Is the R9 Fury X currently the best mining card available for AMD? Though price wise, would be better to get 2 290X or 2 390X correct?(or 295x2 if they still sold them)
If you can get second hand 7950/7970/280/280x these would be the best price wise. Otherwise, if you can afford, go with AMD Nano. Stay away from Hawaii (290x, 390x) due to high power consumption and overheating issues. Concerning overheating and power consumption - absolute truth, just forget about it. I have bought 4 of them and it was a foolish waste of money, it would be much more profitable to buy a few 280X second hand.

CRYPTOMINING BLOG-- Visit "cryptomining-blog.com" . They have today (5 JAN 2016) posted a fresh comparison hash rate chart. They have many older versions if you search the site. --scryptr Thank you, if only they had some articles on my r9 380! Oh well heh.

Man I really need to pull my finger out on my 7990. It's only doing 45... One core seems wound back for some reason.

guys the 7990 is just two 7970, so double the speed and almost double power usage. and much more than double cost to purchase.

Which is the power - consumption with 7990 on ETH It is about the double of 7970. For 50 MH/s, the power consumption is about 180W X2 = 360W. You can have up to 4 7990 in a system.

For Eth, I found no difference between 14.6, 14.7, 15.x catalyst drivers. Do you find any difference? If any, what is the difference?
Sorry, I didn't make in-depth tests comparing different latest drivers. It was recommended somewhere for ethminer-opencl-0.9.41 and for kachur optimized sgminer too. I installed them and was satisfied with results.
