Tilt your head to the left: 379 (watts). That's what my system was running at under stock clocks. I have both cares overclocked now, running at 420W.

Wasn't sure if it was 3.79/month or what to run that machine. What are the specs?

Nice! How's that Corsair power supply? I read somewhere that it makes an annoying buzzing noise - especially when a CPU goes into one of the C states (Intel only).

corsair obsidian 800d case w/ 10 fans !

Wow, that build looks amazing inside that case. I actually almost regret getting the full ATX Cooler Master tower with the red LED front fan that a lot of other people are using as well. I did not actually see this case when I made my build, I would have shelled out more for it.

You probably can't hear the buzzing anyway Grin

Yeah for sure you can't hear it over the gpu fans.

Guys check out the Lian Li PC-P80B. That case is sweet also (incidentally it's the one that I use at the moment).

glad you like the rig ;> Its my baby.... Smiley
only thing I wish I could figure out is a way to keep it cool while mining with the case closed,  im not brave enough yet to do liquid cooling on the GPU's, and ive upgraded to 8 case fans, 4 of them are 140 mm, the rest 120mm , with the air conditioning on or when its cool I can find full blast with all three gpu's and stay at 66 celcius which is awesome but when its a little hotter in the room I get up to 72-73 degrees but never above 74

I actually have never heard that buzz before
I love corsair products, im a big fan... (no pun intended)

im hoping this month to buy two 6990's and replace the two 6870's
they are nice cards but only give a little over 300 m/hash each, which is getting more insignificant every day...

but I love mining, its the most fun I could have with a $2500 monster gaming machine that just sits in the corner and hashes all day and night , i dont use it for anything else
lol

That is good to know that even with all the fans it does not stay cool enough when closed. That's the main problem I have with the Cooler Master case, even with the larger fans (which are a bit slow) I cannot keep it cool enough during the warmer days and have to prop up a small desk fan to help blow air into the case.

Time is money. This means that if you have spare time, you can use it to make money.

the rig was not connected at the time I took the photo, so yes it's connected with a normal utp/rj45 cable.

hi,
I've a HX 620W Corsair PSU and hd5870, I want to switch to two HD6950 flashed to 6970, do you think I've to change my PSU to a 850w/1000w ? (+i5 750 wc, 2hdd, 1sdd)  Smiley

Not the right thread for this question but I'll bite...

OK, a single 6970 has the following power supply recommendation on the AMD website: 550 Watt or greater power supply with one 150W 8-pin PCI Express® power connector and one 75W 6-pin PCI Express® power connector recommended

The max TDP for this card is 250 Watts (just for the card btw!) so to run two you need 500 Watts just for the cards. Tack on the power consumption of your CPU, hds, ssd, other junk, and you're going to come pretty close to the max rated capacity of your hx 620.

Sooo..I'd recommend you get a 850 or 1000 watt power supply. The HX1000W is a good one Smiley That's what I have in my main sys and it performs like a champ. I love the HX series Smiley

oh ok thanks I think I'll take the HX 1000 (but it's a little expensive, 193€  Smiley but I love corsair products ^^

One question for immune, I see a fan on your cards, how did you fixed it?
I have a 800D too with H50, but I put the H50 fan on the back to have fresh air in entry it's a better solution than on the top no?  Wink
