Is profit switching supposed to ignore user-defined coins? It always calculates them as $0.00 even though they are the most profitable on the coins tab for the same profit profile Sad

Does right click miner -> View Details show that coin is also on top of the Profit switching tab?

Which coin is that, do you have pools that support the user defined coin setup?

no, it's calculated to 0.00 for the details which is why it's not working.
yes, there are valid pools for it added to the pool group used by the profit miner for profit switching.
and obviously the profit profile has a hash rate and the algo enabled or it wouldn't be on the coins tab for that profile.

I have the same problem with Aeon where the json from whattomine works...but somehow the conversion rate goes whacky, fiddling with profit factor but it's not a simple GHs / MHs conversion but something like 3000000 times to make it closer to what it should be....in the end i gave up since my rigs are mostly nvidia and old cpu, cryptonight isn't their strong points ;p

if your issue is similarly related and the coin is something you really want to mine, maybe ask Patrike if he can look into it.

it's for intensecoin and shield. I just set up manual miners for them but it's annoying i have to buy a '20 miner license' to mine on 6 rigs because each one needs a stack of manual miners since there's no way to get the profit miner to lock onto a certain coin temporarily or any way to switch coins with a single click unless you have a bunch of different miners set up in advance.

I'm just getting into the profit switching stuff and have a question:  is it possible to configure AM to use the BTC payout option on zpool for all coins except for one or two where I would set it to pay out in that coin instead of BTC?  There are one or two coins I want to get paid in but the rest I just want to get paid in BTC.  Based on what I've seen so far in the AM options screens I think it's all or nothing, right?

And another profit switching question:  Why are some algos not available to benchmark for my AMD miner softwares?  For example Tribus is not available even though it is selected as an available algo in the Coins-Algorithms options.  Tribus IS available for Nvidia benchmarking.  sgminer supports Tribus AFAIK so why isn't it available to benchmark?

go into online services, select the algorithm you want to mine without autoexchange to BTC, Edit and at the command line parameters, input the parameters for username (wallet address) and -p C=(whatever coin you are to be paid in to that address as per instructions on zpool), in theory that'll do...I never bother since the only guaranteed payouts are BTC.

That's because by default, Tribus is disabled for sgminer, Options -> Managed Software, select sgminer which you want tribus to run on, and change that to enabled, also change User defined command line argument to match the algo switch parameter

I believe both IntenseCoin and Shield aren't available on WhatToMine/Coinwarz, in that case, you have to manually edit coin's properties, so Algorithm for assigning which software will run the algo on your rigs, Difficulty, Block reward, and Value in BTC or USD...once you put that in it should show properly, except these value will change every so often and up to you whether you want to keep manually enter the values until there's available API where AM can pull the numbers automatically.

as for manual override on profit miners, there's a lot of micro-management and I think you could've used the templates feature to switch instead of consuming licenses...afterall, you kind of have to manual switch the miner or the template and ended up the same.

I think you can do a dirty hack if you want to switch or lock in coins with a single click is to just manually buff your hashrate in the profit profiles / coin profit factor, that's like manually switching templates anyway...except of course, with the template, you can set them up in the Rules for a bit of semi-auto switch.

Never tried them all, so kind of for you to experiment.

hello, when we see PHI1612 algo support ? )
You can easily add any algo by yourself.

I can set up new coin but I cannot automatic update diff if I cannot choose right algo (phi1612 in this case)

Did you create a new algo named PHI1612 under Options -> Algorithms ?
if not, just add one, then if you are adding for saying, Luxcoin from WhatToMine, put this under Options -> Statistics -> Additional Json URL's:
https://whattomine.com/coins/212-lux-phi1612.json

if all that's done and you don't see coin pop up, try exit AM and restart, sometimes new algo/coins don't seem to register until that happens.

Hi All

Currently trying to troubleshoot my rig which has become unstable (windows just locking), I noticed in the AM logs this error, whilst I doubt its causing my problems any pointers as to the issue?

Still having problem with GPU and CPU miners restarting regularly (every 2.5 mins) after almost a week of running smoothly. It only lasted until I had to restart my system, and now all miners are back to restarting at 2.5mins intervals like clock work.. I have a GPU and CPU miner, even if I start them one or two minutes apart, they would both restart at the same time then keep restarting at the same time every 2.5mins. This happens with all miner software / algorithms that I can run from Awesome Miner.

Below is part of the log between three start/stop instances for the CPU miner this time. around 2mins 30secs apart. The gpu miner has the same characteristics.

With all these restarts I can only speculate that I am losing some efficiency for work being done but not submitted in time before the restart and the time it takes for the miner to go back to mining.

Its not a big issue for me as I am very happy with the results: avg mining net profit after power costs $6-8 per day.
Just thought of sharing my experience hoping it helps the developers in some way.

