Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

We should prefer to rebuild team, set goals and steady grow before adding on mintpal. If we are not added next week, they will add us the week after. There is no need to rush. Anyway I want thanks anyone who is voting, you are doing wonderful job. Azor has his thoughts, I think, set in the right place. It is great if we get an extra week to set the base infrastructure, do more video chatting between members, gather all the ideas and develop long term vision and ideas for real life changing innovation. That is where the scope is and what must be done. I invite everyone who has ideas to come discuss about them on #xbc IRC channel or PM them either to Azor or myself. What are we doing in cryptocurrencies anyway? Do we want to just leverage some cash for ourselves or do we want to actually use this new wonderful opportunity to use this similar to ".com boom" type opportunity to build a real community and real organization to actually develop something that helps talented individuals to make some real change? Even though I'm personally invested into XBC some bit, I think the latter is way more important. For those who understand the importance of having a long term scope (also in investing by the way), this is also a wonderful potential career opportunity. As in case you didn't notice, the new XBC webpage has a section to apply into being a member to the dev team. The next things important should definitely be gathering community together, see how you guys would love to see cryptos change the world, build the team, have some video chats etc. to really get to know each other and be more like a financial sports team in a sense. PS. As I've been gathering voting statistics of actual progress it is unlikely that we can hold back REDD for the weekend, but if we keep voting, at least the second place is secure and we get our needed extra week for setting up the infra and have some real development towards a solid long term vision. As odd as it sounds, XBC probably would be better of losing this week. The reason being, there really is little infrastructure behind the coin. The way to avoid catastrophic MP dumps is give a reason for people to hold... just going from no dev team, to temp dev team, and plopping the coin onto MP will most likely lead to a massive dump. You don't even get the advantage of pre-listing hype/pump beforehand (or if you did, it already occurred) due to uncertainty of when the coin will be listed. So if you lose out this week, it's really no biggie -- might as well give the dev team time to do something.
I'll place buy order for 5.7 BTC at 0.0001 and you morons dump all XBC coins in existence, OK? You can't even fill that order in full since only 56159.137028 XBC are mined.  |

I might agree with you if XBC had a giant lead on Redd and was a shoe-in for MP. Then we'd probably see a pre-listing pump, or mini-pump, this week and people could sell before the coin hits MP. After MP, the odds are people would just dump. As it is now, the coin may dip, but if the devs add some new stuff next week, and assuming the coin will then be #1 in voting with tons of room to spare, just perhaps that is when a mini-pump could occur. Of course it may not, perhaps it'll just sink... who knows... So I'm not sure what you are expecting really. The coin to get listed on MP, go sky high, just based on a temp dev team taking over the coin? With tons of people all looking to sell based on a MP pump? |

Redouble your efforts XBC community, not all is lost! Well, what I don't get is this ... Only reason to care if XBC gets added this week or next, is if you are looking for a pre or post MP pump. Sure it may sink a bit if it misses this week, but longterm it won't really matter. As for fundamentals and tech analysis, if everyone is honest here, the coin has been through several dev teams, two lead devs who scammed people, a coder who is owed money and I'm not even sure it has a lead dev at the moment. Its not like it's some super strong coin that will inevitably overcome the traditional MP dump on voted coins. Of course one could say the coin is currently so low in price that there isn't any room to dump anymore, which I guess was the point he was making. I simply meant an extra week's wait isn't the end of the world, and perhaps the devs can add something to the coin in the meantime. |

I think we want to vote the old fashioned way. We don't want to lose any votes because of automatic voting. We saw what happened to some of the other coins because of that. We have worked too to get where we are at to lose our spot now. Keep on voting!
Nah nothing will happen. Reddcoin been botting votes the whole time and they did nothing. Nope. No bots in reddCoin. Check the subreddit and you'll find out. Good luck! O_o No need to check your subreddit, which is full of BS anyway, I was in irc chat when you guys were scrambling around trying to hide the fact that you were caught using that script. Can anyone confirm staking works with the latest wallet (bitcoinplus-1.6.0-win32-setup.exe) on Win7 64-bit? I should be getting some blocks by now (3 days) but got none so far, wallet is unlocked and it is supposedly staking.  |
