wow Prof. Andersen are you interested in this coin too? Don't tell me that you have a nVidia-miner in secret? hah. But yes, I'm absolutely interested: The CryptoNote coins are doing the most technically interesting things in all of cryptocurrency right now, both in general, and with their proof of work functions. I find both MRO and BBR a ton of fun because of this. Both CryptoNight and Wild Keccak are a lot of fun as experiments in balancing CPU/GPU/ASIC. Nice to hear it. So I will take a notice about this coin too. Btw could you share your secret how do you mine this coin right now? . If you worry that nVidia-folks will know about it you could send me a PM, and I promise to keep your secret forever. Thanks. I posted about it earlier - I was cloud mining in EC2 when the price/difficulty ratio was profitable. From watching the diff and the amount of hash power I was putting in to it, I'm pretty sure that there are at least two other people doing the same thing but at even larger scale than I was. I'm also mining it on my personal machines at home, but that's a pretty insignificant chunk. Solo only - the orphan rate is very low and the blocks found/hour is very close to what the math says it should be based upon the diff. Unfortunately, that's something that mostly works only when coins are very young and people haven't caught on. It worked longer for cryptonote because, I assume, people were still figuring out how to build/run the software, but it's pretty clearly done now -- the difficulty right now is averaging out to being nearly exactly the cost of mining on EC2, which suggests that the bulk of the hashing is still coming from cloud miners taking a risk or running when the short-term difficulty is profitable. I'd wager the big hash rate spike we just saw was someone launching instances when the price just popped up on Poloniex, for example (it wasn't me).

good to see that the dev is working on a gui - this project is somewhat to small for the expected utility.

Boolberry NewsJune 7, 2014Moving forward, we will post more updates so the community knows what has happened and what is going on behind the scenes. We will post an update at least once a week with news and development updates. Updates1. As you all know, there are working pools for Boolberry now. The most recent updates were verified on the test net and are working correctly on the main net. If you are a pool operator, please verify you have the updated code. Miners, start using the pools to get paid more often. The first post of this thread has the up-to-date pool list. Thanks to LucasJones, 33zer0w0lf and surfer43 for their hard work. 2. The Boolberry code has been reviewed and accepted by the CryptoNote team. Re: [BBR] Boolberry Postby Catherine_Erwin » Thu Jun 05, 2014 10:54 am
We have reviewed your code and are ready to announce Boolberry as a CryptoNote coin. We see your coin as an important experiment for the technology as you are introducing quite a number of new features. Moreover, your modification of the CryptoNight hash algo is also valuable.
Could you submit your logo, please? This is significant because Boolberry is the first coin with CryptoNote Technology to use a new hashing algorithm. 3. The current team consists of crypto_ziodberg on development and btc-mike for branding and marketing. If you would like to help out send a pm to btc-mike. In Progress1. We are working with a profession designer to make the logo. We understand the importance of good logo and wanted this done right. We are expecting the logo design process to take no more than a week. 2. A GUI wallet is the next coding project we will complete. The wallet will be qt-based for use on most operating systems. 3. We are working out a few bugs on the forum. Once we have it running properly, we will make an announcement.

Can anyone recommend one of the pools to mine on please?
I have 2 pc's at home with mid/high end quad core cpu's that I'd like to use.
Looking at the different pool stats they have either never found a block or haven't for a few hours. Unless the stats are wrong.

Wouldn't use http://79.135.200.108/ certainly at the moment, there is stated: Block Found: about 22 hours ago, yet none is showing in the Pool blocks list. Thanks, yes looks like a new pool hopefully they'll get some more miners.

I'm using simpleminer with .bat: simpleminer --pool-addr bbr.extremepool.org:5555 --login 1AxQp4KrZbETL4HHgh5PksNsdcUregZoSEsWvYWgUaMAMayq1ddWdFrQEg5DfUod4Ud6Sz2z6vQMAcM WRdLDTSmy2Conhvk --pass x And I'm getting this screen with very little cpu usage: Is this normal or can I change/add threads to use to .bat file?
