I frequently use the JSON from WTM for pulling statistics. However, I have found quite a few new coins that do not show up in WTM. I'd like to still pull in the difficulty data for these coins, is there a way to actively do this? I understand how to create a coin, but that just statically sets the difficultly.

There was reference to be able to do this in 4.4 changelog. Havent investigated further yet:

- Awesome Miner API method to set coin properties, for setting profitability of custom coins from external applications
Yes it works well. I wrote a program to update custom coins.

Could you share how you set this up?

to start, i've tried looking this up over the last few days and have tried various things
i'm missing something somewhere and need fresh eyes on this. i am sure i am missing something right in front of me... .on that note

Claymore v11 in AM....   no matter what i do i can not get it to dual mine.

running from a .bat file i can get it dual mining no problem (in both cases pointed at miningpoolhub)

even have the miner in both cases ignoring the 1 1030 in the system, other cards are 3 1050ti's and 2 1060 3g

both single and dual get me 79+ Mh   and when dual 2nd coin (sia in this case) getting 796Mh

I've tried configuring claymore in AM, click and picked every box for the 2nd coins.. .even tried cut/paste my /bat cmd file into the cmd line in AM
the only thing that takes is the -di 01235 for the cards.

i'm at a loss at getting it to dual mine, the miner is a profit switcher and has no problem in that respects. even got the newest excavator up and running in AM
but this one has me drawing a blank

------edit------

so after looking at it more...   in AM claymores will always start with -mode 1
no matter what i try i can not get to to start with -mode 0      even after cmd line entry, playing with the the extra boxes for the 2ndary coins, and again cut/paste my bat file into the cmd line box...
works fine via bat file but not in AM =/

You might have done all the basic troubleshooting but let's go through some of the things and see if any might've helped.

1. Make sure you have the dual algo pools enabled in Online Services, NiceHash, MPH or the Yiimp ones even.
2. Were you able to benchmark the EthOnly as well as Dual Mining?
3. Are there any hashrate entries for the dual algos under dual section?
4. When mining started, Does the Right Click Miner -> Details show that any of the dual mode were considered as most profitable such it tries to mine those? Also, you can see the command being launched through this window, is it parsing the correct command?
5. Where were you entering user-defined command line parameters? there are several places you can put those in, one in Miner properties, one in Profit Profiles at least, there are also claymore related commands that it is limited to a few supported parameters like ESM for example.
6. If the detailed section shows it's parsing the correct command, then what happens when you RightClick Miner -> Diagnostics? did the output seem normal as expected?

Cheers,

Is it possible to set intensity of a miner for only 1 or 2 algorithms instead of all of them.
I added --intensity on the edit profit profile page

Managed software -> select miner -> user defined command lines per algorithm that you can customize intensity. Note you must add the algorithm name into the command line to start the user defined command line.

E.g. default X17 algorithm starts with x17. In the user defined command line, you also have to start with x17

Simply add x17 --intensity 21
Would that work?

Has anyone had any issues with the GPU clock profiles with the latest version?
A few of my cards are unreachable in AM for some reason all sudden...

Also im having an issue with random rigs getting stuck with 1 coin going crazy high in value, and most others defaulting to 0 in value... the rig was profit switching perfectly previously, now it wont because of that coin value error.

Is there an option or script for a dynamic intensity so the miner can reduce load on GPU while using the PC, and go full load when it's idle?

Cheers,

1. only use MPH, when i run claymore alone it dual mines, when i run from inside AM it will only mine ETH only -mode 1
2. no problem benchmarking ETH only as well as dual mining
3. blake 2b 4.67Gh (dual 790Mh)  ETH 79.Mh (dual 71Mh) sha-3 2.16Gh (dual 716Mh)
4.from details for ETH -   MPH-ETH $6.66   $6.12 (incl sha-3 $0.13) (incl blake 2b $0.05) also shows incl dcred, lbry, pascal, blake 2s...    however everything with a 2nd coin is grayed out, only the ETH only line is in black text
5. have tried to cut/paste my working dual mining cmd line in miner properties, profit profile and in the claymore specific cmd line options boxes.    have also done this with claymore as the only active miner in AM.
6. using the diag. and playing with every setting i can or just running the miner in AM give the same results... ETH only mining with the following output

ETH: 1 pool is specified
Main Ethereum pool is us-east.ethash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:17020

1. only use MPH, when i run claymore alone it dual mines, when i run from inside AM it will only mine ETH only -mode 1
2. no problem benchmarking ETH only as well as dual mining
3. blake 2b 4.67Gh (dual 790Mh)  ETH 79.Mh (dual 71Mh) sha-3 2.16Gh (dual 716Mh)

By the look of it, Eth is the most profitable by a big margin compare to dual mining and that's why it's choosing Eth only as opposed to dual mining. That is because the dual rate recorded (71MH/s) uses the last dual rate and with Keccak (SHA-3), you have to have a lot lower DCRI without affecting Eth hashrate (in my own case).

