Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency

Bitcoin is now global currency because we can spend it all over the world but not all stores accepting bitcoin yet in their mode of payment but i think in the future bitcoin would be much prefer currency to used in purchasing of our daily needs.

I don't really think you can spend bitcoin as it is all over the world. Bitcoin can be transferred easily online so it is really very convenient for money transfers compared to using western union and the likes. But mostly these transfers are converted to the local currencies when they get to the recipients. So i think we can consider btc to be a global currency when at least a couple of major busineses and service providers accept them as a form of payment and transactional exchanges

maybe now we only condition bitcoin as a global currency. but, in fact bitcoin is only used on the internet, and is still very much a country that has not been used in practice. but bitcoin growing quickly, I'm sure in a few years bitcoin will begin to develop, accepted in all countries, and become a global currency.

But, on the other hand, if you lived outside the US, could you pay with the US dollars your utility bills elsewhere directly (barring some small countries which use the dollar as their official currency)? I guess you can't, but could you thus consider dollars as not a global currency? If you can't either, was is global currency then? There are specific cases where you can pay with dollars, but basically the same can be said about Bitcoin as well. For example, how many online casinos use the US dollar (or any other fiat, for that matter) as a money token for gambling? I don't think that a lot, but I think that the volume gambled in Bitcoin online casinos by far exceeds the volume gambled in fiat ones (compared on the dollar basis, of course)

So you can say Bitcoin is global, since it can be used independent of the nation you live in or belong to. But can we say it is a currency? Because i doubt that. To be a currency you need to be able to pay with it and since Bitcoin is not everywhere accepted or at least not widely i would say it is not a currency yet.

If it is not accepted everywhere then it do not mean that bitcoin is not global as the problem in that is that these people do not know about bitcoin and whenever they come to learn about bitcoin they will accept it in their country so as it is used in many places as currency then it is a currency and is a global currency.

I do not think there is a global currency. Maybe this is a thing of the future. USD and EUR are just the next best thing, Bitcoin is not even close, although the idea of Bitcoin has potential.
Whether Bitcoin online casinos gamble a greater volume then fiat casinos (on and off and different currencies) i can not say, because i do not know the numbers. But the number of people and the high amounts that are gambled in fiat seem hard to beat in Bitcoin, where i expect quite a lot of fake volume.

Indeed it was even at the start.  We all know that the  purpose of bitcoin is to be able to have a transaction thru peer to peer meaning a direct transaction between individual without any middleman.  This automatically means transact anyone all over the world and that makes Bitcoin to be a global currency.

there maybe some criteria for a currency to be called as global currency ,
not just it is used almost in every country around the world ,
but also how much percentage people use the currency , how much they spend etc ,
for me personally bitcoin not yet become a global currency , a lot of people don't know bitcoin yet.

Widely used does not mean used by majority of people in this world. I do not see that happening in the future, it's very limited in terms of benefits we can get, the investing opportunity will probably not majorities interest, they just want to use a currency that they can transaction with convenience and bitcoin is not what they are looking as it is good for online transaction only.

actually still majority of people are not aware of bitcoin and specially in backward countries where most of the people do not have any access to internet or they do not afford the expenses of internet, so as time pass the users of bitcoin are increasing and hope that very soon bitcoin will be use by the majority of people. and then we will enjoy the facilities of bitcoin as currencies in most of the areas.

Many people are saying that bitcoin is scam not only one person even my friends when i was introduce bitcoin they said that bitcoin is scam but the fact the y really do not know about it..
Because of anonymity and bitcoin are live in online they are afraid of scam because news are always giving some online warnings about scammers that is why people are always thinking scam first even bitcoin is not really a scam if they know bitcoin well
