WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE X11 CODE ON GITHUB HAS BUGS!!!!!!!!!! THE RPC AND P2P PORTS ARE SET THE SAME SO ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO BUILD FROM SCRATCH AND HAVE A WORKING CLIENT. THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST BASIC CONCEPTS IN BITCOIN. WHOEVER WOULD SET THESE PORTS THE SAME IS COMPLETELY IDIOTIC. ITS AMATEUR HOUR AT XC COIN. I WOULD SHORT THIS THING AND SELL IT UNTIL IT HITS ZERO. WHO KNOWS IF THE CLIENTS YOU ARE RUNNING ARE EVEN THE SAME AS THE SOURCE? ?? TOTALLY INSECURE TO RUN THIS!!!!!! I used it to build my Linux bin and it's fine ... So just check your system please Thanks ok, if thats true, tell me what port numbers are listed in init.h and bitcoinrpc? actaully, why don't you output the ./x11coind --help and paste it here, then you'll see the problem.

So if the ports are the same it simply means that it wouldn't be able to work with Bitcoin daemon simultaneously which doesn't appear to be catastrophic.

This is like the light at the end of the tunnell. We can only hope for a slow recovery over the typical pump and dump. This is one coin I do not mind holding on to for the long term.
The last thing this coin needs is more panic sellers, pretty soon you will be the only one left to buy and regardless of what it offers, those who have lost so much or have watched others fall wont want to touch it.
I'm sorry? Do you contradict yourself? Dont really see your reasoning here, and feel your idea of the word is misunderstood. I am excited to hold what I have for a boost in the long term, but why would I want people to panic sell this into oblivion where it has no chance to recover regardless of innovation and release. I will not buy more, the price is low for what it is but the risk is too high from a investment standpoint.

No, you don't understand. The P2P port and RPC ports are both set the same. This makes the binary built from source impossible to use. This is concerning because the windows/mac/linux binaries that everyone is using are NOT the same as the ones built from source. Who knows if the official binaries contain malware unless we can build from source? And I've already proved theres a bug in the source. Amateur hour here. I can't believe nobody spotted this yet. I suppose real auditors and devs stay away from the altcoin section of this forum.

Thanks for clarification, the idea itself is pretty contradictory, though it's clear when explained in more details.

XC on the rise currently on Mintpal. Remove your sell orders, let it rise! Be calm. There is someone with 18 BTC trying to push the price up, doing a good job so far.

Too lazy to get 1.55 so not going to test it. However I haven't seen people reporting problems with that. Also config must be enough to correct that.

Check the port numbers on the init file and bitcoinrpc file on github. Hell, even look at the --help output. they have the ports wrong there too.

Testnet uses the same port for rpc and http but mainnet is fine. Nevertheless... it should be corrected.
