Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Noticed, needed to reboot 39 miners. Are you saying I should not put 1PH at Kano.de ?
Well, I don't expect to continue to have problems, but yeah 40 minutes after the problem was resolved, all got dropped for 1 minute. A few days back linode was going on about DDoSes to their network causing problems, then this issue the support reply was it was out of their control ... Though I will point out that linode support is full of morons who don't know what they are saying half the time. I had one guy a month or so ago telling me to reboot the linode to fix an MTR problem not at the node ... ... ... Anyone know a good server provider that doesn't way over charge for network costs? AWS and Google network prices are ridiculously high ... about 50x what I pay on the main pool server. The main pool server isn't linode of course and is very reliable, in a top of the line data center in Vegas. Well, it's happening again. Yep, you shouldn't be pointing it at the DE node. I'll post again when it's all been OK for more than an hour. Sorry if they have been mentioned previously but would a provider like OVH (mostly situated in France) be of use to possibly replace the issues with the DE node? OVH direct maybe expensive although you can get some great deals via Kimsufi (offer servers in both Canada and France that our hosted in OVH data centres): http://www.kimsufi.com/uk/servers.xmlNot really sure what kind of server you are after though.

Yeah...he's got that old fashioned cgminer running in a command window just for reporting blocks...we'll never beat him. Haha! I may have to fire up my old gpu miner if I want to have a chance at being first to report

Oh the irony replicator's block was found on the DE node ... in plain english that means what?? It means it was unusual that he hit that block when he was on the DE node since the DE node had been up and down like a yo-yo just before the block.

I may have to fire up my old gpu miner if I want to have a chance at being first to report You're giving away my Jedi secrets! So instead of saying the midi-chlorians speak to me and tell me when a block is going to hit, I should just fess up and say it's the cgminer. It's only good if I'm sitting in front of my workstation. Otherwise, I depend on vh's iPhone CKPool Stats and ZACHM's CKPool Monitor to get block and down-miner notifications! Those guys are the best!
