Wow people really do expect coin developers to make them money but not make any themselves. An demand the developers do xyz really. How about make your own coin if you dont like this one. Go buy the next scam coin and then complain to bittrex that you lost and it was their fault for not checking the code for you. I think I will make the perfect group of coins for "investors" like these. First pump and dump coin followed by Suckercoin. I will vary between instamine or hidden premine. And you know what people will eat it up hoping they get out in time.

How about we give the SYS dev some time before we all panic and yell how he is screwing us. He is not hitting the sell.
what is the purpose of IPO/ICO then? i thought it's giving/showing support to dev (investors are doing favor to dev) what if nobody enters ipo? and price should be set so low that in any scenario it cannot get under, BUY SUPPORT is a must and sign of credibility. Don't tell me i'm wrong.

I think you do have it wrong. IPO is an acronym which represents Initial Public Offering. Companies use it to generate funds for the developers and often in an unsavory manner will overhype what they have, overinflate the opening price, then run like hell as soon as possible away from the whole thing leaving the holders high and dry.

I'm sure you've heard of Facebook. Their IPO was underwhelming and those early-birds saw the value of their holdings go down immediately.

Well, in the case of SYS, you got to buy product but not part of the company. Kinda like when I got my RX-8 a full 9 months before you all even heard about the very existence. But I didn't get to own Mazda, just a car before most anybody else.

You might want to spend a little more time studying and understanding if what you think about something you are interested in is truly factual or just you fooling yourself while ignoring what available information clearly would have provided you, if you had just looked it over FIRST.

Devs dont have BTCs, they cant do anything for now... And what if it is eaten? Weak hands will get out and the price will rebound. This isnt the first coin that gets dumped...

Edit: BTW its little more then 1 btc to 500 right now on both exchanges.

the wallet does not work after the first install. I see many people mentioning this. I have worked around it after research but...

very fundamental user experience error

People can spend years moaning about the imperfection of the world.

Can we move the syscoin beat down to another thread and keep the S/N of this thread higher?

It does not appear on the OP, as far as I can see. The thread is 305 pages long. Pretty easy to miss a needle in a hay stack so yes I did not see it.

So, because the probabilities end up leaning toward an unfavorable price this early in the existence of the coin - and for that, they owe you money?

You made the choice of whether to get in or stay out. The consequences of your decision belong to you. Sell out now (to me or any of the other nice guys here that will meet you on the exchange to conduct the transaction) if it makes you feel better. Maybe miss out if it explodes tomorrow or next week or next month. Or hold and wait - with the possibility that the value will be completely gone at any moment.

Choose. But don't put the responsibility for YOUR decision upon somebody else's shoulders. Nobody owes you anything except you owe it to YOU to have enough self-respect to make adult decisions and pay adult consequences or benefit from adult rewards accordingly. Don't make decisions immaturely and expect grownup strangers to bail you out.

My SYS are worth the same as yours. I multiplied mine, though. I hope you did the same.

I think you do have it wrong. IPO is an acronym which represents Initial Public Offering. ok but i dont have to be genius to see this is going wrong, and if dev team don't start to buy back at ipo price, there will be panic soon and price will hit 100, and call this fud as you wish

Getting a wallet error with ver 1.2.

MinGW Runtime Assertion

Program:c:\xxx\xxx\Syscoin-QT.exe

File: src\main.cpp, Line 4850

Expression: "mempool transaction missing input" ==0

A / R / F

Wipe out everything in the data folder except wallet.dat and syscoin.conf, re-run the exe (out of the zip file), let it sync, then after a while it either freezes or gives the above error.

There have to be people out there that have faith in this coin, have you seen the NW Hashrate.  If this coin was such a POS that the FUD people says why are so many people mining it?

situation is quite simple:

a) Sys is not worth 1500 btc market cap at current state and the selling pressure is huge -> buywall at 465 will melt
b) Devs cant do anything price wise since they dont have the btc yet (and noone knows if they ever get them or will use them to stabelize price... why would they...)
c) Moolah still has the btc and noone knows who will get them... maybe they do 50:50 with devs? - who knows - from my point of view there has never been
a true valid contract (legal wise) espeically since everybody got what they paid for - the coins

=> dump now and buy back later if you really like the coin - just my simple thoughts on this

Prediction: price will continue to fall, devs will still be blinded by their innovations, forgetting about investors, price will reach 200 satoshi and maybe then they will realise that lack of buy walls (especially with this sloppy launch) was huge mistake. But building buy walls when we reach 200 satoshi levels might be too late (heck, buy wall below ICO price is a buy wall built too late). I am glad that i skipped ICO. Those guys might know a thing or two about developing a coin but certainly they are not aware of behind the scenes techniques that are being used by successful coins. Until they hire someone who knows how to support the price this is going down the drains despite all the efforts. Most people jumped in ICO phase = most people are against you now. Sorry, I hope that you succeed but it won't happen by adding new features to the coin. The lower we go, the bigger the panic sell.

P.S. still 27btc buywall up - still chance to get out at what you paid for in early IPO and not much below normal IPO afterwards
