Moner(s)(j).

As this coin, Monero, doesn't have the word "coin" in it's name(A genius move for marketing i.e people won't think it's play money), I believe the word Moner would fit nicely.

On a side note, I despise all forms of money, but I respect those that seek to change the world.

I was hoping that Monero get traction after Bitcoin price jump. I was wrong. I think Monero need still a lot of time for development. We still can't see an official wallet for 9 months and userbase will not be expanded. Why do people buy Monero this time? We need to give them a reason.

Monerer will probably be used; by analogy with "bitcoiner".

You are right, they do more services to the network then assisting the TX obfuscating process.

This is far from clear. One actually needs a strong understanding of both the FinCEN regulations and the inner workings on how a Darkcoin masternode actually works. Of course anyone can apply to FinCEN for a specific ruling, presumably with a bona fide intent to actually run a Darkcoin masternode in the United States. The way I prefer to look at the masternode as an MSB question is that there is a significant regulatory risk present in Darkcoin that is not present in Monero.  The degree of this risk may take a fair amount of work and research to determine.

In French, "monero" sounds very close to a childish way to say "my hero". No one has issue with it.
The Chevrolet Nova sold very well in Spanish-speaking countries, despite meaning "doesn't work" (no va) in Spanish.
The Škoda brand of automotives has an excellent reputation in Slovenia, even though "škoda" means "shit" in Slovene.

What I want to say is that, given enough context, we humans completely forget what looks like a ridiculous meaning. I must admit I needed to teach myself linguistics to stop falling in these traps

Monero users can pick our own name. If we want to be like everyone else, Moneroer (only two Rs rather than three) would probably be used.
