I just had a discussion with poloniex in IRC. Most likely they can list XMG, but they are concerning about the swap coins, since I have the full control of them. They provided a solution, using Escrow service offered by them (with about 1 ~ 2% fee). I believe this will be a good solution to enhance the trust of miners/investors on XMG. Poloniex will have a discussion inside their team. Let's see what they will say. In the meantime, please go to this thread for any coin swap discussions: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=821170.0

   Great news. BTW, I also would like to mention here that your attitude against the swap-coin matter DOES build trust on you as dev and on Magi. Why? As someone with no magi (old) I really appreciate your efforts towards those people who had support for the old coin, It is a strong argument that you still do your best to protect old investors (support wise), which makes me feel that you will do the same for this coin too Smiley
   I really do not have too much ideas about swap-coin, and that's why I am silent on that thread, BUT I wanted to mention that swap-coin IS a very good clue towards the fact that the DEV will not abandon us, XMG enthusiasts so easyly Smiley

Thanks Arakhne. I guess most of people are not reading the thread, cause I always receive PM about their concern that they have been mining and buying XMG but just realized the coin swap that astonished them. I am not sure how they read our updates; thus I'll need you all to spread a message that we put the new XMG community as the first and foremost place; also we won't overlook the prior coin holders but all must understand we should make sure XMG will be accepted by more people, that is based on a fact that coin swap won't be a concern people should worry about (for example, swap coins are absorbed by the market slowly; again for any concerns, go to the thread and write your posts).

I would like to XMGpoolminerWin32, which will be launched with a lower priority "belownormal".
(For example, the so-run vplotgenerator)

I run the miner at lowest priority "low" routinely, so it does not interfere or slow down operations when you want to use the PC for something else. If your PC is otherwise idle, the priority that the miner process runs at is mostly irrelevant. Using the 32 bit miner on a 64 bit operating system would be illogical, since the 64 bit miner is a lot quicker. Whatever you do, do not try running a miner process at "realtime" priority. Well actually, don't just take my word for it - try it out and see what happens for yourself - then reboot your PC Cheesy Cheesy

I did not understand correctly?
a detailed example:
All miners and almost all programs are run with the priority "normal."
But there are other programs, "Nero.exe" running with the default priority "abovenormal";
wplotsgenerator.exe starts immediately (himself) by default with lower priority.
I would like to once a miner myself run with low priority - and this can only be programmed when compiling miner.

The minerd.exe runs at normal priority by default and there is nothing in the code itself that alters this. However, it is possible to start the minerd.exe process from the command line thus:-

start /low minerd.exe --url=[url] --user=[user] --pass=[password] --threads=[number of threads]

or

start /belownormal minerd.exe --url=[url] --user=[user] --pass=[password] --threads=[number of threads]

You might also be interested in my findings with this miner here:-

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.msg8867876#msg8867876

and here-

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.msg8926975#msg8926975

Hope this helps. If you are still having problems then get back to me and I will guide you. You might also want to have a look at the "start" command options by typing "help start" at a command prompt. I will be releasing a newer version of the miner for Windows 64 bit very soon which will include an "autostart" function that configures the miner for you, so you do not have to create any command batch files yourself.

Grin so lonely mining on suprnova .___.

Lol. Not really though. Noncepool has more than twice the number of workers, but not twice the hashrate. I am rather glad that your considerable hashing power is on Suprnova, because if you switched to Noncepool the situation would be very unbalanced. I split my hashing power 50/50 between the two pools and I would like to see more people doing the same thing to balance things out. This is my miner startup batch file under Windows 7 (64 bit) on a quad-core processor:-

start /low /min /affinity 0x7 minerd --url stratum+tcp::/xmg.suprnova.cc:7127 --user Spexx.Spexx0 --pass stratocaster --threads 1 --quiet
start /low /min /affinity 0xb minerd --url stratum+tcp::/xmg.suprnova.cc:7127 --user Spexx.Spexx1 --pass stratocaster --threads 1 --quiet
start /low /min /affinity 0xd minerd --url stratum+tcp://mine2.magi.nonce-pool.com:4090 --user Spexx.Spexx2 --pass stratocaster --threads 1 --quiet
start /low /min /affinity 0xe minerd --url stratum+tcp://mine2.magi.nonce-pool.com:4090 --user Spexx.Spexx3 --pass stratocaster --threads 1 --quiet

