Hello WhiteCoiners, I felt it was important today that I make a statement clarifying our contract with ChunkyPools. Some have expressed concerns about possible conflicts of interest on behalf of the foundation, and I'm glad they've been raised. I want to reiterate for everyone now my commitment to WhiteCoin having several healthy multipools, as mentioned in my blog post a few weeks back.I'd like to thank coinking and hashcows for the continuing support of WhiteCoin, and I'd like to reassure everyone that I have no intention of seeing our support for their operation wane. This contract with Chunky is about far more than just our own multipool, Chunky already operates 4 multipools with several other coin communities requesting the service. They also have a long standing standard community pool service. The WCF's contract with Chunky is about helping them expand their service to other coins as per its long standing strategy. In the short term, this also gives us the ability to give our most devoted members the opportunity to earn extra whitecoin doing what they already do best, while at the same time providing a revolutionary kind of price support in the marketplace. By using the project based leadership methods as outlined in the WhiteCoin paper, the chunky project will be insulated from our normal WCF operations. This will ensure there are two teams with their own priorities regarding the subject at hand, one will be responsible for promoting and helping to operate chunky, while our existing marketing team will continue to help support all WC multipools, with a renewed focus to coinking and hashcows. I hope this addresses any possible concerns the community might have, if there are any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Best regards, Chris Salsman Acting President The WhiteCoin Foundation

Get on board with the most revolutionary kind of price support, mine with chunkypools and help bring whitecoin to the moon. Not only will you be generating by support through your own payouts, but our staff will also be paid out in whitecoin, which means more buys on the market! As an update: The Chief Technology Officer of the WhiteCoin Foundation, Mindfox, was given a full tour by mculp, Chunky's President and CTO. Mindfox intends to get to work straight away to help us resume regular scheduled payouts. We're targeting for another payout today.

The W in the logo looks like an X, if it looked more like a W it would be better in my opinion what about this: That looks a lot better, and maybe the left side a little lower to make it look more WC instead of CWC? Would love to see it mixed in with the thunder logo too.

Glad to see the combined resources of both groups getting together to make the pool stronger. To be the pool we all would like it to be (and to deserve the name "whitecoinpool"), it needs improvement in several areas in order to attract both new hash and re-attract the WC faithful. - An update on the list of profitable Scrypt coins
- A true and current list of profitable x11 coins
- An attractive and functional front end
- A consistent and profitable payout schedule
I know none of this will come as "news", but these are a few of the items that have been repeatedly brought up....and are items that are keeping people away. I'm rooting for you guys, and for WhiteCoin, and am looking forward to the improvements so that we can all be proud of "WhiteCoinPool."

Hey everyone:
Some thoughts from a Whitecoin investor.
I've been purchasing WC ever since the crisis began and the price started crashing, because I fell in love with the story of the community effort that rallied together and worked together to successfully raise from the ashes a coin that had plenty reason to die - but for the community that rallied behind it. I still love that story even as WC sits at below 100 sats, and it is because of the continued effort and goodwill of the community that I continue to buy WC on a daily basis at what I believe to be a bargain price. Even if the coin falls to below 50 sats, I will consider it an even better bargain and continue buying. I hold most of my WC in my wallet, and for the past couple of weeks I've enjoyed watching it stake again and again.
I am completely unconcerned about the price bottoming out because I am into WC for the long term. In fact, I'm thrilled at the opportunity to continue to buy in to this community effort ... this fabulous story that resonates with me as an embodiment of the very same qualities that made me fall in love with cryptos in the first place, the idea that the people of the world can wrest control of our economies from the corporate conglomerate banking system that by all effects has plunged our world into perpetual war and underwritten the toxification of every aspect of our planet's eco-system - our air, water and food supply. Some may think this is a bit of a stretch, but forgive me for seeing in WC a microcosm of a much bigger drama being played out. WC is the only coin out there that I've seen embody this ... which is why as the price of WC falls, I've sold my other positions and am going all in. At the risk of waxing a bit too poetic, there really is something to believe in here.
It seems that with the price of WC so low and with WC, arguably, well-removed from the spotlight - along with a new logo on the horizon - the coin is, more than ever before, at the Reset stage. Therefore, I think now may be the perfect time to address something that I think is, at the very least, worth addressing. I bring this up because I want to be in for the long, long term. Cryptos, in general, I feel, are a long way from mainstream acceptance and use ... but when that day eventually arrives ... and I am confident that it will ... I hope WC is right there with the best of the coins.
What I'd like to address is the name: Whitecoin
For those outside of the crypto world, those who might be entering for the first time ... those who will probably not know about the blackcoin/whitecoin story and the story of the absentee dev, along with the resurrection of WC ... the name Whitecoin carries with it inescapable connotations of race. We can see examples of this every time someone throws in the phrase "white power" into the discussion, albeit tongue-in-cheek. Although I love the WC story and the community behind it, I have reservations suggesting WC to someone outside of the crypto communities ... newcomers to whom I'd give investment suggestions ... because even saying "Whitecoin" out loud sounds ... alienating ... disenfranchising.
I know that WC was never meant to harbor these subtleties, but I believe the fact remains that this undertone is inescapable ... and for a coin that I'd love to see rise to the top of mainstream acceptance, that's a pretty heavy barrier to break through. Not impossible, certainly ... but a heavy-laden barrier, nonetheless.
Additionally, WC deserves to break free from its association with Blackcoin.
I could very well be completely wrong about this and may be opening a can of worms that only adds additional difficulty at this time. If so, let this comment be buried and forgotten. If not, perhaps there is an easy solution. Perhaps a name change that incorporates the "W" might have support. Perhaps "W Coin". Or perhaps "Webcoin" (although there already exists a Webcoin that seems to have died in 2012).
Anyway, just some thoughts, for what they're worth.
I am pleased to provide you with my virgin post. Yes, I am so very noob, but have been trading coins for several months. As a critical investor and trader in this stuff, I always look to those rare opportunities to make a lot of wealth. I have held my White for a long time and continue to carry more. It's not the only coin, but it appears to have the qualities I look for, chiefly marketability. Which is the primary reason for my post. I think the color of white you are looking for currently is used by apple. You may also want to think about simple design and relief and emboss. Apple will be taking on virtual currencies and what better way to position your coin to have that look and feel. Just my thoughts. I know this may not apply to you directly, so only know I am using your thread to communicate from your topic. I think the community is doing fine work and hope it continues. -f

