Australia are 4-down now. David Warner finally got out, to the bowling of Haris Rauf. He made a super-human 163 from 124 balls, that included 9 sixes. Josh Inglis and Marcus Stoinis at the crease now, and they are known for power-hitting. Australia at 330/4 after 43 overs. 10 runs per over should get them past 400. Even this total would not be the highest in the tournament so far. South Africa made 428 against Sri Lanka a few days back. But it should be more than enough to get 2 points and a good NRR boost from this match.

It must be said that the Australian batsmen gave away wickets towards the end. If the opening pair had not scored 250 runs, I don't think Australia's total would have crossed 350 plus today. That may be the problem for the Australian team, they may be completely dependent on their opening pair. Two top order batsmen did well while rest of the batsmen did not do well at all. Australia were supposed to be over 400 given where the two opening batsmen had left their innings but towards the end the Pakistani bowlers may have got the wickets they didn't ask for. Win Predictor says that Pakistan has only 25% chance of winning this match and Australia has 75% chance of winning this match. 
Since the target is 368, it can be assumed that Australia will win this match.

The way Australia batted today was really good, I thought Pakistan might bowl well today, but they didn't bowl that well. Pakistan didn't bowl very well at the start and gave Australia a lot of runs due to which Australia today scored 367 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. However, the duo of Australia's two batsmen was outstanding, especially Mitchell Marsh and Warner with an average of 284 runs. Both of them had a batting performance to watch and put up strong batting due to which they were making huge scores and scored brilliant centuries. Australia managed to collect so many runs for the pair of these two batsmen in today's match, but the target given by Australia may be under a lot of pressure to meet Pakistan. The way Australia scored runs at the beginning of the game. That's exactly how Pakistan will need to score runs to meet the target. Now if Pakistan can play sustainably and bat well then it will be possible to reach the target.

At the end of 10 overs of the power play, Australia's collection was 82 runs. Australia collected 39 runs in the ninth and tenth overs, due to which they managed to  collect a big one after 10 overs. Pakistan collected 59 runs without losing  any wicket at the end of 10 overs. Since the team is yet to lose a wicket, I  would say that Pakistan's two openers have been able to collect quite well.
Pakistan squad has several batsmen who are capable of scoring big. If the two openers are able to build a partnership of 150 runs then Pakistan may be able to continue  fighting to win the match. Babar, Rizwan, Iftikhar and Shakeel are all good batsmen and can bat aggressively. So the two openers should try to  stay at the crease, and bat at a  decent strike rate. If they  waste the ball too much, the Pakistani batsmen  will be under more pressure.

I won't say there is absolutely no chance of Pakistan winning. This is a much more difficult task, but it is not impossible. The outfield is very fast. If Pakistan's batsmen can stay at the crease, they have a chance to win this match. Scoring runs will not be too difficult if Pakistan's batsmen can stay at the crease. But the performance of Pakistan's batsmen is very erratic. They cannot be trusted.

Pakistani openers Imam Ul Haque and Abdullah Shafique have started well. Pakistan collected 40 runs in 5 overs. The team has not lost any wicket yet. They are batting very smoothly. Chasing down a score of 360+ is never easy, no matter what the pitch is like. But runs are coming from Pakistani batters, which is a good sign. However, they need to be cautious about not losing wickets quickly because if they lose 2/3, it puts them under pressure. Still, I believe Pakistan has a chance to chase this total, especially on this flat track with a small boundary. It's an opportunity for them to score and win the game. But, Australia is the favorite, and I think they might win comfortably.

Batting for a target of 368 is difficult to win, and very difficult. But it is not impossible. And that's what I mean. It is possible. But the top order players must play well. Australia scored 284 runs from their two openers. Pakistan need to get at least 150 runs from their two openers. Otherwise it will be impossible to win such a big target. Also Babar and Rizwan are in good form. We saw that they batted very responsibly against Sri Lanka in big targets as well. And that's why I think the match will be very competitive. But Pakistan's chances of winning are now said to be 20-25%. Australia's chances of victory are high if they can do controlled bowling.

