OK, who's got the blocks today? Spit 'em out already. Baby needs a new pair of shoes.... Cheesy

Wow...that phrase brought back memories. Haven't heard "Baby needs a new pair of shoes" since the last craps game at Rosie's Bar in '66. Grin

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

LOL. It's been a rather slow day today compared to the last few. I thought I'd throw something out into the universe to give it a wiggle.  Wink

CKDB restart coming up in about 1 and 1/2 hours - roughly 23:30 UTC
No miners will be affected.
Web site will have lotsa '?' for about 10 minutes.

There should be a shift summary in the next few minutes, then 2 more after that will be the restart.
So it should be about 23:30 UTC

See below

CKDB restart now expected to be at roughly 00:25 UTC (an hour from now)

Good Morn all!

Maybe a stupid question, but why is my user name never listed on the shifts page under "Last 199 Shifts" and shift payouts?

I am getting rewards and payments. Just not sure what the shifts indicate on Kano. I know what they mean and how they work on other boards like BitMinter.

Thanks for any replies.
Hoping for a nice block day!  Wink
If you are mining to an address, it wont show on any account.

Edit: though if your mean you are seeing lines of shifts, then yes that is your data.
The shifts page shows the pool total data and your data in each row.

Thank you for the reply. But, no, I'm not mining to my BTC address. I'm using a username and the API. (Of course my BTC address is in the settings.)

I have just not seen my username listed in the list of shifts since I've been mining here - about 4 days.
Just curious. Thanks!

Nobody's name ever shows up in the list of shifts...they are only shift names kano made up from anime characters to represent the alphabet and they repeat over and over...forever.

The Pool is certainly not very friendly today so far in rewarding blocks to Pool members.

This is my first weekend being on this Pool and I took a look back at last Saturday and Sunday only, (which I know the past has no bearing on future luck.)

Last Sat/Sun were both 4-block days each.

Does anyone know with any empirical knowledge whether weekends tend to be below, at, or above average on average? Or is it all just one day as lucky as the next with the randomness of Pool blocks.

I would like to see at least one more block for the day. Hopefully, the restart will prove lucky again!  Grin

Good luck all!!

In the past few months we've gone from 105%-106% up to 107-108% over all luck, meaning we have been doing better overall. Don't think in 1-2 weeks, think overall. There will always be bad and good days, if you only focus on the short term you have a higher chance of leaving before the good days come.

Oh I agree with you 100% and wasn't intending or meaning to be thinking short term. I was just curious if anyone has discovered or seen any sort of pattern for weekend behavior.
I have only been on the Pool maybe 4 full days and certainly wish I had been mining here from when I first started.
I would have a LOT more coins in my pocket.

I will be staying here. Now I wish I could hit my first ever block here one of these days.

I only have two newer S7's of my own in the spare bedroom and tend to rent hash for additional power - usually a couple 100TH for 2-3 days in a row, usually on a rolling basis.
Wish me luck as I wish the whole Pool luck as we all benefit! Smiley

Good luck all!!

think in  50 + 100 block segments

the pool is really really really really good at the   50 and 100 block points

Last 50 Blocks   10.3days   101.1%   83.70%   83.17%   0.1119   120.23%
Last 100 Blocks   21.4days   101.0%   86.76%   86.58%   0.0848   115.50%

current number for last 50 and last 100 blocks

At Kano  can you pm me the data for this block by block

Block Statistics

Description   Time   MeanTx%   Diff%   Mean%   CDF[Erl]   Luck%
Last 5 Blocks   1.3days   100.8%   117.71%   117.71%   0.6993   84.96%
Last 10 Blocks   1.8days   101.2%   79.38%   79.38%   0.2758   125.97%
Last 25 Blocks   5.7days   101.1%   95.09%   95.09%   0.4276   105.16%
Last 50 Blocks   10.3days   101.1%   83.70%   83.17%   0.1119   120.23%
Last 100 Blocks   21.4days   101.0%   86.76%   86.58%   0.0848   115.50%
Last 250 Blocks   8.3wks   101.2%   89.86%   89.95%   0.0522   111.17%
Last 500 Blocks   31.8wks   101.1%   88.92%   89.69%   0.0088   111.49%

All - Last 826 Blocks   83.2wks   100.9%   90.33%   92.41%   0.0130   108.21%

I want to show a 50 and 100 block set of lines rolling backwards

ie at block 826

 Last 50 Blocks   10.3days   101.1%   83.70%   83.17%   0.1119   120.23%
Last 100 Blocks   21.4days   101.0%   86.76%   86.58%   0.0848   115.50%

at block 825

at block  824

at block  823

I would then incorporate it into the why aren't you mining at kano thread.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1338693.0

I think if I show the 50 and 100 numbers backward for the last year people can begin to understand they need to be mining here.

Aw, crap, CK...I couldn't stop laughing. I taught stats & research methods in grad school...hated the stats, loved the research stuff, but was paid well, and once in a great while I'd get a student like you or Kano...and life was sweet for that semester...  Cool