I think there's a real opportunity to tackle some of that negative white connotation here. Something really subtle, like turn the join of the W into clasped hands to signify peace or togetherness. Not accurate fingers, just some (or even one) short horizontal or oblique lines. Enough to have a story, and enough to leave it as it is, a good clean logo. I liked the metallic feel of the original, mind. Great finalists, well done all.

Hello again, Proof of Staking, yes it tooked about 10 days till it staked again but it works. Proof of Chunkypools.com WC Payout. I have got in sum 14 miners there including CPUminers on MUN+POT Sind a week i am trying X11 there, but i cant say what is more profitable. Perhaps there will be more X11 coins on Chunky. Greetings i just noticed that my previous screenshot from my wallet with label "chunky" wasnt a perfect proof - because i could label it anyway. But for a real proof i attached here a screeny from chunkypools.

Made some variation: #4 Potential winner give me some feedback, please give me some suggestion about the background Suggestion: left side a little shorter, cause the right side represents the C. I said it before and am wondering if I'm the only one that thinks that. Almost every coin doesn't have a background so that shouldn't be too complicated (was thinking about white gold but that doesn't work probably)

The W in the logo looks like an X, if it looked more like a W it would be better in my opinion what about this: You need to add emboss or relief. You need to put the cool looking metal background back. You need the apex of the W to be a point and not flat. You need to make simple and clean lines so it pops.

Thanks to the incredible talent and ongoing dedication of the WhiteCoin Community, we have raised over 300K WhiteCoin in the first voting round alone. How much will be raised for the future development of WhiteCoin in this final round? We have four very strong submissions, and we encourage you to campaign for your favourite choice. Use this thread to tell us what you think. Vote for your favourite, encourage others to do the same, and engage with the logo creators to help them further refine their submissions. The official live updating leaderboard can be found here: http://wc.oizopower.nl/vote/ See our new ANN for the final voting round: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=639491.0

this is not black coin also, keeping it without post effect candy, keep it simple for branding, you can play around with effects later its really easy to add metallic/whatever effects or do a real 3d render. how about some possible tweaks to logo to make it less O/E: or even less of an E I like the simple lines on the top one, but really need to get that W with the point in the center. Even in the metal, without it look weird. also, yellow lol, your same design, but everything with with hard this lines that will pop it out - you emboss or relief...I like original W that is being voted, but you are on it with the simple simple simple clean lines. It's getting there. We should have a vote down after he wins on cleaning up that winning design

I still think the winner should get a nice chunk of that 300k+ After all, the winner of the competition will have done more than just talk a lot and actually have something to show instead of just "full steam" and "we are doing things" like is usually plastered over this thread by this so called foundation. Why exactly should the foundation get all the money when others have also put in some hard work too? In fact why would a foundation actually constantly need money if they are also invested in this coin? I see many coins who have volunteers and none of them constantly ask for more funds to make promises that so far is just talk. So far the foundation has created 1 new wallet and has had how much WC thrown at it? What else besides promises has the WC foundation given so far?
