yeah there's a delay.

Woltenmade also looks good, definitely an option if Joao Pedro keeps performing horribly.

Must admit he was never really in my team, considered him briefly for 3rd attacker spot (gave it to Woltemade) and decided to cover Palace with Guehi/Sarr. I almost had Munoz though. If only I switched Pope to Dubravka, didn't even cross my mind.

Gabriel is definitely template, most people I saw on wildcard even went double Arsenal defense with Timber and looking at how advance Timber plays right now, it does makes perfect sense why they went for it.

I didn't even consider Mateta by the slightest margin for one, Crystal Palace has got Arsenal next, and secondly simply for the same reason why Woltemade wasn't on my radar as well, they hardly ever score more than one goal, and Mateta wouldn't have made my even if I did decide to use that final transfer to switch Joao Pedro, it would have been for Woltemade (at least he played 90 minutes today which is positive sign imo)...

Eze / Florian Wirtz, I don't know who is the worse FPL asset to have between both of them right now.

6.3 is a lot of money for a defender - but only Semenyo's got more points than him of all midfielders, and only Haaland of all strikers. 3 out of the top 5 in most points are defenders - 2 of them from Arsenal.

Still can't put them in my team, football's being played for goals. But yeah - they have huge value as it stands.

Yeah, that's other of the day, that's why 4-4-2, or even 4-5-1 is going to be a really popular formation very soon, those defcon points are really what thinking about, that's what brought me near Caicedo, extra 2 defcon points almost every week, would definitely make a whole lot of difference in the long run, going by the stats on the first page alone, the  13 defenders listed on my screen have more points than Salah, and the 11 Midfielders do as well, Look at Senesi for instance he's got about 14 extra points from the first 8 games of the season for that alone.

I went with the wildcard this week and just took him off. I am at the bottom of the table, so I will be trying out a lot of options to see how far I can get.

There is a lot less pressure at the bottom of the table than at the top, so maybe that's a good thing.



The last two teams Arsenal has played have had no shots on target against us. That's a very impressive record. 

I am looking forward to seeing how we will play against Crystal Palace, who also have a good defensive record.

It is posts like this that after reading I actually think yeah we have our FPL back, managers having faith in a player for long and then heads up to drop him and bang the player gets an attacking return, I think Mateta today garnered points almost equals to the total he has had for the other games combined

I am also stucked with this dilemma of Gyokeres and Joao Pedro both blanked yet again and yet again I am still missing out on Semenyo, I was actually thinking this game week I would make some changes with Salah + Gyokeres for Halaand + Semenyo but still skeptical because we all know this chasing a player most at times definitely back fires. Just looking at what Salah had inspired for tomorrow

Gyökeres has started to be really annoying... It's been 2 weeks since I bought him maybe but I thought he'd improve. Arsenal still have good fixtures for 4 weeks but I don't know man...

I still have João Pedro too and he also plays terrible.    I don't know what I'd have done without Haaland in this situation. He is carrying my team now.

I'm so hesitant about selling at least one of Pedro - Gyökeres duo or not.

Why even risking it guys? Haaland is in the league of his own, playing in top form, getting more chances than half the teams in PL. It isn't brave to go against him at this point, it is foolish. Time for taking that risk will come toward the end of season or sooner if he falters but for now, just stick Haaland with captaincy and search for your differentials elsewhere. Like taking Timber/Calafiori instead of Raya/Gabriel, that seems like a perfect way to be different to me, looking at Arsenal full backs, they will be a cheat code if they continue with the minutes they have so far.

I generally assembled a defensive team this time around - preferred Mateta to both Gyokeres and Woltemade but ended up with Gyokeres, preferred Bruno or Mbeumo to any other midfielder but ended up without any of them.
Following the herd at this point in time, my defence finally looks solid though.

@Trofo - I guess you were right after all. No United assets, I do feel both Bruno and Mbeumo are great options but had to go 3x Arsenal due to insanely good fixtures so there was no room available.

If you ignore the points and watch the games, United assets look good. I think the underlying data will tell you the same. Liverpool's however do not - although Gakpo played the full game today and is a good option if he continues to do so.
