September 1st implementation from AlphaBay so it is more speculation from now until then...possibly hovering around .0084 - .0092 until then which makes Monero worth approximately $4.80s - $5.30s. Pure speculation but after September 1st, it could go above .011 easily, looks like accumulation is still happening and profit holders are letting some of their coins go for profits as they see fit.

My gut feeling says we're heading towards 0.012.

We're clearly in the middle of a profound change.

I think your guy feeling is wrong but good luck to you if you are invested and plan on selling some at .012

Perhaps.

But of the several years I've been frequenting this thread I can't think of any occasions where I have been wrong as yet.

You mean you've not been wrong even once in the last few years on your price predictions of xmr. Not even once?

Not that I've ever seen.  It's something I've previously taken note of.

And should we start to plan a Monero $100 or $1,000 party?  Can we do it at Malla?

Malla can comfortably host about 20 guests, so I'd like the party held so that everyone fits in who is able to come.

$10 perhaps?  Cheesy

At the moment, there´s +137K moneros for lend. Yesterday, the first time we breached .0085 there were only 12k for lend. We were really close to another short squeeze (and watching the rates, there was one bigger and maybe two smallers).

Most shorters did a great job. Grin.

I guess this is just a taste of what´s coming. Short time maybe we restest .0065, who knows, but mid-long time, in absence of some cataclism like Polo been hacked, we are going direct to the Tannhauser door

I repeatedly said an honest and fair price for Monero is about $4 to $5 by this fall.
I think next year we may see $40.  I think by 2020 we will see $2000, and by 2030 we may see $100,000+.

I don't think anyone is loling at this quote now

Okay I'll go. LOL

I'm LOL-ing because it has come to pass (at least the first portion of his statement).

Does anyone see bitcoin having a small bubble, maybe to $2,000 and monero going 10x-1000x?

Or will bitcoin languish in a trading range, between $500 to $700, for the foreseeable future?

No, No .. and probably... No. Grin

Agreed...had a dream about this exact situation the other night.

I hope Agora adds XMR now and the other markets follow Oasis and AB.

No ones collecting a fund for marketing. Marketing is organic. People will start having their lives impacted by bitcoin's failings and seek better technology.

regarding kardashian, I'd rather have the Cardassians doing our marketing. Well not really. I just think its funny that the kardashians came after the cardassians

OK, back on topic. Where my bananas?

25 word seed on (archival? How crazy you want to get?) paper.  Simple.

Write the mnemonic seed on paper (or get fancy with a cryptosteel, or whatever you want) and store it in the safe, and save the .keys file that simplewallet generates on your USB.

Disadvantages to storing on a USB only:
- the drive could fail somehow
- you could forget your password to the wallet

By keeping the mnemonic seed written down somewhere safe, you can mitigate those unfortunate outcomes. When it comes to storing your money, I recommend using all precautions available to you.

Who is Kardashian? I have heard the name several times from different sources but never bothered to find out who is he...?
BitcoinMeister from Youtube I know but him I am not aware of.

--------------

Regarding price speculation there are some early, yet weak signs Monero will establish somewhere around 0.008 before the next leg which is hopefully upwards.

What I am happy for is the buy support is there, however still a little bit complaining the number of bitcoins chasing for Moneros (10 k btc bids as the bare minimum would be nice IMO and also build trust for the holders not to sell when they know the markets are liquid and they are able to sell whenever they need the money, not whenever there is demand).

If I had to guess I would guess this:

The global economy is sort of melting down at the moment. International trade is cratering with governments competing to devalue faster. Governments have been printing a lot and they probably will continue to. We havnt seen much price inflation in the consumer sector because most of the excess liquidity has gone towards creating price inflation in the stock, bond and real estate markets. They are in extreme bubble territory. Particularly the bond market with +14 trillion in sovereign bonds yielding incomprehensible irrational illogical negative interest rates. When these bubbles pop that capitalization is going to slosh into other places. The main two places for investors seeking safe haven liquidity will be precious metals for conservatives and crypto for progressives. When this title wave comes into crypto they arent going to know about anything besides bitcoin at first. So expect to see a massive jump in bitcoin with other cryptos lagging behind. Then they will start to research and become interest in alts and some of that capitalization will start to flow out of bitcoin and into altcoins.
