Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Those are payouts from the VeriPool. If you compare your transactions to mine, you'll see that we're receiving coins from the same blocks:

God bless the ruler of the 500k coins wish I was smart enough to  come up with a gimmick to get that many coins.

The 500K+ coins belong to the community.  James donated them back so there's no gimmick there.

So if you gave X amount and in two weeks need them because of a financial emergency can you get them back??

I wouldn't want them back even if I had the mafia threatening to break my legs over paying them.

Those coins were a gift to James for his becoming involved here.  I thought that VRC was a diamond in the rough before he came along but now I think it even more so that he's involved.  Like anything that's worthwhile though, it'll take time.  I knew that from the beginning and should have kept that in mind when I was buying this weekend.

But what I'm saying is that them coins are gone for promise and hope.  If something real happens you don't have them coins no more.

The coins weren't donated, they were committed to an escrow account that will pay 10,000 satoshi per VRC sent, once the VRC price reaches 50k satoshi. They are still in that escrow (managed by Doug), and won't be touched until the community determines the fate of the 80% (non-escrowed) coins.

Thanks for clarifying that, Patrick.  I must have misunderstood Doug's post.

Regarding escrow funds and going forward:

They are safe in a cold wallet and the coins no longer need to be sold at 10k prices.  James donated them back to the community, and per his request, that we whole heartily agree with, no action will be taken with the coins without a community vote to decide.
Track the escrow here: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/vrc/address.dws?VECuyuNjLDh437hJfABSxV1817D982S4H6.htm

Very quiet here. It seems lot of people burned during the weekend pump falling to jl777's promises, hype and nonsense.

You can always count on my unconditional support.

Apart from that, the long term prospects of VRC are very good, not because of jl777, despite of jl777.

Hi,

I just compiled the wallet on the Raspberry Pi an wanted to share the binary, because compilation on the pi takes quite long. Wallet runs fine and the Pi is a perfect staking machine with just 3,5W power consumption.

Wallet version : v1.3.4.0-g32a928e (latest from Github)

Thanks a lot, doc12! Which distro did you compile on? Which dependencies are needed to run this?

It's great to see the community rally together over the weekend and show the crypto world that the vericoin community is still very much alive and well.

At first I was very concerned with the way the whole SuperNET project unfolded; it seemed there was a forced ticking time clock for the community to rally together, donate a large sum of money, to a project few of us understood - being managed by somebody that few of us knew. So like many of us, I spend almost the entire weekend online trying to figure out what was going on, what it meant for vericoin and who this jl777 aka "James" person was/is.

Well after doing as much homework as I could - I now feel much more comfortable about the situation we are in. I will stand by my opinion that this jl777 character is a very respected programmer. He has done some amazing things for the entire crypto currency community and continues to work hard to further advance the technology. He has also been rewarded for his hard efforts and I'm sure will continue to benefit from the advancements he makes. His track record is semi public and traceable - so if anyone else wants to get a better understanding to who this "James" fellow is - you too can go and read all his postings/blogs/code.

I also wouldn't say this is 100% locked and loaded. We are 6 months out from anything moving forward, which we would all agree in the crpyto world feel like an eternity. Having this future promise of VRC to join the SuperNET project to me reminds me unfortunately of the very (now comical) LTC to GOX bit. The point? Well nothing is guaranteed. Things can change, opinions can change. Technology can change. So to say this is 100% certain and we should all take out a second mortgage is a bit premature.

What I will say thought to wrap up my final thought is that I feel this integration to the SuperNET project and having "James" willing to include vericoin within the project is excellent news. He has a proven track record of success. More than almost anyone in the crypto world. Again, this doesn't guarantee success - nothing is promised. But I have a sneaky suspicion that those who wait around will not regret that decision

tldr; i think having vericoin as part of the SuperNET project will add a significant amount of value as we get closer to this project unfolding.
