And it's not like Pakistan gave a tough fight in any ODI match against India. This year every single ODI encounter was one sided and with every defeat, they felt the identity crisis in general and the morale went down for everyone. This added more frustration and it was quite visible from silly statements by Director Mickey Arthur etc.

Kiwis are a dangerous team, and facing them again in the semis is like our own PTSD moment. 

LOL.. agreed on both Pakistan and New Zealand. Pakistani players seems to be suffering from a low morale. There are excuses, such as the absence of Naseem Shah. But then, it is not good for any of the teams to be dependent upon a single player. And even if Naseem was included in the squad, there is no guarantee that Pakistan would have performed better. And in case of New Zealand, they are a side capable of making upsets. But they don't always perform well in Indian conditions, unlike teams like Australia and South Africa.

India lost in the 2019 ODI WC semis, got thrashed in the T-20 Semis, and lost 2 back to back finals in the WTC. We heard everything but excuses. Yeah, a couple of excuses were there but the main talking point and all scrutiny were focused on why the team lost the key moments. Pakistan seems to missing this and always practices knee jerk reactions.

Fingers crossed for the semis  and I am not sure if I'll be able to watch it live if we are 5/3 in the first 3 overs again lol.

Undoubtedly, just as Afghanistan is playing with the reality against South Africa today, Pakistan will have to play with the reality against England that they will not be able to qualify for the semi-finals in any way.

They have got hope, especially if they get to bat first, I really hope they do get to bat first. Zaman, Babar, Rizwan, Iftikar — 400+ target is entirely possible.

Although the top order is not playing well, the responsible batting of Azmatullah Omarzai is moving towards a decent target for the Afghanistan team. At the end of 47 overs, Afghanistan team managed to collect 224 runs. Afghanistan lost 8 wickets. Azmatullah Omarzai is now at the crease. Azmatullah Omarzai is unbeaten with 83 runs from 96 balls. If you can target over 250 I think it will be a good enough collection to fight. Because the pitch is not completely batting friendly. Moreover, the South African team in the run chase is a bit weak. Even if the target is not big, Afghanistan will make the match competitive.

It is the 42 match of ICC world cup. it is the between south Africa and Afghanistan. it is very important match for both team.Afghanistan won the toss and elected batting. The South African bowler bowled Afghanistan fifth batsman in the fifth ball of the 26th over. Afghanistan makes 244, unfortunately Hazmat couldn't make century and stayed not-out at 97. They managed to score good total despite having a poor start.

The way Afghanistan lost wickets at the start I didn't think they would end up scoring 240 plus runs in the first innings. Perhaps Afghanistan lost the first 6 wickets between 110 runs and 120 runs. If a team loses their first 6 wickets within 100 runs then the 200 plus runs from that team in the end is nothing but responsible batting by the late batsmen. South Africa have collected a lot in the tournament so I would never say that they will have an easy win against Afghanistan.

To score 240 plus runs, South Africa will have to play responsible batting. Although I don't have confidence in Afghanistan's batting, I have enough confidence in Afghanistan's bowlers. It will not be easy for the African batsmen to deal with Afghanistan's bowlers. If Afghanistan wants to win this match, they must get out the opening four or five batsmen quickly, only then Afghanistan can finish the last match with victory.

Afghanistan keeps improving its batting. Normally against big teams, you expect the tail to fold up quickly but Afghans are learning how to bat 50 overs regularly and they did it already a couple of times in this WC edition despite a mini collapse.

Why not you apply for the DJ position and suggest here before you apply what song you would want to play? The common sense here is that they are not playing for international audience. They are playing for those Indians who have come to watch the match. You should understand one point the World Cup is happening in India and the crowd that you see are Indians and not foreigners.

Coming back to the match which I skipped watching. I think this match and the next coming up between England and Pakistan are just time pass. There is nothing to watch as it is clear like Afganistan, Pakistan would play in the same manner.

Yesterday's defeat to Sri Lanka crushed Pakistan's dream of reaching the semi-finals. There is no chance for Pakistan to reach the semi-finals. Because Pakistan does not have the power to defeat England by such a huge margin and no matter how big a miracle happens, Pakistan cannot defeat England by such a huge margin. So in this world cup for now Pakistan will not dream of playing semi-final as they were looking at the match between Sri Lanka and New Zealand and if New Zealand were to lose then there was a chance of Pakistan reaching the semi-final but with the defeat all the chances are nil.

It is never possible for Pakistan to qualify for the semi-finals because the England Pakistan match is such that if Pakistan wins the toss and bats, they will have to collect 500 runs and England will have to be bowled out within 50 runs. Such an equation is only possible in imagination but very difficult to implement in practice.

I was listening to the commentators after the post-match ceremony. They were saying that in case Pakistan bats first and make 300, then they need to bowl out England for around 50. On the other hand, if England bats first then they need to bowl out England for 50 runs and then chase down the target in 2.5 overs. So we are almost assured of a semi-final match between India and New Zealand. The other semi-final match is between South Africa and Australia. The knockout phase for sure is going to be very interesting.  

Hehe. This is an impossible equation unless England badly wants Pakistan to play in the semi-finals. They may give them a chance, wait, I should not talk nonsense as these things are not going to happen anyway.

Your last words that Afghanistan finished this game by victory this would be doubtful because the opposite of Afghanistan team is South Africa team, this is not weak team at all in fact they are quite strong team in this tournament, in past they won several games of this tournament with huge margin of runs. Now, they chase down 66 runs target in 13 overs with lost one wicket of Captain T.Bavuma. He dismissed at 23 runs from 28 balls with three 4s. Current Batsmen are strong and good attackers in batting lineup. Kock scored 41 runs in 47 balls with two 4s and three 6s.

Bangladesh is ahead in the current equation of playing Champions Trophy. I am talking about how Bangladesh is ahead in this equation.  If Bangladesh bats first and Bangladesh must bat for a minimum of 23 overs in the second innings, regardless of how many they collect.  If Australia wins in 23.1 overs, still Bangladesh will qualify for the Champions Trophy by being slightly ahead in terms of net run rate. On the other hand, if Bangladesh bats in the second innings and if Australia scores 400 runs in the first innings and if Bangladesh can score 190 runs, then Bangladesh will qualify for the Champions Trophy. Actually nothing can be said for sure about the game. Australia is a strong team they have already secured semi finals. Australia vs Bangladesh match tomorrow. There will be a change in the field for Australia tomorrow. Shakib Al Hasan is unable to play tomorrow's match due to injury. It is not possible to say how much success Enamul Haque will be able to show instead. However, the absence of Shakib Al Hasan is really disappointing for Bangladesh.Then Bangladesh must perform well against a strong team. Bangladesh's victory against Australia will not be so easy.
