There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

The price is going to be played with right now while we're building the foundation. There's also been some well deserved successes for other coins on the market. This has drawn a bit of attention away from XBC while we are getting ready for the relaunch. Eyes are on us. As soon as the foundation is in place, we're going bombs away. I think the biggest mistake the new team has made so far isn't the delay with the wallets, but was asking people to send all their coins to poloniex in anticipaton of the coin swapover. This raised false expectations that the wallet was ready at that moment. It also was like telling a compulsive gambler to go empty his bank account and bring all of his money to the casino. People are extremely impatient, see other coins moving up, and either panic sell, or just want to get in on other coins. Things like LCL and XLC probably drained some money out of XBC too. So testing and such is important, but if possible, I really suggest getting this wallet thing fixed by the end of this week. If it drags on too long, I think people will gamble away their XBC just because they see it all sitting there. |

Possibly. But the gambler type seems to make up a really large percentage of coin holders, so I wouldn't just dismiss them. Hardcore serious investor types also will hold the coin to a higher standard, so the committee/dev team will need to do some really nice things to attract them. I do agree that less pumping/dumping would be nice. I am used to calm coins that sort of move up slowly (DRK), not coins that can't find its floor. I'd much prefer slow growth. |

How long has it been since the new wallet was supposed to come out, 1-2 weeks? People are so insanely impatient in cryptoland, I don't quite get it. Again, other coins have had wallet issues drag on over a month. Wouldn't you rather the wallet be bug free, than rushed out? I think this new dev just started on the wallet less than a week ago? Besides, say a new wallet came out tonight. How does that make everything right in your world vs several days from now? Unless it's an all-singing/all-dancing wallet, I don't see why it matters. |

I think that's a little unfair on the IRC mods. They do a thankless job and I've never seen them tell anyone to 'shut up'. The latest news is always in the announcement so why not point people there? There are people coming in every 15 minutes pretty much round the clock, put yourself in their position. That being said, if you are leaving then best of luck for the future  |

I'm just curious, how long has Mindfox been on this project? Thanks. He's been on the project for the last couple of days (2-3 days) from what I understand. He has been visible in our chat, showing his commitment and communicating in IRC, keeping everyone appraised. Well this is good news. XBC may finally be on the right path. It's been a shaking out process, but I really do believe in the group. I've personally invested a tremendous amount of time to this effort and will so long as it takes to make this thing self sufficient. There are many others that feel the same way. I would say that we have nothing but good things ahead of us! Latest update on our wallet/relaunch!

Its getting a bit scary...I hope this wallet is real... I hope this all hasn't been a big stall tactic and they're slowly dumping... The chatter and news have decreased so much I'm getting more and more concerned. The big XBC holders will make A LOT more money and have a solid coin if this dev team can actually produce a real wallet. It would be incredibly short-sighted to kill it at this point for the profit already gained. As soon as this wallet comes out the coins value will skyrocket that is almost certain. BUT where has the dev been lately?

I hope someone from the Devs could answer this. The great part is after everyone gets a chance to use the wallet, we can take suggestions for features and contract mindfox to help implement them  (ie: chat integration, address book, coin stats, etc) |
