Why is Monero profitabilitly displayed as 0.000 ? I have external miner and the hash rate is properly calculated for Monero but it looks like AW can't get the value of monero (added json manualy still displays value 0)
You may have to manually select CryptonightV7->Monero, if it was selected as the coin Cryptonight->Monero before. I've already made a change in the new release that is about to be made available to remove any old entries of Cryptonight-Monero
I did that but still displays 0.0, funny thing is i know see the value of XMR it just doesn't calculate the profit...oh well on to install new version

Actually i think i know what is the problem, XMR-STAK is listed as CN lago insted of CNv7, guess this is the reason why it doesn't calculate since AM probably thinks that measured hash rate is not for CNv7 algo

PS, if you have no ASICs or ASICs for certain ASIC algos, I suggest you disable most of the ASIC algos since no point mining them with GPUs/CPUs, disable via 1) ....above.

Is there a way, or a list, to know wich ones are ASIC algos?

For some reason i cant run benchmarks with enemy 1.05 with AM 4.7.1, it says "no URL supplied", enemey 1.04 does not show any errors, but same problem-not working. Last time i run benchmarks for ccminer-enemy 1.03 with AM 4.6 and it was fine.

Does anyone else have an issue with MiningDutch and the skein algorithm?

If I start Awesome Miner and I have all of my pools enabled in the profit switching menu, then Awesome Miner switches to Mining Dutch to mine the skein algo, it will instead start mining x11 (always the same, always x11).... and that is not profitable at all.... BUT, if I have only Mining Dutch selected in the profit switching menu, then start the miner, it mines skein normally with no problems.

The other problem that I have is that when I have all my pools enabled in the profit switching menu, AwesomeMiner will be mining the most profitable algo, and there will be no errors, no rejected shares, no hardware errors, but it will randomly just start mining the next most profitable algo in the list while the other algo is still the most profitable.

Also, when this happens, stopping the miner and restarting it will not make it start mining the top algo again... I have to completely close AwesomeMiner, and then it will start mining the most profitable algo again.

Does anyone else experience these issues, and what can I do to fix this?
1) Which of these pools are most profitable according to the View Details dialog (right click on the miner and select View Details)? The hashrates defined in the profit profile is what the profit switcher is looking at

2) I think you may not get any accepted shares for a period of time, and then Awesome Miner will mark the pool as "Failed" for this reason. You can disable this behavior in the Options dialog, Profit Switching section where you can uncheck "Ignore pools with no accepted shares".

Please keep an eye on this miner to make sure that it eventually starts to produce accepted shares.

1) I am using the nvidia profile (fully benchmarked and saved to profile) in my online services tab. When skein algo on Mining Dutch is most profitable.... It's because your software is telling me it is the most profitable. Clicking view details to see the most profitable gives me the same information as the online services tab.
The issue is that it's not actually mining skein like I said. (Unless I uncheck all pools in profit switching menu and only allow Mining Dutch)

At the very least, if there is no fix for me... Is there at least a way to disable just 1 specific algo for 1 specific pool??? If that is not possible, could you please add that in an update? I believe the ability to disable specific algos for specific pools would help a lot of people. I looked around but never found any option to do this.

2) Again, like I said.... AwesomeMiner will be mining the most profitable algo, and there will be no errors, no rejected shares, no hardware errors, but it will randomly just start mining the next most profitable algo in the list while the other algo is still the most profitable.

Could the shares just be taking too long? I have ignore pools with no accepted shares set to 5 minutes.

EDIT: Yes I believe I had the setting "Ignore pools with no accepted shares (in minutes)" set too low. Setting this number higher or disabling it appears to keep miners mining when they are working harder for shares in certain cases. But this still does not explain why AwesomeMiner starts mining x11 on Mining Dutch when it is supposed to be mining skein.... and it is only with skein, like right now I have some rigs mining Nist5 on Mining Dutch, and none of them are having any issues and they are all mining the correct algo.

1) I assume you are using built-in Online Services, in this case, yes you can disable algo per pool just by Online Services -> Select one(s) you want to edit (multi select with shift/ctrl possible) and press Edit/Buik Edit -> Uncheck the Include in Managed Profit Switcher box, this part was pretty straight forward hence not easy to search for posts with similar issue

2) If you are having the problem of pools deactivated due to no accepted shares, check the port you are using, and read the getting started page @ Mining-Dutch on which port to use for your hardware. In fact, the default Online Services currently in AM v4.7 is probably using the wrong port for most hobby miners (9998 is High Diff on Skein Multiport at MD) hence you are not getting accepted shares fast enough. Just change the port to Vardiff and try again. since I believe you have quite capable HW, you might not need to use the Low Diff port.