Australia lost their third wicket in the 27th over. Captain Babar Azam returned to the dressing room with just 18 runs. If Babar Azam was at the crease, Pakistan  would have won. I was always expecting australia - pakistan to be a  high scoring game and AUS  ended up scoring 367 runs  in the 1st inning,  they were actually predicted  to scoree 400+ runs during the middle innings  but some good overs for pakistan atleast gave them a fighting  chance in this match

Pakistan victory surely depended on babar azam but he got  out with just 18 runs, australia are now 1.13  odds live and pakistan chances  look slim

The required run rate keeps on creeping and if Australia is able to pick wickets then it is going to be a difficult chase for Pakistan even though they had a good start just like Australia when they started. With the way Australia started, for a while i expected them to score above 400 but full credits to Pakistan bowlers for pulling the match back and started picking up wickets after breaking the opening partnership.

In the end, Australia's innings ended on 367 runs. They should have collected more than 400. Because the two openers batted brilliantly. The team lost 9 wickets to collect these 367 runs.

After collecting 259 runs from the first wicket pair, the team could not collect 300 runs. The middle order batted very poorly. Apart from the two openers, no other player can bat well. Australia collected only 28 runs in the last 6 overs. I expected some better batting from Australia's middle order.

Pakistan's fielding was not good enough today. If the fielding was good, they could have stopped the Australian team within 350. Shaheen Shah Afridi bowled brilliantly today. If one more bowler like Afridi did well today, Australia would not have collected so much. He took 5 wickets for just 54 runs in 10 overs. However, let's see how Pakistan performs batting against such a big target.

After 33 overs, Australia's total was 245/0. In the last 17 overs they collected 122 runs and lost 9 wickets. They averaged a little over 7 runs per over. The batting of Australia's two openers looked like they would deliver a target of over 400. But after the two openers are out, no batsman can bat responsibly. The two openers put together 284 runs today and Pakistan gave 25 extra runs. The collection of the remaining 9 batsmen of Australia was only 58 runs. Had Maxwell or Smith been able to stay at the crease, the team could have collected around 400.

Haris Rouf scored the most runs among Pakistani bowlers today. Despite picking up three wickets, he conceded 83 runs in 8 overs. I miss Naseem Shah today. If Naseem Shah was in the squad along with Afridi, maybe Pakistan's bowling attack would have been stronger.

Losing a pile of wickets after a mammoth partnership is very common but in the last 10 overs Pakistani bowlers managed to keep the scoring level below par which helped them to score than what we expected. Adam Zampa bowled brilliantly today. He picked up three wickets. But the important thing is that he picked the wickets of three very important batsmen of Pakistan. Zampa took the wickets of Babar, Rizwan and Iftikhar. We don't see better bowling today than Starc and Stoinis. They gave a lot of runs today. A win in today's match will see Australia move up to third on the points table.

It was turning out to be a perfect chase, almost but Aussie kept chipping wickets in intervals. Now I can understand why Pakistani fans use the word "Zimbabar" every now n then.

Going forward Australia needs to work on their catching, they also dropped a few catches and gave good competition to Pakistan's fielders. Today they were saved but against top teams, it'll cost them a match.

At current time, M.Nawaz and U.Mir are batting in the pitch and recently I.Ahmed dismissed from the pitch by A.Zampa bowler of Australia team. But other players did show Their actual performance in front of Australia including Captain. Now let's see they will chase down this remaining target or not? Pakistan was defeated by 62 runs in this match against Australia. Pakistan were bowled out in 45 overs where they managed to score 305 runs before being bowled out. Pakistan needed 62 runs in 5 overs when they were all out. My bet was on Pakistan in this match and I was a Pakistan supporter in this match so as a Pakistan supporter I felt bad that if Pakistan could have held their wicket for a little longer they could have chased down another big target and won. The opening two batsmen got off to a great start and did more than they were required to do but Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan shied away from the task. These two reliable batsmen needed to stay on the wicket for a while longer.  
When Babar Azam and Mohammad Rezwan got some stability on the wicket, I thought that maybe these two batsmen would seal Pakistan's victory and then strike but in reality something different happened. Congratulations to David Warner and congratulations to Australia for a nice win.

Well.. let's not blame the Pakistani batsmen. A target of 368 would have been quite formidable even against weak teams such as Sri Lanka. And here we have Australia, who has world class bowlers. It was a near-impossible task to start with. But then credit goes to the Pakistani batsmen for giving a tough fight. They kept the losing margin to two digits. And this is going to matter, when the semi-final slots will be decided on the basis of net run rate. And as of now, both Australia and Pakistan are having equal points.
