Anyone care to speculate on how xmrbtc would react to a new 10x runup in btcusd? I think we'd revisit 0.003 but then slingshot to 0.03 post-bubble. Or do so many of us expect this that it won't happen?

For this purpose you need XMR maximalists who are FOMOing of bitcoin.
It is not that probable in my books but defintely a good opportunity to enter into Monero when your bitcoins are expensive and you need to diversify. Fiat is not needed that much so Monero is indeed a viable choice.

It will slip if there is a HUGE runup, but probably maintain its dollar value. 

Then as people take profits, XMR's hedge reputation will see profits diversifying into it - slingshot time.

That said, a 10x BTC runup is not happening until some consensus over scaling issues is finally resolved and it may not be for a while yet.  The ETF will see a hike, when / if it happens.  But no 10x runup is certain. 

A working anonymous coin (which BTC is not) will look very appealing to people wanting to stow wealth privately which they make in any runup anyway.

Hold both and wait and see - but if you ask me, XMR will double in price easier than BTC will...

Monero is an independent project. Therefore it does not make sense to price Monero in a fixed BTC ratio. When Bitcoin goes up, the Monero/Bitcoin ratio needs to go down. And vice versa.

Monero is growing up and starts being independent. An XBT/USD price makes much more sense IMHO.

@Nivir. For me it will. It is just one of those things in trading altcoins. When you least expect it, it will then happen. We have seen this happen many times. It could also fall below 8 mBTC if the weakness continues. But it does not mean the happy days have already ended.

I will not spect too much on too much on this Altcoins and i will never put all my money Monero is independent and there a chance that monero will be dead (hope this speculation will not happen ) monero price now is really good for me 1 monero = $7.50 waiting for the price to be increase before i sell mine.

According to those numbers the current annual rate of inflation is 18% <=[(6 698*365)/13 575 000]

It's still way higher than the Bitcoin one, which is around 4.2%.

So we still have a long way to go.

You have to launch monero-wallet-cli (with that flag) from the command prompt. Please read the guide, there are instructions on how to do so in it.
