XChat is a potential bombshell and since it has already been under development with XCurrency and was already theoretically 100% owned by Xcurrency owners it is a special case. I think XCurrency owners should get a very high percentage of ownership in XChat and then a smaller percentage in XC inc. Something like 80% and 10% would make sense to me.

That is not true. SDC is not officially "in" until publicly stated otherwise by their dev team and community which is not the case right now i'm afraid
#

Did you just create that rule? It's not your call.

SDC are in. In fact, we've been in communication with them the most. We were chatting on Skype with Rynomster and others during the announcement.

Now drop this, for heaven's sake!

Uh oh look like this guy is after you guys tail now. He can spend days/nights talking non-stop
He's something. Just warn you.

REV2 was released over a month ago and there is still no linux/mac client.
is this coin a windows only coin or will there ever be a release of the linux/mac client?

it sucks to get the answer nearly two weeks ago that the client for linux will be released in a few days
but except this empty promise nothing happend.

1. Congrats to Dan and the XC team for putting all the resources together to launch the concept of The Blocknet.
2. Congrats to the contributing devs from other altcoins for recognizing a sensible collaboration when they see one.
3. And a big thanks to the people on this thread asking the tough questions.

Hopefully The Blocknet won't suck.
I'm off to set up my Xmixer.

Haven't you asked about this many times in the past and been answered?

My opinion is, that the price is correlated to a few things like:

Rev2 was released weeks ago and we still don't have a linux and mac client, this is contra productive to the availability and useability of the coin.
I agree that a mobile wallet for android/iphone is also important but no client except a windows client for a closed source coin is a no go.
Even the tor-Stick is useless as it doesn't provide the latest version of the client (as it's also linux).

I think all operating systems should receive a client at the same time, as this is very important for the mass adoption of the coin.
It even shows that we care about every user. A new release should also provide an updated tor stick.

I think at least Rev 2.5 and Rev3 should be released after a working client exists for all major operating systems.

I, for one, can't use my coins and parked them in an exchange as i only use linux.
The current situation forces me to buy a windows license and even worse install this crappy OS just to receive and send coins.

That would only be a big deal if people are unaware that XC is still in development and hasn't launched publicly.

We're sorry for the delay, but it's just not feasible to release versions on every platform without testing the code first - which is what's been happening of late with the windows build.

In contrast, Rev 3's code will be fully ready for the public and available on all platforms on launch day.

It was not an empty promise, there were reasons why it was delayed, however I'll provide a link shortly for the linux test client...

How are the collective services of the blocknet going to be made accessible to the average user?

Theoretically...
If I have a XC in my wallet but I would like to use the VPN service of utilitycoin how might I go about doing that?
Will this require an automatic conversion of my XC to UTIL in order for the UTIL wallets to collect their fee?
Will the available blocknet services be visible from within any of the XBridge enabled wallets via some kind of dynamic UI?
If a new coin joins the blocknet while my wallet is running, will those services be made immediately available?

Is this still in a concept stage? Has technical design begun? Or actual code development?

Keep up the good work.  Smiley

and the same story like everytime : mini pump on news and then dump again.. i cant imagine, how we will go very high in price like everyone are saying, but i still believe   Angry hope to see some price movement till new years (AND OF COURSE REV3 , BECAUSE IT WAS PROMISED TO REALEASE IN AUTUMN 2014)

what will sell xc is its unrivaled privacy function and the posibility for xc holders to capitalise on it given they own enough to host a mixer. the blocknet will make it possible to collect those fees from every user that holds a coin that supports the XBridge. so way more than before blocknet. the 1k XC club will make alot of money.
incorporating the XBridge into the wallet should be a service everybody should request from their coin of choice. its voluntary to use but makes ones life much easier.

this is the biggest revolution since the blockchain itself. the logical next step.

edit: but i'm still with you , rev3 should come soon now. would be smart of the team to shoot out some more XC related stuff in short just to make that statement. Synechist hope you read this. this is phsychology 101. in case you missed we got an Xchat update yesterday too.

On the one hand I get excited hearing about the teams lofty ambitions, on the other hand all I want is a functional XCurrency wallet for my Mac. It seems to me the team is putting the cart before the horse. Why not get XCurrency functioning and adopted before focusing on ITO's, the Blocknet, ad hoc mesh networks, etc...?

It feels like the focus on XCurrency is dwindling and the team is centered on creating a private corporation so they can sell of their tech. As I understand it, XChat is part of XCurrency, that's why I bought more XC. Now I hear the possibilty of selling that technology in the future!?!?

It has also been said that XC Inc's purpose is to create tech that will work on the XCurrency platform, but now we have Blocknet and XBridge and so many other buzzwords and concepts that it's difficult to keep track of them all.

Dan says XCurrency is his baby, Steve Jobs said Lisa was his- we all know how that turned out. And Arlyn, you say we just increased our user base 10 fold, if we had the price would be reflecting that right now...it doesn't.

Just need to vent a little...maybe you all know exactly what you're doing. Unfortunately several of your investors don't and are confused about the future of XC. I hope to see several XCurrency releases in the near future including mobile, Mac, and linux wallets. Huh

Did you read my response to your post earlier?

The Blocknet does not dilute XC's resources. It grows them massively. So we can launch the Blocknet and carry on developing XC too.

In fact, it's best to do things in this order, because the Blocknet is completely awesome for securing a userbase for XC's tech.

Also read Hoertest's posts. He really gets it.

How about for every 100 XC you hold you get 1 share of the Blocknet?

That is of course a relative number.

Is there any difference from SuperNET?

In summary, the Intel Management Engine and its applications are a backdoor with total access to and control over the rest of the PC. The ME is a threat to freedom, security, and privacy, and the libreboot project strongly recommends avoiding it entirely. Since recent versions of it can’t be removed, this means avoiding all recent generations of Intel hardware. details https://libreboot.org/faq.html#intelme --- https://tehnoetic.com/laptops --- https://store.vikings.net/x200-ryf-certfied

Oh snap!

The Internet of Coins / Hybrid Assets methods enable the transaction of value across ledger-based (blockchain) systems, as well as ledgerless systems. So in essence it goes much further than an Internet of Blockchains. However, XBridge also looks interesting. Perhaps they can be used in sync.

Can you elaborate further on how XC's resources will grow with the Blocknet? What are the resources in this instance? I would have thought that XC's resources (Dan and co's time) will be partly spent developing the Blocknet when they would otherwise be developing XC, hence slowing down its rate of development.
