we are doing well.

I did a big order 2ph and we are now over 40ph as a pool.

CKPool:     40,194.80THs

Did you get a good price ? and is that a long rent ??

I did 1 hour at 2ph  rate was 0.003  which is meh.  but two fast blocks and I have 27 hours left on the 2 ph spike on my  shift chart.

I have gone in and out with bigger rentals for a month .  Really good timing with them so far.

Philip, I noticed you are often available to teach.
Would you tell us more about your strategy of renting from Nicehash to Kano ?

most importantly... when is the right "timing" -- i got lucky in the last earlier rounds but also missed big time by missing when to put in the big one.

Haha! That's a good one!  Trying to time when to do the "big rental" is just a big guess...sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don't.

Hello There, Kano! Great anime, especially the eyes! The last time Kano CKPool power grows, the number of blocks increases. Poole now finds on average 4-5 blocks a day. This week on the purse receives 30-40 payments that increases the size of the transaction and eventually (finally) leads to an increase in the size of the fee when you send BTC from the address which receives payment - in average transaction size increased by 1 KB from each 6.5 inputs. To reduce costs and save time as the pool and the miners offer to make payments once a day.
With heartfelt greetings, scopus ))

Meanwhile.... waiting for our coming blocks... some news.

I am moving my small farm to another location because my wife has "evicted" me from the house, with the S7s providing the noise pollution and the ETH rigs humming away, I knew that an "eviction notice" will come soon..... I may keep 1 x S7 online at home, and the rest will go to the new place - I am close to negotiating a good lease for a small private warehouse.

it always seems the men get evicted from the house with our hobbies or man caves. Yet the wife can have an arts and crafts/sewing room. wtf is that about.

I recently got evicted to the garage, it seems a 90 degree basement isnt acceptable. might just send them off to get hosted which will let me grow the amount i have and not catch crap for having yet another outlet installed..lol

Magic eight ball works best for me ...

Yeah pretty much a feel thing with rentals.

One exception to that is when we go over 200% it is a good time to start a rental if you are a 200th or less miner.

The reason is our high cdf is around 260%

So starting near that number means you would have a better chance to be the cdf leader if you hit the block.

right now the pool is at 216%   so if you can rent   at about .003   when we reach 250%

it is a better time  to be renting then if the pool was at 25%

I just did this rental on nicehash

 S #1224961   I spent  .045 for a 31.25 rental   when and if we go to  260%

I will be in position already  and will bump it to 1000ph  giving me a chance to get the avalon 6  or the extra coin

and also  if I were to hit back to back blocks  I could sweep since the first is high cdf the second would be low cdf

All odds are not easy to do this.  but  it makes up  for about .0002 or .0003  on the price of rental.

So  a .003 or  a .0031 even a .0032 rental price  during the    certain take  high cdf spot  of 260% in this case is worth it.

Normally if I rent out of the high cdf spot I look for a bargain rental.  I like spikes in my rental charts.

Thanks for the explaination about the high cdf strategy.

To the bargain rental strategy , do you use "standard" order (instead of "fixed" order) with a low price ? and you just wait for the spikes in the rental chart (when nh price decrease enough to reach your price)

Sorry if it sounds confusing , I'm new to rentals and try to understand how to make it works the best (mathematically of course, I was not asking about luck timing.).

so I do not worry, on the contrary, I would like to get paid less, not after finding each block ...

Which column are you using to arrive at the CDF figure, please? Is it the one's that are green (or other colors) with the heading of "CDF[Erl])?

So you are saying the best time to bump up a rental speed is when this number reaches 260%? Or is it another number you are referencing? Thank you very much for the information!! (I currently have a 290TH rental running now.)

I didn't even give her the opportunity to evict me Smiley   I still have a S5 in the basement but otherwise all of my gear is hosted.  It just made so much more sense (and the cost is identical to what I'm paying).

Yes I see that one.
Was the poster talking about the best time to do the rental was when the difficulty was closer to 250% or the CDF was at the highest?

Sorry for what may seem dumb questions, but I am new to this board.

Where exactly does one see what the current CDF is?

Description   Time            MeanTx%        Diff%         Mean%   CDF[Erl]                            Luck%
Last 5 Blocks   11.7hrs   101.1%        44.06%   44.06%   0.0728   226.95%

Would that be here in the red? Sorry for asking what must seem like simple questions to most people.
Thank you for your patience.
