I notice on the new website PaulG & the Chinese guy are missing! Why is this please? Where have they gone and why? What did they do for Ultracoin?

Please answer this very important question! I'm surprised other community members don't want this answering.

Hello Pugman,

Paul and Fabian are still a part of the team, however, they do not play an active role in development. They were there in providing advising and capital to the project, but at this point that is about the extent of their participation. That is why I have decided to only include active members of the team on the website.

Sincerely,

Steven "Rapture"

How many of the people on this board think of UTC as nothing more than an ATM?

I know it is a bit of a long shot, as no one as of yet has bothered to answer any of my queries on this site. However, I shall try anyway. The android app - does it work or not. I have tried, but as of yet it still doesn't work on my phone. Until small details such as this are sorted, how
are we realistically hoping to get any sort of mass adoption/use of this? Be brave, give me an answer...Smiley

Hello Roister,

Yes, the Android app is available. However, the sheer amount of blocks needed to download the blockchain will bloat your storage and bandwith, and make your CPU scream. I don't recommend using the android app unless you plan on making your Android device a dedicated Ultracoin wallet. We are working on a selective blockchain downloader that downloads only the parts of the blockchain needed to process your transactions.

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

I just wanted to provide everyone with a few quick updates. The ultracoin.net revisions have been made and the new website is up today and fully functional, check it out! Kracko has been working on the NF15 stall and block reward update as well as putting the final touches on the block retargetting. The pools and manual pay outs are to be taken care of as well, that is one of our highest priorities. The pools will also be converted to an automatic payout system to avoid future corruptions as what occurred with our current system causing the payouts to be stalled. We also have a full time pool operator that will be introducing shortly into the team to take care of pool operations full time with full community support. Expect more updates very soon.

Sincerely,

Steven "Rapture"

Should be fixed N14, N15 botnet also washed away the mining industry.

There was no N15 Botnet mining UTC (or YAC).  At N15 CPUs are not competitive against GPUs at all.  Any CPU botnet would make far more $ mining something else where CPUs are competitive like XMR.

Hi Steven - whats up with staking?

Has not worked now for 10 hours

Firstly a whole string of orphans - now nothing at all

But it reports "your estimated time to reward is 21 seconds"? 8 active connections.

I have reconnected a few times but no change.

Hey guys, we are looking into this now. The update should address these vulnerabilities in the network with the smoother difficulty adjustments and lower NF. From what it looks like, their was a sudden spike in hash. This might be related to the miner that was hitting the network with a large amount of hash a few weeks ago. The update should be ready to go live within a few weeks, at least enough time for Cryptsy and the other services to update as well as the community. I will post the new update as soon as it becomes available, that will be our best bet to avoid any kind of hash surges and possible attacks. In the meantime we'll keep an eye on things and I'll let Kracko know about the staking difficulties. Is anyone else experiencing staking trouble?

Sincerely,