My hardware (old gaming rig):
2 x GTX 980 (not overclocked)
16 GB RAM
Core i7-3960X (not overclocked)
Windows 10 pro - clean install
AwesomeMiner v4.3.2

Did you benchmark your setup? A properly configured 1080ti, using ccminer-alexis should get 1000MH on Skein. As of right now, thats between $11-13/day. That assumes your card is overclocked properly, and you're using alexis vs regular ccminer (huge difference). Skein isn't the most profitable currently.
Mining is not simple, and Awesome Miner is not for amateurs, its a pro level tool for those who want to get the most out of multiple miners, across multiple pools. If you want something simple, and you only have a single rig, just install Nicehash and be done with it.

Its official, this app is shit. I've switched the statistics around endlessly to get the "perfect" daily estimate ratio, and it doesnt even get CLOSE to the so said daily estimates I'm suppose to make. Whoever made up these stats when it came to profit switching need to get shot in the face. As per example Skein is suppose to give me $10 for 1080ti on Zpool.. Guess what, IT DOESNT EVEN COME CLOSE!!!

Made less than a dollar in 5 hours, WTF?!?!? What a hunk of shit. Even when mining with coin Specified it still mines whatever the fuck it wants so why even have the option?!

This is not fair if there's a misconfiguration issue on your end. I do not own a 1080Ti and can't say for the hashrate, but you are ranting without giving much information on your end, no need for rude language, AM does not mine for you and it does not lie to you if it's been fed with misinformation in the first place.

According to early test of skein hashrate with 1080Ti, it does approx 600MH/s without oc, what is your hashrate and what is pool's reported hashrate? if you plug in into say...WhatToMine, 600 MH/s gives you shy of $7 if you are mining DGB-Skein, and $2.7 per day for XMY-Skein...your 1 dollar in 5 hours seemed though pretty unimpressive for a top of range $1k card but isn't far off the estimates. not to mention a double hit with DGB-BTC pair value drop and BTC-USD value drop....what would you expect?

FYI...my 1060s does more than $7 (correction, forgot not using USD on my AM), $6+ each a day and actual reported earning isn't far off...it's not AM's fault if something isn't optimized on your end

Also...why would you be mining skein when supposedly Equihash/Neoscrypt has much higher reported revenue? seems more like wrong recorded hashrate in your profit profile, did you benchmark properly?

Can I set a profitability factor for the "Unspecified" algorithms like I can set a factor per coin?  For example it seems like I am consistently exceeding the NiceHash CryptoNight profit calculation by 10-15% and I would like to set a factor to adjust the calculated profit.

And I just want to thank everyone here for being so helpful.  AM is a fantastic application and is a central part of my mining operation.  Every day I'm discovering more of what it can do.  I made the right choice in going with AM.

I've set up a managed miner for cast-xmr and put the pool and wallet address in the pool configuration.  But when I start the miner it says no pool is defined.  Does it not pick the details up from the pool config for cast-xmr?

Hello all! Just started mining with AwesomeMiner with MiningPoolHub. It appears that AwseomeMiner isn't switching algos based on my settings. In Options-Profit Switching, I have it set to 45 minutes and my worker is listed correctly (username.worker name) but I've noticed where it will mine the same coin for hours.

In MPH, I have my Worker Login, Worker Password and Job set to 'Account's default job'.

Am I missing something?

Even If I manually stop the miner and restart it, It will go back mining the on the same algo (even if a different one is listed as top one to mine on MiningPoolHub).

Nevermind, I've worked it out.  The wallet address needs to be in the user field.

I'm having some weird stuff happening with ahashpool and CCminer2.2.4, it starts up and the closes immediately, the diagnostic tool states the config might be wrong?  I'm trying with all default settings, just added my bitcoin wallet in.  Anyone else having this problem?

Make sure you exclude the awesomeminer folders in windows defender.

Also look at the bottom right "Action Center" of windows and see if there is a message.

http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/defender.aspx

yep did all that Smiley, just me not looking at what graphics driver version I was using Wink

Thx!

Did you find the sollution im having te same problem.

Thanks in advance!!

Hello,
I must do something wrong with adding coin from whattomine...
I want to add Bitsend to the listed coins. What i did :
- Be sure Xevan algorithm is in latest AM --> OK
- Added http://whattomine.com/coins/201.json in the list in Statistics --> OK

On Whattomine website, coin is marked as "Active".
When i click "update" in coins tab, nothing ! I tried quit AM and launch again, still nothing...
What am I missing ?

Something really odd with the profit calculation goes on sometimes.  For example right now in the Miners window it's showing a profit of $7 per day for Tribus but when I view details it shows $73 per day!  Other times they almost match.  What would cause that?  I realize the miner's view uses actual hash rate and the details uses the benchmarked rate, right?
