One block in last 8 hours Sad

Someone blow on the machines Smiley

The up and down hashrate on antpool is causing this. I also will not believe it does not affect their private network for Hashnest

I think I saw a graph someone posted earlier( found it on bittalk ) but when I go to antpool it looks pretty consistent over 50 ph ( I hope antpool is showing the correct hashing in their graphs )

Maybe I am looking at wrong graph.

And yes, if we get horrible luck when the pool is going up and down that isn't good at all if that is the case.

Edit- Maybe minerlink will be up soon and we can point away from antpool but will probably only be for ant5.   I bet you pacmic will not be able to use minerlink then again if the pool isn't running well with PACMIc we will get paid out without the maintenance so it would be in their best interest to fix it.

Keep up the good work.  Glad you guys didn't give in and things are almost back to 100% normal.

Sad to see when the ddos us our found blocks go way below average but I am sure you are learning and will continue making things better and offering more services

hi all

Maybe it's a stupid question , But to work a ddos attack need to focus on a static IP no ??

is possible to connect the pool using a different proxys ?? this way each time you change proxy you render the ddos inefficient ..

A DDOS attack targets the host servers of a website. It has nothing to do with your IP/machine. So using proxies/VPN's isn't going to change anything.

I'm not quite sure to understand . The ddos is targeting the pool or the webserver ?

Meaning the most important is the pool and does it have to always declare itself to bitmain and always use the same IP ?

I was just about to say I think people are starting to realize Ant s5 are sold out.

Been sold out for about 4 hours at least.

Think someone gobbled up the last 65 all at once.

I understand what you are saying but his question wasn't that far off.  331 ph of which we have 50 -60

If we say 55 we have about 1 6th of the total or about 16 %.

At 16% of the network you should find a block on average about 1 an hour almost exactly.

If my math is way off please feel free to point out where I am way off.  I have no problem being corrected as I would like to know for sure as well.

That is why when you start to go 2 blocks in 8 hours you kind of start thinking something is wrong.  Yes, you can also find 3 blocks in an hour also.. it is all about averages.

I didn't do the calculations but I am pretty sure we are below average atm and certainly have been below average for the past week. ( today is better )

We could as easily have a week of good luck ( averages Smiley ) ..... anyways I am sure we will see some good days soon, because days of bad luck need days of good luck also!  We can't have bad luck days and then horrible luck days only.

That would definitely mean something is wrong, still too early to tell but we are watching Smiley

Edit- I trust bitmain and believe they understand they are in a great market position if they do everything right.  You saw what happened to CEX, they had a gold mine but let it all fall apart.
The legitimate company that treats customers right and does not cheat them is going to be extremely profitable going forward when people know they can trust the name.  They probably would even get bought out at some point.  There are very few companies people trust with bitcoin, trust is going to be an extremely huge non tangible asset for the beginning bitcoin companies.

Bitmain own hashrate is 40 PH/s

They just do not care from other miners like my, with only  60TH/s an Antppool.

RIGHT! Just found it. It's a nice design and there are a lot of improvements in the website but it took me some time to get used to it. I also found out that I was loosing money because of UMISOO's fees for quite some time but I was still in profit when I cashed out.  Wink

Chunky, is antpool dedicated to hashnest? why do you assume all its hashrate is from hashnest?

Maybe your math is way off :-)

Antpool has a ph of around 55.  That is the combined hashing of Hashnest and all individuals that choose to use antpool.

It doesn't matter if it is hashnest or an individual outside of hashnest if they find the block through antpool that block gets divided between the antpool pool.

To be clear I know all antpool's hashrate is not hashnest.  Just like ghash.io was not all cex.io

However, again, when one of antpools contributors finds a block everyone on antpool shares the reward depending on how much they contributed.

Antpool is 55ph about.
The network is 331 ph.
Blocks on average are found every 10 minutes on average +or minus the change in hashing ( varies constantly ) power on the network since the last difficulty change.