***
PS, if you have no ASICs or ASICs for certain ASIC algos, I suggest you disable most of the ASIC algos since no point mining them with GPUs/CPUs, disable via 1) ....above.

***
PPS.
While you might be experienced miner, I guess you are relatively new to AM or Profit Switching. My suggestion is to test various online services and find out which one suits you and filter out the ones that doesn't. If you don't do Auto Exchange at all, I suggest you look away from the Built-In Yiimp pools and manually add only the ones you like to use via Pool Groups.

I appreciate the /r/ELI5 explanation of things, and yes you are correct, I am new to AM.

I have a mix of GPU rigs and ASIC units.

And yes I completely overlooked the actual online services menu part because I mainly thought it was for altering ports and such, not disabling the algos entirely... In hindsight it does make sense that I should have looked there to see if disabling specific algos was possible. (I mainly spend a lot of time looking at the online services tab not the menu part) So thanks for that bit of knowledge.

So for right now I am much happier with AM and because of your posts I am starting to look at AM issues as they are probably my lack of understanding of the finer points of the software itself...

But, I still believe that there is some unseen issue here for Mining Dutch with the skein algo.... Like I said, it is only Mining Dutch and only skein and only if I enable all my pools. If I simply disable all other pools then mining skein on Mining Dutch works just fine, but with all pools enabled, for some reason if skein on Mining Dutch becomes the most profitable, when the miner starts... it starts mining x11. And it's always x11, nothing else.

Anyway, thank you.

Hi Awesome miner folk. Im getting high profit figures on the coin page with Sumokoin and MoneroV7. It seems a coma has been mistaken for a decimal place. e.g Sumokoin is showing £54,830.71 per month at the moment for 2 x rx570's lol, it should be reading £54.83 per month. Problem is its messing with the profit switching, and not switching to more profitable coins. Thank you in advance Smiley

When I view profitability details on my dual Vega setup it's showing cryptonight v7 as 0.00 profit per day for MiningPoolHub which is definitely wrong. Something appears to be broken with the V7 handling.

I Have just updated to 4.7.1 and all algorithms and softwares give me 50% rejected shares due to too low difficulty? What exactly happened on that update? And btw I also started having the "interface/service offline" issue on all miners.

I just noticed that MiningPoolHub changed their API's during the day for their reporting of Cryptonight / CryptonightV7. The naming of the algorithm in their API response has changed. I will have to see what these changes are about and adjust Awesome Miner to it.

I don't think Cryptonight-Heavy has any default hashrates defined. In your profit profile, what's your hashrate for Cryptonight-Heavy (Sumocoin) for example? It should be like one or a few kH/s I assume?

Hi, the more i used this tool, the more i am desesparate lol
I think i will give up.
A simple thing :
Launching miners and checking them remotely does work
Now, if i want to do managed miners, just one algo (i set up a template) to replicate the same settings , i put rules also to restart the miner, the miners will always stop for one reaoson or not, AMD or Nvidia, where they never stop when i run them without awesome miner...
Lossing so much time and energye and money...

Don't understand how a simple thing like that can't work properly
Tried the algo swithcing, and it is very rare that the tool will choose the correct algo...At the end, i just end up with Zec for Nvidia and ETH for AMD, sadly...Tought this tool could make some optomization, but it makes things worse.

Will check up other tool for monitoring, because i am really not convinced by any algo switching tool
Already when i was using MPH function for that, was very disappointed by the profit generated.

Now, unless spending time to find yourself the good coin to mine, and manage to sell fast, i don't see how this can make more money, just spend more time lol

Hi Patrike,

I was hoping this update might fix my previous issue with "some" rigs not showing revenue per day/month for Monero V7.

Let me be more specific:

Before the recent update, R9 380 and R9 390 Rigs using Claymore CryptoNight to mine Monero V7 showed $0.0 daily/monthly revenue.  However, RX 480 and RX 580 rigs using Cast XMR to mine Monero V7 showed daily/monthly revenue.

After the most recent update, I'm having the same issues except for one more ADDED issue.  The R9 380 and 390 rigs still show no daily/monthly revenue when using Claymore CryptoNight to mine MoneroV7.  But now they don't even show the Monero logo.  I did not think it would affect that issue if I upgraded each managed miner mining Monero V7 "with" Claymore CryptoNight but I did so anyway to see if that would fix it but no dice.

