Check the block explorer? about 616 in last 24 hrs
there should have been 640 according to your specs.. why wasn't there 640 blocks? Great question... now I am curious to know why. Do u really care how much blocks there? I sold my quatloo's ages ago, i'd rather buy XBC again than jump in this pit again. Who knows, what was the problem in transmitting the brain capacity from old generation to modern breed and dev's households

Hey so this coin is being voted on in a big altcoin thread comparing POD rated coins. You guys might want to pitch into the vote and show people why this coin deserves attention. Imho this is one of the best coins and it flies under the radar of most.. Vote for QTL as best Proof of Developer coin HERE!

No offence, but I could 4/5 POD with a fake identity, and I could gather the resources required in less than a week.

Well, not trying to unFUD or anything, but the Trader is kind of a big deal, which does make the coin a big deal, in more ways than one. As for POD, that means next to nothing to many of us, but it is fairly hard to find a Dev as available and responsive as Markus is.
If you find nothing remarkable about Quatloo, then I would suggest moving on and refraining from wasting a remark when you are able!

Don't get me wrong, the trader is remarkable, not questioning that, the coin itself is like many others, just an observation. I am also not questioning the dev, simply pointing out that from a technical point of view, the coin could do with a bit more work. Scrypt is ASIC raped, it is a litecoin clone, the value of the coin is essentially pegged to the value of the trader, shouldn't the community want people to hold the coins for more then just the ability to use the trader? I am just proposing my view of the coin, as an "outsider" I guess. I hold a small amount, which I bought, to try the trader. Other then that, I see no reason to buy more, other then to make a quick profit when the trader has new features released, and was just wondering if anyone can elaborate on a better reason to buy and hold this coin. If anyone plans on giving me an answer such as the previous person, stating facts I already know and that are painfully easy to see, and just tell me to essentially "move on" from the coin if I don't like it, instead of providing a constructive answer with real value, please don't respond to me. I like the things that are going on here, I just want enough reason to buy a larger amount then is required for the trader, as my "buy more" switches' threshold has not quite been hit yet, only due to the fact that the coin at the core of all of this seems plain.

I would suggest if you want serious replies, post serious questions. Your comment read like someone who wanted to complain and had not done any research. This forum has been mostly FUD free and we like it that way since this one is a good idea with a serious Developer.
To answer your question though, Markus has already said that the price of the coin will be adjusted to allow the trader to be priced reasonably. If you hold enough to use the Trader and the required amount is reduced, you get to sell. If the Trader is very successful, you may not want to sell. That much is obvious. The amount of value, like you stated, will be tied directly to how well the Trader works and how much people really want it. Personally, I am hoping the Trader gets good enough that I don't want to sell the coin needed to use it.
If the Trader does that well though, you will want more so that you can take that profit and still use the Trader. If three- four hundred people really want it for 10k coins or whatever it is set at, then the supply will dry up quick, which will launch the price of he coin. Also, I can envision Markus getting this to a very high level of functionality and should be able to get the auto features to a place where you should definitely be able to make money with them. And, its a better bet since Markus has shown that he wants input to make the features better with time. There are very few coins out there that bring practical value for themselves as readily as this one. A lot of the theoretical stuff is great that other are trying, but practical, here, now is a pretty good bet.
The coin itself is just a coin. Designed to be minable, speculated on, and have the supply shorted by the holding for the Trader. If you are looking for "coin" features, this one is not for you. As for ASICS, it still mines at a constant rate, so the big guns will get coins and us little ones will not, but that is just the way it is these days. At least there will be some coin supply if the Trader goes super well. The only real feature I want in this coin is value.
As for Markus, he is available and responsive and keeps everyone informed. Has been since the very beginning. I would take that over any POD out there. Anyone here can make up stuff for a POD, but posting and communicating constantly is pretty hard to beat.
If that is not enough, then happy hunting elsewhere. Moving on was no insult, just meant there are many more opportunities out there, no need to linger on one if you are not sold on the idea. Also, snarky comments that are answered by earlier posts will almost always be perceived as FUD, so don't be surprised when you get snarky sounding answers. I don't know if you intended your comments to be constructive criticism or not, but you did not come across that way to me, sorry.

Suprnova is a great pool. Chickenstrips got massively ddosed 2 days ago, he says pools will be back up today, I assume with more protection. Seems like the Chinese have gotten ruthless with ddosing pools and exchanges the last few days. If anyone can shed some light on this, it would be appreciated.

I figured they wouldn't just shut down with no notice. Hopefully they get everything back up and running.

this is one screwed up coin - the darkwave gravity shit is a waste - no blocks for 25 minutes then all of a sudden 15 blocks in 3 minutes - you guys should have used KGW which is a proven winner.
My test pool had 25% of the network hash for 3 hours and got 8% of the blocks - forget quatloo.

You do know that this coin is usually at the top of coinwarz and whatmine, so multi pools jump off and on it all the time, and diff jumps from 100 to 400 all the time, so maybe that is what you are seeing, don't blame the DarkWaveGravity.

that's because the algorithms that coinwarz and whatmine use are both flawed and the reason diff jumps all over the place is exactly because of dark gravity wave - DUH. Their estimates and reality could not be farther apart. do yourrself a favor get rid of DGW and use KGW - DGW is just as screwed up at Digishield.

Just a quick PSA: I have switched my merged mining pool from Rubycoin (hit PoS block 125,000) to Quatloo! After much thought and deliberation on the pool IRC chan #bemining, cactusbob convinced me to go with QTL. I think we made the right choice. If you could do me a solid, check it out. If you have any questions, visit the IRC, PM me, or email me. Link is in my signature.
