@nanoprobe

The new wallet update is our number one priority at this moment. It will be incorporating a number of improvements and enhancements, including issues regarding memory leakage, vastly improved start time, updated aesthetics, security patches, upgraded seeders, and much more. I don't want to leak all of the details until the wallet is released or in final beta, but it is being worked on extensively. Kracko is dedicating a lot of time into improving it and and we believe it will be the most important wallet release since stake minting was enabled. The new wallet will address a plethora of issues and update our software to the standard that cryptocurrency users expect at this stage in the game. We already have working beta's, but the amount of improvements going into one update is going to take a little bit of time, so bare with us.

Sincerely,

Good to know. New people coming into UTC need to see a fully functional wallet that gives a good impression of the work going on. Thanks for the update.

Noticed my computer was a little sluggish today. Opened task manager to find the UTC wallet was using 25% of CPU power on a 2600K. The wallet was fully synced and staking. What's up with that? Not acceptable.

You are wrong.  Smiley UTC is safe from Asic. UTC is different than scrypt-n. UTC is using Scrypt-Chacha. Next NF change happens soon so memory requirements is bigger again.

So no asic for UTC. If there is some nice day scrypt-Chacha asic, it will not be so powerfull and everytime NF change effiency will go down a lot.

UTC is right choise for now and in the future.  Grin

Hello,

there is an online wallet for Ultracoin like blockchain.info ?

Thanks you

online wallets are risky if one exists. (it doesnt as far as i know).  If you really have to store your coins online then use a trustworthy exchange and be prepared for delays in withdrawals due to cold storage procedures  should the exchanges online wallets need refilling.

Crypto-Trade is one of the oldest exchanges (established early 2013) and was one of the first exchanges to support UTC, going so far as to add UTC/USD UTC/EUR UTC/LTC & UTC/BTC.   They have maintained a good track record for looking after users and their coins.  There also no withdrawal/transaction restrictions from the US AML/KYC requirements to limit your access to your coins you hold there, so it comes close to being a somewhat decent webwallet.

Hopefully an electrum type wallet will hopefully emerge for UTC in the future as it becomes more popular.

Stay Safe and use NO KYC exchanges ■ Craig Wright is NOT Satoshi  ■