... which works very nicely. I have a new autostart batch file in development which will do this for you if you have identical account setups on both pools. It works just fine at the moment, but I am going to incorporate automatic pool fail-over too just to see if I can break it Cheesy Another task is to create a proper Readme file to go with the package before release. Windows users will be overjoyed I'm sure Smiley Watch this space ...

This video is a 5 star rating for me!!! Great choice of words during his editorial word smith process!!

This person sounds familiar, does he do commercial videos for movies that we hear in movie theaters in the US?

LOVE THE VOICE OVER!! VERY CLEAR

Getting a video done like this in the days of marketing generally can cost up to $2500 USD ...

after we get 1000+ views on that video, I expect a huge turn up on the market... speculating around 200+ points

Investors love videos like this, and we all know this is really providing the ultimate mining solution

BIG PLUS for this video, impressed guys... watch it now https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EkAbPacS7c

I support Magi the first anti-botnet mining network to give regular miners the fair chance of mining. Talk to #Magi on IRC: https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.freenode.net/#magi or on BitcoinTalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.0

Great contributions! Thank you very much!

Edit+add: We need a XMG faucet! As a faucet lover, I would like to drip from one! As a humble contribution I will add 50 100 XMG to the bounty to build one. (I will surely drip it back Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy say ... in one year) An hourly faucet giving away ~0.1 per drip should sound ok in my opinion.

Well, I stirred up some stuff around here the past couple of days.......not my intention, but I know I upset a few.

So to show my support to the community, I will kick down 200 XMG for the faucet, or whatever else the community sees fit.  It is not much, but I am a poor sob right now!

Yep - I have addressed that problem too Cheesy If you add "/b" to each of the start commands, all the miner outputs will display in a single console window instead of in multiple windows e.g.

start /b /low /affinity 0x7 minerd --url stratum+tcp::/xmg.suprnova.cc:7127 --user Spexx.Spexx0 --pass stratocaster --threads 1 --quiet
start /b /low /affinity 0xb minerd --url stratum+tcp::/xmg.suprnova.cc:7127 --user Spexx.Spexx1 --pass stratocaster --threads 1 --quiet
start /b /low/affinity 0xd minerd --url stratum+tcp://mine2.magi.nonce-pool.com:4090 --user Spexx.Spexx2 --pass stratocaster --threads 1 --quiet
start /b /low /affinity 0xe minerd --url stratum+tcp://mine2.magi.nonce-pool.com:4090 --user Spexx.Spexx3 --pass stratocaster --threads 1 --quiet

I do believe that this is what you are looking for Smiley

Link for "pre-release" version of my new automine.bat program for Windows 64 bit users is below:-

https://www.dropbox.com/s/omn9mzbohnrisvc/automine.bat?dl=0

It is not quite finished yet, but good enough for people to have a play with and there is some built-in documentation to guide you on how to use it. Download the file, copy it into the same folder as your minerd.exe and enjoy. I expect to have a full release package available later today. You will also need sleep.exe downloaded to the same folder - available here:- https://www.dropbox.com/s/0q6i82585km002u/Sleep.exe?dl=0

I've started a Proof of Biking announcement here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=820255 Comments are welcomed.  This is my effort to try to help promote the coin.  I'm kind of waiting to see what level of interest and reaction this gets at this point before I run the first event.  I've set aside 100 XMG of my personal mining for the first pot.  Any interest in either riding or donating?  Suggestions?

Good idea!
I also will donate 100 XMG for the PoB.
I like unique ideas.
Fits well with XMG!
