The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

They will be mining other (most profitable) coins which will then be traded for XBC on an exchange and sent to miners.

Thank you jcarl. Allow me to elaborate a bit.

Multipool mining for PoS coins is something that BC started. It's a way to indirectly get XBC through mining.

Basically you're mining other POW altcoins, selling them for BTC, and using that BTC to buy XBC....the pool automatically does this process. So miners connect to mine, and get paid in XBC.

This is great for PoS coins because it will add constant buying pressure when the pool makes market purchases in order to do the payout of XBC.

Hashcows have updated to our new wallet/network

I've seen a lot of talk about creating a little boost toward hashco pool, I jumped in with everybody else and added 25 mh/s i'll keep on it. Selson added 15mh/s. If you want to create a little buy pressure now would be a good time to join us and throw in your hash at https://hashco.ws/

As such, we've contracted out our official multipool which will be at xbcpool.com. Had a long meeting with wallenstein tonight, we have developed quite a few plans moving forward which we'll be discussing in the coming days. That said, I would still like to ask the community to step in and get involved because we want everybody helping our cause. Join up on our forums https://xbcplus.com/community/ and chime in, I'm going to have Coinerz add a few more subforums now (I believe he is under the weather).

A few priorities of ours are to formulate a PR campaign and to have input on the interface of our next wallet revision (now that we have functionality, we can give it a nicer / easier to use interface + additional features. Bring your ideas and suggestions to the table for us, we work to make everything happen, the more hands we have on deck the better Smiley

Hi,

I have some XBC on Bittrex, I want to withdraw these to my new wallet. But this is not possible because they are using the old blockchain/wallet. I have tested this by sending little amount XBC to my offline wallet, but never received.

So, I have asked if Bittrex has removed the XBC market, because I can't find it back on Bittrex.
They have answered and said:
------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, the market is getting disabled. Please withdraw your balance.

Thanks
Richie
------------------------------------------------------------------

So how can I withdraw my XBC to my new wallet?

Sincerely,

Wiskunde

Info:

- I had PM'ed SeriousCoins14
- He react today within 12 hours
- He gave me a generated old XBC address
- I have send XBC's to that address
- Then I PM'ed my new XBC address
- He have send within minutes the new XBC's to my new XBC address

Status: Happy Smiley

I want thank all who has respond to my post, and SeriousCoins14!

Sincerely,

Wiskunde

Glad to hear it Wiskunde Smiley, I apologize for the delay I finally broke down and went to sleep as soon as you came forward  Grin

Yes if anybody else has any more issues please feel free to PM me or write me in our IRC #xbc. Please do not delete any wallet.dat files, back them up before you do anything. If you withdrew coins from a new network exchange (Poloniex) to an old network address (or vise verse) - they should be recoverable (I'm testing this now) by importing the private keys which should be compatible with both networks. Ultimately if you have any questions please speak to me first.

Thus far I am waiting on a reply from hashco to upgrade to our new wallet, I've also reached out to the rest of the exchanges hosting XBC. At this time Poloniex is the only place I can 100% verify is using our new network -- so a withdraw from poloniex should be to the new wallet, everything else please err on the side of caution and open tickets / contact me if need be.

Also, you can verify what I mean by "old network" and "new network" by checking the version number in your wallet - click help - about bitcoinplus and note the version number.

New network version: 1.6.0.0
Old network version: v0.9.0.0-Hash

Do not send coins from the old wallet to poloniex; they should be recoverable but it will require Poloniex staff to do some digging, if you have done so please open a support ticket with them.

How should I contact you?  I withdrew last night from Poli to my old address.

Ok,

So who here would like to see us hit Mintpal? We have done really well so far with the community voting us to #26 on the list, soon to be #25. We need one final surge to push us up into the top 10.

The news & attention alone of us hitting a big exchange like Mintpal would work wonders for XBC at this stage.
We have the Devs, tools & community in place - now we could use a 2nd & bigger exchange as a solid platform to launch from.

Myself & Seriouscoins are turning to the community to help raise a 'mintpal voting fund' for people to contribute to, to help us further up the list for one final surge.

Here is the direct link to the Mintpal voting page for XBC: https://www.mintpal.com/voting#XBC

I will personally donate to this cause as I am an XBC investor.

All the best,

Wolfy.

I'd think Mintpal voting should be a priority and/or Cryptsy. Coinpayments + moolah should also be gone after too.

Poloniex is fine, but extra legroom is always nice. Relying on one exchange only is never that great. Big XBC whales should look at MP as an investment, as I don't think poloniex will have the volume by itself to support too many xbc whales trying to swim about. I guess asking the original dev to use some of the ipo money for MP voting is out of the question, right?

Now that we do have the capacity to grow, I agree we can begin pressing for new exchanges. Myself and Wallenstein are working on completing a white sheet and having a bit of a PR campaign so spreading the word to other exchanges would only be a benefit. We're also going to make sure we have daily updates to our website to keep it from becoming stale while we work on our webstore and selson wraps up our first product batch. Don't forget we're also up on cryptsy voting.

https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/4000275082 - This is a support ticket that was opened a while ago for cryptsy to add XBC, get in there and start chiming in to add us.

Cryptsy also added a BTC voting address for XBC recently: https://www.cryptsy.com/coinvotes/

https://www.mintpal.com/voting#XBC -- I will also buy votes 100 at a time over the coming days, if you guys want mintpal make sure you keep voting every hour and dump a few bucks into their voting address here and there - 14gkCYbVgRpzAuEPPQxfiiv1RzTU4NNgJf

I'm also going to reimburse as much as I can back to the address we initially created for an Android wallet so we can get that rolling now. If anybody else wants to contribute with further short term or long term project proposals please feel free to chime in!

We're looking to expand into new markets, meet new investors, and bring in new talent, if you have something to offer XBC you are more then welcome to join our team! Come join us at https://xbcplus.com/community/ and introduce yourself, more subforums will be added as we need them

Sorry guys, been pretty busy sorting this transition out and planning our next steps carefully.

Also dealing with team/dev-related issues which a few of you might know about. Regardless to say, this isn't something we want to make a big fuss about since the more attention it gets, the more out of hand it will become.

Hi,

I have some XBC on Bittrex, I want to withdraw these to my new wallet. But this is not possible because they are using the old blockchain/wallet. I have tested this by sending little amount XBC to my offline wallet, but never received.

Richie
------------------------------------------------------------------

So how can I withdraw my XBC to my new wallet?

Sincerely,

Wiskunde

I would suggest you first, take a screenshot of your balance...basically get as much evidence together of your existing balance as you can.
This way, should anything actually happen to your old coins, at least you'll have multiple pieces of evidence for us to work with when swapping the coins (of course seriouscoins will have last say on exact process as I'm not sure what he exactly has planned). Better to be extra safe and careful just in case.

What's the staking time for XBC?

Originally was 30 days...but I believe it's been reduced significantly. The min age is now 24 hours.

[10:47] <Selsonblue> So, min stake age 1 day. max 40.. So for coins you hold for 50 days. if you open the wallet. Will it sync and stake for those 50 days and then stop staking on those older coins?
[10:47] <mindfox_home> transactions not coins
[10:47] <mindfox_home> it will calculate the "interest" for every transaction that is mature enough
[10:48] <mindfox_home> but the maximum interest you can get, is 40 days
[10:48] <mindfox_home> so, as soon as a transaction is 41+ days old, the interest (reward) will be the same
[10:48] <mindfox_home> the reason is to give incentive for people to keep their wallets regularly open

I dought that .. my wallet is 5 days old and open 4 days and never staked anything!
