What has been taking place for the past couple of days is one of the many reasons cryptocurrency as a whole is having a hard time to make a dent in the financial world. We are flat out too busy attacking each other, my coin is bigger than yours etc.
Nothing wrong with reaching out to another developer and bridge the gap between communities, especially due to the open source nature of development in the first place.
For Cryptocurrency to move the mass, we need to respect other.. period. I make a point of not to trash another coin, because I respect the hard work they put in their products. I can't do what they do.
I gave the VRC devs my support because I believe in what they are trying to accomplish.
keep it civil ~
Who's trashing who's coin here? Its the last 50 or so pages probably have had some attacks from people involved in other coins. But honestly, bringing up names and putting them down won't help VRC any. You have to understand many people in crypto hate VeriCoin right now, because think of it like this. Right now you have only so much cash in the crypto system (bread) The money is not flowing into the system like it was 6-8 months ago, so you have people trying to get that money to flow back to there own coins. When they lack to innovate, they must take down another coins value in hopes of bringing up there own. When you equate the money in that situation to bread, and starving people it all makes sense. If there is only so much food to go around, people who get hungry do desperate things. Do not hate them for being upset. They are fearing and rightfully so. Every alt up to the mighty Litecoin has been shaken recently. Now we ask ourselves. Did this money flow out of crypto? If so, it will not come back. Or, perhaps is it being prepared for a big re-allocation? We all can make up our own mind what the next coin will be to make an impact on financial / normal people media. It was Bitcoin, the first. Then Litecoin, the alternative. Then it was Dogecoin, the popular sensation. Ask yourself, whats the next coin to impact the real world markets? Is it a coin focused on making it useful to everyday people? In my opinion yes. So you ask yourself if your of that belief. What crypto shows the vision, has the team, and is leading that category? Its easy folks. Don't panic to fudsters on the hunt for your coins. Think about society and what it will take for crypto to impact yours. Is it a mining innovation that will excite your neighbor to try out crypto? I don't think so. But tell that same person about how they can use a mobile phone to pay for anything in the world with little to no transaction fees, anytime of the day or night. That sparks more interest. But the smart people get my point. I am back to the dungeon to develop more VeriCoin properties.

Max pump was in BCX eg... he wrote "BCX pump time" and in one hour price jumped 11x... i made such Eyes Oo. Btw BCX had 5m premined so pump ended in hour - true story.
I don't like how Max keeps pumping Maxcoin as a sound investment, eons after it has been dumped. I stopped following his Twitter feed a few days ago because of the #maxcoin promotions. Beyond his self serving pumps, Max is a smart guy and an entertaining host & guest.

It doesn't make too much sense to have a Proof-of-Stake coin added to a site that's dedicated to Cryptocurrency mining profitability. Yes, VeriCoin can be mined indirectly via the VeriPool, but the profitability of the VeriPool depends upon the difficulty of the undisclosed coin that it mines at any given moment combined with how well the OBA does when it sells those coins and ultimately buys VRC (which could happen at a much later time). That's not something that can readily fit into a chart like the one on CoinWarz.

Like I said, it takes veri little time. We are close to overtaking BC with 102 votes now. Vote here: http://www.coinwarz.com/voting[Hey, it beats watching the charts.]

To add to the largest amount being staked today by minters at 16-18 million. You also have a large increase in wallets to the biggest amount at over 5,000 now.
Looks like VRC is starting to get some nice distribution.

Yet Another Staking Question: Does the network staking number only include the coins marked "Staked"? If so, there are millions of coins sitting in wallets trying to be staked, but aren't yet. I have a dedicated wallet jut for staking and I have never seen more than 20% of them "Staked" at any time. Matter of fact, the number of my "Staked" coins went down over night... curious.

Looks like the guy who bought up the cheap VRC this morning took a dump on XC while he was at it.
This is why people hate VRC. They see money flowing from 1 coin to another. At the end of the day VeriCoin will continue to take more share from the entire market as they grow the vision.
What they don't realize is VRC is going for new customers, trying to bring all of crypto up. Other coins should embrace what VRC is doing. Pushing the envelope and making all crypto move towards a more useful, practical nature. Something that has been a downfall of crypto for so long.
Up to this point most coins try to preserve longterm wealth. Look at Ron Paul Coin, LOL that even had a good run due to people thinking just the name would hold its value.
A goal has never been to create a distribution platform to seek mass adoption. Bitcoin has always been a underground thing for whackos to hoard if you ask most people.
VeriCoin will be the first coin to engage the masses audience with reasonable, beneficial services for those who need it most. Taking out the need for leveraged banks which can sometimes fail and require the whole worlds attention to "bail out".
This is a big step for crypto in general. You can see something has shook every alt coin on the market in recent weeks and there is some speculation that money is finding a home in VeriCoin.
I personally believe people realize crypto is going to take a giant leap forward thanks to the push from VeriCoin developers into a large scale market sooner than many expected. When the day comes that a coin would be a true compliment to Bitcoin. I felt it would be something like this. I didn't know it would be "VeriCoin". People need this in everday life, and everyday life needs a crypto thats easy and not a hassle to obtain, and has to be simple to spend.
Checkmate.
