Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I am glad to see everything cleared up. Now we can move forward from here.

If you are invested in XBC please let's continue the focus on that and not the past.

I think people are concerned with what happened to the BTC raised from the IPO, not the xbc

I agree that the potential is enormous, but of course we'll have to wait and see if it reaches its potential. But that is all we mostly buy here anyway in cryptoland, coins based on potential.

At first I wasn't fond of the name either. Then I realized that for the general public, it may be a plus... well, plus in the sense they have some familiarity with the term bitcoin already. If the coin hits the press or gets more publicity, the name may work in its favor.

I don't seeing as all of the committee put together hold over 20% of all the xbc coins! I for one do not see why the committee for xbc are not willilng to use their own funds but keep asking the community to pay for things.
the committee is not the community anymore since the day that they became a part of the committee! they are now very big share holders of a (what could be a very valuable coin) and they are trying their hardest to make sure they get to cash in on it!

I say stop asking the community for hand out's and put your hands in your pockets to pay for everything to do with xbc coin and stop crying about other devs, old devs or new devs making new coins.
you obviously had more than enough btc to invest in xbc to become a whale and now you're holding in the hope that it will reach somewhere in the region 0.5-1:1 with btc so you can all be rich! it makes me sick to see people like this that call other people scam artist when they are doing it themselves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you realize many of the "community donations" come from the same people. Much of our bounties for promotions and giveaways also come out of the organizers' pocket. So I'd say the committee and team members have been using their own funds to pay for projects.

Actually I have paid for everything up until the block explorer. We have gone 2 BTC over budget which was mostly handled by seriouscoins (although I offered to pay for this as well). We are all having this discussion because very few people are donating and lots of people are misinformed.

Folks if you are going to post in this thread lets please get back on task and discuss XBC and our current projects. As you all know myself and XBCPlus have been working toward a peaceful resolution to the issues at hand, theres no need to rally with torches. We have built this coin to its current state as a large group of honest, hard working people. I've taken the helm and worked myself to the bone because I know this community is going to boost this coin into the major leagues. All I ask is that we put our focus 100% back into this project and not be defeated over a civil war when a handshake is around the corner. /speech

-Mullick has been delayed and I will make announcements as soon as possible once he comes forward with our new wallet.
-We have a fantastic new website up at www.xbcplus.com that I think came out very nicely.
-Papabear has purchased us a nice premium forum from Vbulletin, this is a monthly fee service and we all owe him a huge thank you for it - We will have our official forums up ASAP which we will use to further organize our roles and projects outside of bitcointalk, once again we'll need moderators and users to get active over there so we can all stay up to date on everybodys work.
-We may have found a contract we have raised enough funds for (0.39 BTC currently) to can make us an apk wallet for android.
-I was just notified before that there will be bottle openers and mirrors branded with XBC being offered initially at one XBC per, waiting on confirmation and pictures to spread around.
-We need an API that will pull the live dollar value of XBC to share with future merchants, I believe this is something Wallenstein could slap together quickly for us.

Much more, oh and make sure you go and buy some coffee with your XBC, only one sale so far

As always.. More news to come, after the wallet we need to make it our business to keep things on schedule.. The wallet has been a rough fix but everything else we should be able to handle professionally, this coin is getting a lot of attention now - lets show them all we mean business.

There has been a lot of people wanting to know what is going on with the POS wallet that they have been promised, and rightfully so.
Here is the scoop, as most of you know the wallet is being worked on by Mullick of Cryptsy, which I am sure most of us that have spent time in the CryptoWorld will be able to identify easily. He is known for going through wallets for Cryptsy approval, checking for exploits, etc. With that said, any further ETA's would only prove as more bait for the trolls, and are not in the best interest of XBC as a whole. When the latest ETA was given, this was done with extreme confidence, and the only real explanation to give right now, is that LIFE happens. Mullick will not bail on XBC, and XBC will not bail on you. We have already come a long way since the inception of this coin, and have worked, some of us to the point of being physically ill, to make this successful for everyone involved. So the best ETA for now, is that there is no official ETA. The wallet remains in the hands of a highly respected individual, who is not to blame for any of this mind you!! I am not sure how many of you out there are part of running an exchange. It is not all rainbows and lucky charms. He is a busy individual, like a lot of us are around here.

Bottom line, I personally apologize on behalf of Team XBC for letting anyone down with ETA's that have not been reached.
Moving forward with this, I think it is fair to say that we all know the wallet is in good hands.
We apologize for the unexpected delays.
More information about release will be made available to the public as we receive it.

Thank you for supporting Team XBC.

24000 blocks found and no effing coins! what the fruggle stuggle man??

Dev needs to clarify things. what am I mining for if I'm not gonna get any coins?

sounds like a waste of time and energy? I told you XBC was a scam!  Roll Eyes scrrr

When mining, you are only mining transaction fees. So the lack of payouts is due to the lack people doing xbc transactions.

Try pointing your mining rigs at hasco.ws and select xbc as payout.
