I think Ajax are a good team but are not built to lift the champions League season after season, what happened to them reaching the final was a fairy tale journey, it happens once in a long time, so disappointed that Tottenham cut that story short, I think Paris Saint Germain wants to put that trophy inside their cabinet,it has been a long time and I think they have a better squad to do that now, last season was an adapting process for Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos I think these two can makes a difference this season, while Manchester city seems to have putting what has been missing in their team by bringing a striker like haaland so I think they might nail it this season.

Their chances are very low compared to other teams, so I'm sure their journey this season in the Champions League will not reach the quarter-finals. The Ajax team is strong enough. And they are famous because of their amazing match strategy and gameplay. Despite having relatively few star players, Ajax's performance is very commendable. However, Ajax does not have the squad to qualify for the Champions League final. I don't even think they will qualify for the round of 16. They lost against Liverpool in the last match as well. They must win against Napoli next match. If they fail to win against Napoli, they will not qualify for the next round.

Ajax always have a good team that finishes either in quarters or semi finals of the champions league and each year their team is looking better and better. They can surprise and reach the champions league final but a lot of huge things need to happen for them .

Currently, as they have funds from few transfers now time for them to have quality players which give them quality results in Champions League in future because now things are not easy for them in present.

As you said, strong teams often lose to weaker clubs. We can't predict it, remember that last season Bayern Munich was also the strongest club candidate before finally losing to Villareal which in La Liga they didn't look too good. The Champions League can motivate weak clubs to become strong and because it is a prestigious League there will be many unexpected possibilities. Man City, PSG and clubs that are considered giants must remain vigilant.

Bayern was much better team, not even close on levels, and Villareal took that as advantage and used that to make a good unexpected win. Bayern thought they would win easily, 3-0 or 4-0 style, and they didn't expected a team that strong and united against them. These type of situations do rise up time to time and I believe that it could happen this year as well.

Take a look at 2 season ago winners, Chelsea, they started off badly and then come February after changing coach they won it. Same thing happened to Real Madrid last season, they look a lost team in the group stages and even lost to new comers Sheriff, but they proceed to win it miraculously by beaten the best teams in Europe. Man City look sharp now but its just a start to the season and its also a world Cup season. Let's see till after the world Cup

Will history repeat itself, I  certainly don't think so. A lot has changed in Chelsea, Chelsea players are been regarded as low-class players that can't reach the round of 16. A surprising turnaround can happen but let it not be too late before they start to adhere to the new coach's football patterns.

I was discussing football with my brother and at one point in what seems like an argument, he asked me to name to favourite clubs to win the Champions League. I quickly mentioned Manchester City, Bayern Munich and PSG. And I told him that these are surely one of the people we will see in the finals. I was now telling him to mention, he said how did I forget Real Madrid. I immediately came back to my senses that those guys can't be written off in champions league even if they decided to play with their fans instead of their players.

In group A Napoli lead at the top with an unbeaten appearance in the group stage. While Liverpool and Rangers accepted defeat in in their previous match with Napoli
Ajax will host Napoli in week 3 of the Champions League group stage next October, before this Ajax suffered a defeat against Liverpool. Even Ajax see unable to maintain their performance when they met Liverpool yesterday, then what happens when they face Napoli later.

Yes like Leipzig, Madrid just won in the last minutes (80' and 90'), and they have strong resistance from the Bundesliga club which I think will continue when have met the bavarian. Real Madrid is also not expected to be Champions in the Zidane era because too many clubs strong than them, but all the thing is not the same on the fields. And in fact, they are capable of being Champion because they have mental for that.

I think, it will be difficult for PSG to win this season trophy because their starting in this UEFA champions competition, showed that they will not go far in this season if their coach continue benching some of the players that know how to attract early goals on the first half. The world cup tournament seems to tire the players a lot.  After crashing from this exhausting marathon and playing in the champions league, we may see more injuries this year.  Manchester City started very well.  Squad quality is also very high.  I think they can win UCL with Haaland this year.

I think you are absolutely right here in the Europa Champions League it takes a long time but I think there are a lot of players who give their best game but from here I think it will be a long game and we will see good games.  We have to wait for him

There are strong teams in the champions league this season but their is this team that always beat big teams but they will not still near the finals. Ajax Amsterdam, Paris Saint Germain and Manchester city. Ajax can win tough clubs in the league and still yet, would be eliminated from either round 8 or quarter finals. Manchester city were once given the chance to lift the UEFEA trophy but they failed after losing to Chelsea in the finals. Concerning PSG, I don't really know their problem and can't just see the reason why they can't win the UEFEA because they have one of the best squad in the league and they always lift the Ligue 1 title with ease. Let's hope one of them lift the trophy this season.

This is going to be a long season and with the world cup coming up soon the league fixtures are really tight so it is understandable to see some squad rotations on various occasions to give room to other players and to rest the best ones for tougher games. Sometimes these rotations term to drop the teams performance but in the long run it is important to preserve the best players for the toughest games.

I agreed with your first half of this review but not with all as Chelsea is surely having some trouble specially after lost of their first Russian owner and now with the change of Coach which is also not good for them on this time with these changes most chances they are going to be had hard challenge to reach into last 16 teams their opening matches are giving all their performance indicators even they have few world-class players, but they are not able to preform as they needed to do this.

Real Madrid is doing good and having good run in their start of this season with La Liga and Champions League both results are giving how strong they are even god of soccer is not with them in this season for title, but I have feeling lady of luck always with them in affair with this Champions League, and they can do something special even having not good chance with this most chances this year Champions League title is going to be with the which is going to win this first time.

Ajax cannot be underestimated. There are many things that Ajax can do to survive in the group stage. Even though there are Napoli and Liverpool, Ajax opportunities are still open. There are 3 matches left to see who survives in Group A. So, if there are 2 matches remaining, it will be clear which club has qualified. I think that Ajax and the young players currently developing need time, but the Champions League is always unpredictable.

I can't say that Ajax is a less famous team than Napoli, I would even say that in recent years Ajax have achieved much better results in the European arena. Ajax score a lot in every match, except for the match with Liverpool when they managed to score only one goal. I thought that Ajax and Liverpool would be the leaders, but Napoli also turned out to be very ambitious and, unexpectedly for me, beat Liverpool. Nothing is clear about this group yet.

I was curious about why Real Madrid's odd was high again as it was around 1.65. However I still trusted them with my bet and won nicely. Considering the strength of their opponents so far these were really nice opportunities for placing a bet on them. It will be the same for their Shakhtar match also. I'd love to have another odd like this to take advantage of it. 

I am not sure why Madrid odds was quite high compare to other teams odds such as Manchester City or PSG which is usually very low but my thoughts is because this season Madrid is not the first favourite to win champion league so that's why they have high odds for each matches but i think this is good opportunity to bets for them because they can wins for almost every matches and last week too while against Celtic bookmakers provide high odds for them approximately @1.73 next match against Shakhtar probably the odds will not so different

I've checked it and seen this.    This time Real Madrid's odd is very low which is not worth adding to a betslip. Real Madrid over 1.5 goals doesn't have any odd yet so maybe it might be more logical to bet on. Because Real Madrid don't have much problem on scoring multiple goals now.


Ajax are indeed not a team that should be underestimated in the Champions League. Ajax have a couple of titles won in this tournament in the distant past. When we come back to the near history of the tournament we can see a season that they reached the semi final too. They have been a much more successful team than Napoli here as a result. I'm aware of how strong Napoli are playing now. But the most important part of this group will be the matches between Napoli and Ajax. They are going to face each other two times in a row now. We will see for real which side is better this season.