To be clear:  The rigs that ARE showing the MoneroV7 logo are using Cast XMR to mine Monero with RX 400 and 500 series rigs.  The rigs with NO MONERO LOGO at all are R9 series rigs using Claymore CryptoNight to mine MoneroV7.

Here is a link to a screenshot of the issue: https://i.imgur.com/C4AkyjH.jpg

No disrespect intended.  Usually, the issue with Awesome Miner not working as expected is "User Error" and not the application itself.

One big question:

I have set up several yiimp style pools, with some custom coins
Is it possible for Awesome miner to read API's from theese pools to switch between custom coins? Like I suppose it does with zergpool or zpool
I want the program to switch based on difficulty, better than estimated profit.
As there are coins wich difficulty changes each block, manual input makes no sense...

Hi,

If you haven't given up yet, would you elaborate on your situation please? How was your system(s) setup, HW used, mining SW used. Rule Settings.

Checked Tools -> LogFiles  for any "[E]" flags to show insight to what might gone wrong?

Algo switching is complicated, really complicated as it is affected by many factors from including individual blockchain networks' stability and accuracy, statistic gathering site's accuracy (such as WTM), Pools profit reporting accuracy (Yiimp, MPOS), Pool Luck, number of miners mining the coin/algo, TTF block, pray you didn't mine on the wrong chain on a chain split....etc. and a lot more.

Most are truly out of AMs control but some you can alleviating by carefully selecting your own pools, IMHO, AM's true potential doesn't lie with Profit Switching with its own Predefined Online Services, it's mere an introduction or a workaround for ppl who are looking at ease of use tools like NiceHash, NEMO, MPM (quote need verification, I never used NEMO, MPM) where your variability in profit are less pronounced as they limit themselves to only a few set of pools. The beauty of AM is that you can already turn ANY combination of pools, coins/algos that's available in the cryptoworld today (mineable ones of course) into its Profit Switcher!

Like I suggested before, Switch Away from predefined Online Services and find your own pools for your coins, Stay away from auto exchanging Yiimps too if you are a true profit switcher. The former is flooded by too many users, the latter interferes with real coins' profit statistics. Also, a profit switcher tries to stay away from PPLNS, PPLNT pools (which can be a painful time consuming job to find) especially if the PPLNS, PPLNT window is < pools block time...you will waste time mining there (luckily most Yiimps are PROP but most Equi and Ethash pools aren't), also use @soothaa's coin plugin for starters and switch away from WTM...use WTM only for more established blockchains, the less established ones can get overlooked and not accurate at all, when problem occurs, they can take days to get fixed, if fixed at all. Also, true profit switcher uses "Current" statistics rather than 24 hour avg, this is suggested by Ahashpool, I find it hard to believe in the first place but starting to understand why.

I want the program to switch based on difficulty, better than estimated profit.
As there are coins wich difficulty changes each block, manual input makes no sense...

Yiimp public APIs don't seem provide current network/block difficulty, you'll want to use Soothaa's Coin Plugin and stay away from built-in Yiimp pools, reason being (not sure if it's fixed but right now it's Working as Intended) that the profitability data returned from the predefined Yiimp API overrides individual coin's profitability. Also Yiimp pools like zpool will redivert you to its own determined most profitable coins and convert to your coin specified in (-p c=XXX) with that, comes conversion fee. and you are not really mining that coin...you mine any coins of that algo and they gets converted based on market rate then you cash out and convert again when you want to sell them....that's why I say stay away from auto-exchanging Yiimp if you plan to convert yourself at later time yourself sees fit.

let me put this in picture:

You are mining say, Neoscrypt coins that are currently not the most profitable, so AM switched you away to other algos. but next minute, you are mining GoByte on 1 miner, and Innova on another, and you are wondering why it's all over the place. The situation turns out clear that suddenly Zpool reports highest profitability on its Neoscrypt pools, and it overrides all Neoscrypt coins which you have custom pool setup with the same profitability info.

You suddenly see something like:

Zpool Neoscrypt @ $5/day
GBX @ $5/day
CRC @ $5/day
DSR @ $5/day
INN @ $5/day

even if you have coins info correct and individual pools setup....on different pool, the result is, some of your miners mines at Zpool, but some mines individual coins at the obvious wrong profitability at another pool.
