According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Restart complete - web back online.
There will be another (controlled) ckdb restart in about 40 minutes i.e. at around 22:15 UTC
No mining will be affected (as per normal with ckdb)
Web site will show lotsa '?' for about 10 minutes.
It will be just after the next shift summarisation.

More cool air? Smiley
Port number makes no difference unless you are having connection problems.

CKDB restart running - will complete in less than 5 minutes.
Cause is that the bug I fixed a while back that caused the crash 2 weeks ago was not in the code I've been rolling back to each time I've been testing the sequence changes on the pool.

Someone at 23.105.131.135 was screwing around with the API and the event checking code was doing it's job of stopping them ... but that also included the bugged code that crashes ckdb.
I've put the bug fix into the rollback version (that's now running) so that bug will not occur again.

Edit: restart complete 22:15 to 22:22 UTC

There should be a restart block soon!  Cheesy

The renters over on NH and WH have gone completely batshit crazy today...there is barely anything under 0.0032 available.  I hope all of the kano renters have what they need...

I had what I needed then they stopped all of a sudden.  Even the fixed ones.  Those assholes are assholes.  They could have waited an hour for those pool size orders to fill at the regular price.  Just screwed everyone else.  Screw it I'm holding speed at 0.00333 fixed only slightly less hash.   I'm not dropping my 5nd.  Those big orders are filing up, should go down soon.

Because it takes a day and half to ramp up your 5nd reward.  So you would start seeing a nice reward on the next block spree.  I had 1.15 in antpool the past 2 days it was 0.0018 and ghash had no blocks in two days so you would have not done that well.  What was your last shift speed on the last reward?

i would tend to agree with everybody saying that, so where does that leave your miner?

you sure you not seeing it as $1 a payout instead of $1 a day?
other than that your S7 is hashing at below s5 N Avg speeds.

@ 1.12THs, i'm seeing about 0.00317 BTC/day ~ $1.58

post the first couple of rows/lines in your rewards page and someone here will help decipher it.

The number one thing you have to do is stop comparing daily payouts.  There is still too much variance in a smaller pool for that to do anything but drive you crazy.  Think in terms of monthly payouts or as Phil says "think 100 Blocks".  Mine for 30 days to see where you stand compared to what you are used to getting.  Then you will see the value in this pool.  This is what I've gotten for the month of April so far for each TH running for me (actual):

Avg BTC/Day/TH - 0.00355051 (~$1.54 @ $433.82)

So for your S7 at 4.7TH it should yield approximately $7.24 per day if it had been running for the same 16 day period (78 Blocks) here on Kano  Cheesy  Be patient and the payouts will come.

Well, actually, unless you supply your username, I say you're trolling.

The 5Nd is currently ~30hrs, so mining for 3 days puts you WELL past the 5Nd ramp (more than a day)
I also sent 2 payouts when we got the double block 10 hours ago, before you posted, and in the last 24 hours before you posted, 7 payouts.

Aside: funnily enough, I actually caused the double block Smiley
Of course you can't cause a block on purpose, only in hindsight.
I sent the 407467 payout, when I awoke in front of my PC, and the next work item, with that transaction, found a block less than a minute later.
I sent the next payout 407468, a few minutes later, and the next block, with the payout in it, was 10 minutes later.
I was sure happy about it at 2:15 in the morning Smiley
