I would guess that it's more about not having some sort of system built in that players could get used to. When national teams gather around so rarely and all those players come from their teams, we could guess that it's hard to adjust to that life style.

But if you have a single manager for a long time, you could make the team play the same way for decades and that means the yare going to get used to it, even change the way players play at the league as well. He is an amazing manager and I bet that he is going to end up with Italy getting better thanks to him as well. I can't really see why not, he is good enough to change the club over again, not like they were bad just a few years ago, they will get better again quickly I think.

Replacing retired players has been an issue with Central and Eastern European teams for some time. Putting pressure on the coach is not going to resolve this issue. The German football federation needs to look in to grassroots, and examine why the quality of play is on the decline. Or it maybe due to the fact that third world nations are getting elevated to the level of Germany and other European teams.

I am quite sure that Luciano Spalletti can take Italy through to the next stage, even though it is at a different level, but his success with Napoli can be transmitted to the Italian national team. The victory over Ukraine was very memorable for him, because it was his first match with Italy. Regarding player call-ups, I think Spalletti will keep some and change the line-up according to their performance at club level. If you look at the composition of players in terms of average age, it is actually very good, namely 26,1. You could say that the Italian squad is filled with a mix of young and senior players.

Yes, the step that Germany must take is to develop their young players. I agree with you that currently players in third countries in the world of football have increasingly developed. That's because they really develop their young talents. Currently I see that the German squad is filled with many old players or at least those aged 25++. Asian countries have grown stronger and many of their players are competing in the Top European Leagues. I think it won't be long before the power of Asian football develops in the future.

Italy has a good chance of reaching the playoffs, they have an equal number of points with Ukraine and North Macedonia, but at the same time they have played one less game than the other teams. I agree that Italy should have played more confidently in the group stage, but apparently the team is still coming out of a slump, perhaps Spalletti will help the team, it’s too early to draw conclusions about his work.

He has an impressive CV as well, first Leipzig and some success, after that Bayern and maybe not that great but still a few cups and all that, so he does look like someone who could be considered. I bet that he is going to make the team a bit better, but not a lot better.

Going to euro cup or world cup is not an achievement for a team like Germany, they should be doing that easily, going out of the group stages should be easily done too but last world cup they failed, so I am assuming that the first goal should be going to euro cup and then getting out of the group stages, that should be important, and then we are talking about world cup, which they should go out of the group stages there too, and hopefully a few more wins.

I will address both points in seperate lines in my own understanding.

Nagelsman DID not fail at Bayern Munich; he had an impressive record with the team winning 72% of games and losing just 8 games in 2 years while at the helm in Germany. Bayern Munich sacking Nagelsman was not about respect or footballing reasons; just politics and they suffered for it rightly.

Secondly; Germany national team under Hansi Flick was the coach fault, he kept on selecting under performing players for national games without making necessary changes or statement. The German side is talented, but Hansi Flick always call under performing Haverts and even starts him too ahead of quality players in form!

Finally, i do not think Nagelsman will have troubles putting the house in order; all he needs is the backing of the Germany football board and all erring players will be dealt with in ease.
