GREAT!! ... the next updates will hopefully fix the problems regarding ios users. I have faith that it all will be good in the future. Got my referral's gemz for android users so im happy. I have to figure out how to send a link or something in whatsapp to all my contacts at once.
Perhaps anyone knows how to do this?

I downloaded and installed getgems on an iphone. I tried to open it so i can setup phone number etc.... but gems crashes within 1 second and my phone goes back to the start page  
If i send this to my friends they'll probably think its fake or something...... ill wait a bit for this to be fixed. Thank you in advance

edit: Used iphone 5 ..... now updating to ios 8.3...perhaps then it will work?..

When I send a referral my friends just get a text that says "Hey, let's switch to GetGems %1$d"  Is anyone else getting this?  What am I doing wrong?  I'm using the new iOS app.

i think it would be smart to wait a few months, no need to rush adoption, otherwise you risk having users who will be driven off by the bugs. right now there are bugs that people can get frustrated about.

Very cool picture, these attention to details are nice to see. I mean you could just put the link but instead made a custom Gems image for r/bitcoin.

On a side note, when trying to invite, the list that shows up with their avatar means that they have or had Telegram. The issue is that those who i want to invite from this list are not active on telegram anymore but on WhatsApp, so i can't invite them. Any way how to invite people through Whatsapp? Also it would be useful to put a users referral link in settings so they can always copy it and share it elsewhere.

- You have to do something with the secret passphrase. One of my friends forgot to write it down, was logged out automatically with an update and cannot use it anymore now. He is quite pissed off and became from a follower (he installed it because I enthused him) to an Anti-Gems person. In the past, it gave you the option to save it as a picture. I think that was a good one.
- I still encounter problems when I want to transfer Bitcoin in the App to one of my friends. It gives the message: "hi, i've sent you x Bitcoins. To receive please download the GetGems app from....". This guy just installed Gems so it should work

Furthermore I still here from people that they are experiencing bugs. I will wait a bit until these issues are solved until I start promoting this App to the moon.  

My closest friends takes these things for granted, as they all invested some money in Gems as well, so they are heavily biased. But for newcomers, things have to work flawlessly and smooth

- Fees for Gems and BTC needs to be made clear.

- In wallet, make clear that there is also a BTC wallet, in Android the Gems and BTC are written next to each other so you know there is a BTC wallet present and have to swipe right to get to it.

- Add more currencies and the ability to make for example euro the default one just like in Android.

- See if BTC transactions are working properly.

- From the airdrop for your activity
- Because someone you invited joined the App
- Someone sent you Gems/Bitcoin

This notification could be just a buzz like if someone was sending you a message, but as soon as you open your wallet it starts 'raining' Gems/Bitcoin from the sky while on the side you see the number of Gems/Bitcoin you received. If you are in the App, this could just happen in the App temporary for a few seconds, afterwards everyting returns to its normal situation.

This is a bit like in Games, when you achieve a certain level or pass a tresshold and you get rewarded with tokens. People will recognize this and like this and I think it will also appeal to girls. In addition, seeing that it is raining Gems that are worth REAL money can be quite addicting.

We definitely agree, sending and receiving money is the "magic moment" in the app - in the last Android update we added “Cha-Ching” money transfer notification and we are working to make a fun visual effect.
