Hi all.
I've just installed Awesome Miner and I'm getting this error when I try to start:

HTTP request failed: Empty reply from server
get_work failed, retry after 30 seconds

I think everything with the pool and them miner is ok, and that is the firts time I get this error from any miner.
What could it be? Any help?

Sorry if that was asked before. 288 pages are a lot, and search function didn't work.

Right-click the miner, select diagnostics... then post it here.  We can help you fix it, but we need more information.

Thanks for answering. Finally I followed a video someone suggested in another post and could make ir work.
Another question... I've seen that free version allows a maximun of two miners. Do I need to set up a miner for each coin/pool pair I want to mine?
Or may I choose different pools / coins before starting a miner
Hi,

You can use the Managed Template concept to define combinations of mining software and pools. Then you can apply the template to a miner to change all configuration of it. Please see the link below for more details:
http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/managedtemplate.aspx

Watch out for hash refinery again, Awesome Miner has it pushed at the top for profitability with big profit, but now it's not just not showing your earnings.... I actually saw an earning on my wallet page AND THEN IT WAS REMOVED!

zpool, zergpool, and ahashpool all show x17 earnings within minutes.... hash refinery is the only pool I use that is not showing earnings even after 2 hours of mining.

if you believe HR is being shady here, you can disable it in the profit switching.

X17, 2 blocks found in the last 4 days....all in the last 3 hours, and the latest block an hour ago was well...orphaned so that's why your earning instead of being in "immature", is 0...and XVG is having quite a bit of orphaned blocks lately...maybe avoid it till the dust is settled...there are other profitable coins to mine in the mean time. Don't fret, nobody including the pool itself didn't get rewarded anything for that block

In other words, you just destoryed a decoy fake "Death Star"....

I believe there was previously a request to show coins per day however it would also be nice to have this info on the webpage version as well as the coins difficulty and current price.

Thanks!

Hi patrike. I think I'm experiencing a bug in the latest version. I'm trying to mine CryptonightV7 with nVidia GPU's but I can't get the benchmark going.
Here are the steps I've taken. in the setting I've enabled the CryptonightV7 algorythm. In managed software I enabled XMRig nVidia Miner 2.5.2. In the nVidia GPU profit profile I do see the CryptonightV7 algorythm and the XMRig nVidia Miner mining software is enabled too.
Still when I go to the benchmark menu CryptonightV7 is not there. I've also tried to point AM to manually downloaded miner to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: just for testing I tried configuring Cryptonight-Lite and it IS showing up in the benchmark menu! So there is definitely something werid going on.

Most mining software, including XMRig, requires a pool in order to be benchmarked. Do you have a pool enabled for the profit switcher (Options dialog, Profit switching section) where CryptonightV7 is available, for example Nicehash?

Hi. Please share more details what the error is. It's also recommended to start the miner with the Diagnostics button, and use the GPU mining troubleshooting guide to resolve some of the common problems:

Thanks. Finally I managed to do what I wanted by editing custom profiles.
I have another cuestion. Is it possible to set up a new pool without a coin asociated? And add it later, or choose between some.
As fas as I've seen, there is no way to link coins and wallets, isn't it?

Patrick, can you suport Xmrig ? i cant have it to run... Must we config anyting? i checked the treads detected and they are fine but always geting cuda error... and it dont start mining.

I tested Nicehash aplication with current gpu clocks and it works fine. 2.2Khs on my 5 GPU

Also can you give suport for escavator 1.5? that would work.

Patrike,

Would it be possible to add blazepool support for manged profit miners? With all the issues with some of the pools lately it would be nice to have more options available.

Hi Patrick, thanks for the update!

Regarding the new rule: New rule trigger for miner revenue and profit levels
Its quite a simple rule to setup and I setup a rule for profit (and later revenue) where the miner stops mining when the profit is less 5 South African Rand (then I later put in 500 South African Rand to test this), the time was set to 5 seconds to stop the miner. Unfortunately the rule wouldnt trigger on any of my miners but did work when I manually ran the rule.
If the above rule worked would it also start the miner automatically when the miner is above the profit or revenue threshold specified or do I need to setup an additional rule to start the miner after X amount of profit or revenue?

Also the other day I wrote:
One of my pet peeves with AM is the options screen fixed size.  I see that you made the benchmarks screen where the screen size could be adjusted with the mouse.  Would it be possible to do the same with the options screen and also add if you double click on the header/title panel of that screen it expands to fill the available space on a monitor?
I am one of those snobs that has AM setup in my lounge PC with 150% display scaling on my monitor. The options screen is cut-off from the bottom so I cant click "OK" without lowering the display scaling specifically for AM before putting it back to 150%.  I understand that this is an edge case but maybe there are other users that has AM setup with non standard display scaling on their monitor.
Is this something you might be able to consider or is it too edge case/low priority/pain in the a$$?

Thanks!

Yes thank you Patrike! I'm already experiencing less unnecessary switching and seemly more consistent earnings client side, have to keep mining going longer to see the effect reflected on earning but I expect that to be much better than before.

Confirming what @smartieee said, the actions don't seem to execute properly even though the condition triggered. I initially was using the "profit switching" action + notification to see it in effect, but the notification while kicked in, nothing happened except the rule starts flooding the Notification tab every 5 seconds. I have hence used a workaround actions for the rule (stop miner -> wait 5s -> start miner) and that does execute the rule actions accordingly no issues.

@Smartieee, I believe the  rule only looks at the current miner's profit/revenue per day in action! rather than the overall profile and periodic calculated overall profit rank, thus right at this moment, it probably doesn't do the auto starting since once your miner stopped, it probably will not be monitored by the rule when idle. I'm pretty sure Patrike can gradually expand this function further in future releases upon how useful ppl find the function to be for them and giving feedback and ideas. Right now for starters, it is already showing signs of great improvement with the first release of the feature.

Once again, thank you Patrike!

How can I get the Raven Miner to work in "Profit Switching" mode? I was able to benchmark Raven Miner but then what should I do to start mining with Raven Miner?
Currently I only use MiningPoolHub and Nicehash: I don't thing RavenMiner is supported there, so first step is probably to register to a new pool.
Any guidance appreciated!
thanks

Latest version of AwesomeMiner added support for Cryptonight-Lite and Cryptonight-Heavy.

What mining software (AMD) supports these algos? I tried all those included with Awesome Miner and I was never offered to benchmark Cryptonight-Lite and Cryptonight-Heavy.

Thanks

Like the Dev said a few posts above, you need a pool setup along with enabled software + algo to benchmark. Amd just go claymore, unless you have vega and want to use castxmr

Most mining software, including XMRig, requires a pool in order to be benchmarked. Do you have a pool enabled for the profit switcher (Options dialog, Profit switching section) where CryptonightV7 is available, for example Nicehash?

Thanks for the help, that makes sense. I've been able to benchmark CryptonightV7 after creating a "user defined online service" for MiningPoolHub (as I don't use Nicehash atm). Is it normal the "user defined online service" doesn't show up in the Online Services tab? I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to be.