So while your Eth dual hashrate with sia might be just around 79 MH/s, AM recorded the dual Hashrate with it's last benchmarked result with SHA-3, and at default DCRI 30, you are getting a lowered final result thus profitability shows you are not getting anywhere as profitable with any dual mining enabled vs eth-Only mining.

***
To make sure Dual mining works first, you can manually inflate the dual Eth hashrate in profit profile to anything > Eth only rate. update the online services and let AM recalc the profitability for say, 30s before you start the miner and see if Dual Mining kicks in.

Once you have dual mining working, you can do the same by inflating artificially (manually) the dual rates of the dual algos so they get mining, play with the dual intensity settings while claymore is running (using the +/- key) and find your optimal. once you got that recorded down, it's time to make a device profile that only change the DCRI (secondary intensity) value in Options-> Device profiles.

save the device profiles separately on the algos that uses different dcri, and you can now specify the dual profile to use under Profit Profile -> Claymore Dual  Eth (Configure) and 6 checkboxes in the dialog

Finally, don't forget to re-enter manually the actual dual hashrates for all algos you may have altered during this optimization process.

(Of course you can just run all algos on bat manually and work out the most optimal dcri that way, but I find it easiest and quickest to manipulate the hashrate in profit profile directly)

Hope it helps

yup that worked...   had to inflate the 2nd coins by about 300Mh to get it to dual mine

Knew a 2nd set of eyes would be helpful TYVM =)

not sure if this has already been asked, couldn't find anything via search, but is there any way to pull a log of all the coins that were ever mined via awesome miner?

Awesome miner doesn't keep track of the coins you mine, but the possibility exists with the API to dump the hashrates to a database.  I'm looking at building this as an add-on.

I'm having problems mining X14 with Awesome Miner. I keep getting the error: "result does not validate on CPU", I was getting also like 50 MH/s. though zpool was reporting more like 300kH/s... So yea I've disabled X14 for now.

Anyone else seeing this?

Looks like only https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1338886.0 uses X14..

Try mining similar GPU's at ahashpool and zpool at the same time, i found the hashrates reported and awarded mining earnings were higher on ahashpool

Example: I ran 6x 1080ti asus turbo on zpool, then 6x1080ti asus turbo rig on ahashpool, after 24hrs....
Zpool i only earned $31.20
Ahashpool i earned $34.80

Hello
I'm new on Awesome Miner and I want to say that its a great product.
But I have some issues/questions.

1. I have a mixed-mining-rig (amd + nvidia) and with the Awesome Miner Remote Tool I can start mining only with nvidia OR ati.
Both is not possible.

2. My Rig temparatures are sometime high, but awesom miner does not run gpu fans higher. I dont know why. Is it possible to add a new GPU-Feature like "max. gpu temp" and then it automatically adjust the fans?

3. I followed your instructions exactly, but the auto start of MSI-Afterburn Remote Server ist not working

Ahashpool i earned $34.80

Great thing you did. It is a difference of 11% a lot more than 2% that is shown on their website and we should be careful if this is happening again to use only the pools that are not stealing from us.

I was wondering if we can help each other by publishing pool performance using identical rigs that are mining zpool and ahashpool for the best algo that is selected by AM from each pool.

There was a lot of posts on this forum about zpool stealing 30% from the income, also other posts accusing ahaspool stealing so, real income tests is a must, until Patrike will implement my proposed solution to fix this issue.

So, if we have 2 identical rigs with the daily income in btc earned from each pool, we have a status and we can advise users to disable a specific pool and we can also advise Patike to add more trusted pools in the list.

I brought to you the problems that we all had with HashRefinery last weeks and as a result people verified and removed HashRefinery from AM settings and HashRefinery went from 13k gpu miners/day to just 300 gpu  miners/day.

Right now HashRefinery is reporting $90/rig/day on Phi for the best 24 hours average performance and all the other pools have the best performance around $25/rig/day and this happens for weeks and I do think we should not tolerate misleading reports from pools like HashRefinery is misleading all of us. Because of my warnings miners removed HarsRefinery from AM settings and helped them loosing money.

I do advise Patrike to remove pools that are not acting correctly and sending misleading reports on a regular basis and replace them with pols that are fair with statistics and are well maintained.

I do not think that I have to wait every time 5 times more time to know each time that the order is the same and only the best hashrate is saved, but indeed I really think it would be useful to have an option like "Test all miners and pick the fastest miner for each algo", right ?

Now, the question remains what do we do when we benchmark today and we have  the values saved and when we benchmark again 2 weeks later the values are different. The values also lead to wrong algos ordering because new hashrates changed the ordering, making some algos more profitable.

It is also useful to have the latest benchmark date saved and schedule periodic benchmarks. I noticed that benchmark hash rates varies for the same RIG when benchmarking again after 1 week.

Any ideea ?

I also would be interested in automated benchmarking every so often to guarantee the best profits.

Yes, it would be great to have it implemented.
