No but if your password wasn't too long you can do a dictionary-attack or a brute-force attack to find the password.

It is definitely a good idea to combine small outputs into larger ones, otherwise it is impossible to ever make payments in larger amounts (the transactions will be too big). Now if you only ever make small payments then I guess keeping the original small outputs is fine. But for larger payments they won't work at all, or will be too large to allow mixing. As far as mixin count to use when doing that, I can't give a good answer, as I haven't looked at the issues that carefully. The tradeoff is how many of these small outputs you can combine in one go. If you can't combine enough, you may need to do multiple steps.

The size of each transaction is dependent only on its immediate sources, not prior transactions that fed into those. So if you have a zillion tiny outputs and combine them into a few larger ones, subsequent transactions are not affected at all by the previous tiny outputs, and will be quite small.

Thanks, I'll stick to these guidelines when I send transactions from now on.

We need a GUI wallet. Im having so many issues trying to get wallet working. I even tried that GUI wallet it doesn't even save my wallet. I sent some MRO but i don't have that wallet address anymore. It never saved...
I'm using Minergate. Software is great. Just wished there was a good gui wallet.

In windows I'm getting 11% lower hash rate with minerd compared to bitmonerod. I'll continue to solo mine, but if the difficulty double again with my 130 H/s I'll have to switch to pool mining. Is Amazon EC2 mining still profitable? It seems many are mining with Amazon EC2 plan, but now I can't afford to test it for more then 48 hours and maybe I won't find a block in 48 hours. What is the hash rate with Amazon EC2 32 cores?

For example the pools. And the GUI that is being worked on.

This helps us compare favourably to BCN in terms of advancing the cryptonote ecosystem.

QCN emission is slowed, so less coins are issued each day. As time goes on, it's more likely that MRO will increase in valuation comparatively (months to years), as MRO reward drops much more quickly.

Although the emissions curve was hotly debated in the beginning, I'm going to guess that it's what ends up making MRO the dominant cryptonote currency in the long term.

No you have to look at market cap as at least one factor, not just coin price. QCN mines 1/4 as many coins as MRO (for now, at some point the curves will cross). So it would have to be valued at 4x as much to be par. Think about it, if you have a coin where you only issue 0.1 coins per day, and assuming that coin had any kind of promise at all, the value per coin would be huge. The total market cap might not be any different though.
