And people don't be greedy dicks!

Use lower hashrate on pools - less mining costs, better reward! -.-

I fixed your post.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

LOL, pool limiting hashrate is impossible. Use a proxy and create more workers.

You're trying to make mining into something it's not - centralizing it and forcing people to use small amounts of hash just... isn't going to work.
I know that you employer will not be happy for sure.

But i agree.
Dev, Please don't do this and forget what said.

We will just stay where we are unless big voice comes up.

I tried to mine coin this but i could not get the miner working.
i tried 3 miners and 2 pools and it just crashes.

then for kicks i checked out the pools hash rates and its botnet city

Can you confirm properly set the miner up; running from the command line and see what you get:

http://cryptomagic.com/files/magi-minerd/cpuminer-xgm_pool-mining_win64.zip
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.msg8825278#msg8825278

MarcusDe's miner: http://graymines.net/miners/magi/

Now my question, how do you know who is running botnet in the pool? curiously.

Extra reading if that helps

Let us know what you observed.

Cryptoine.com doing good business with XMG.
I suspect that XMG maybe booked next week by large exchange(s).
If we look back, we see that there was a lot of pressure on the launch.
XMG dev there really got through it.
Then it was very busy on this thread.
Now everything runs stable and is working on promotions and marketing.
It seems sometimes a bit quieter on the thread, but there are certainly a lot of actions behind the scene.
It is wise not to give every plan in advance in the thread. It is better to indicate afterwards what the good results of an executed plan are.
That way you can prevent that enormous pressure on the performers.
Advice from the community is always good I think.
Magicoin XMG has something magical.
Together we can accomplish a lot.

A little sad, and embarrassing, news from the dice game, xmg.maxbet.club

When I logged in to the dice game this morning i noticed that the wallet was empty except for 0.03549860 xmg. We have been hacked.

The hack itself was simple and easy to trace, it was done via http protocol and with the withdrawal process. By making a withdrawal request with a negative sum they where able to fool the dice game how much coins they have.

For example the user has 0 balance when doing a withdrawal request of -1000 to an valid address, the system updates their current balance with 0--1000 (That's right, double minus signs. This makes the new balance positive) wich gave them a new balance of 1000.

So this was why the game was down due to technical issues.

It was not me that wrote the code for the game but I do run the game on my server and therefor take full responsibility for this being able to happen.
I did check the code for the dice game before launching the game, but apparently not enough.

Now I have re-written the withdrawal processes completely, nothing from the old code was used.
I've also transferred the lost amount to the dice wallet from my private wallet so no user is affected of what happened.

The amount transferred from the wallet was 113.05 xmg. The amount was transferred to 95y3efSCYmnS58mNmK8zgySYFyEcHLMbqH with six transfers. The user have / had the ip 50.161.185.89

So, an little summarize what happened, the dice game been hacked. I've fixed how and why this was able to happened. I've also transferred the lost amount back to the dice wallet. No user was affected by what happened or lost any coins.

Sorry for the long post but I wanted it to be clear and open with why and what happened here.

As I have already said that XMG also attracts several competitors that everything will try to disrupt the success of XMG.  Similarly, this kind of action. It would not surprise me that all these XMG already sold on Cryptoine. I just bought some cheap coins again and as a lover of Magicoin XMG and his community I will donate a portion to Ex33s.

This sounds positive. Good comments on the second Magicoin XMG Thread.

I am pleased that the Chinese community liked this coin, usually they object to new coins without reasons likely because there are so many out there.

http://www.coindesk.com/chinese-markets-dominance-poses-questions-global-bitcoin-trading-flows/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+CoinDesk+%28CoinDesk+-+The+Voice+of+Digital+Currency%29

Good response from China is very good for XMG.
They are still very active in Bitcoin and altcoinworld.

That is again the beauty of this community.
Helping each other.

(MarcusDe: your welcome  Wink)
(Ex33s: do send me a pm if you received my XMG)

Thank you, I've received your TX! Smiley

Those stolen coins haven't been transferred from that address (https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xmg/address.dws?95y3efSCYmnS58mNmK8zgySYFyEcHLMbqH.htm). Except for -0.0502 XMG.

Your are absolutely right about with higher interest in XMG comes also those how are willing to actually destroy what we, as a community, and the dev is building here.

This little setback was easily fixed and doesn't discourage me in continuing developing new features or services. It actually encourage me to continue! Wink

This address belongs to Us.
Do not be surprised. Someone in the future may receive coins from this address.

How can we help you in this situation? We may reveal personal information to law enforcement authorities. It was only upon the order of the prosecutor.
We have nothing but an e-mail address.

And for this reason, exchanges require all personal information form users.

Thank you for your reply and verifying the address. I haven't talked to law enforcement, don't know if it's worth my time (or yours for that matter). This is about 113 xmg.

I'll PM you if there is anything else in the future regarding this matter.
