Finally!!!

BLOCK!!!

Let's get a few quick blocks now!
and the pending payouts came in confirmed, i wonder if that is part of the new code

Yes it could - very likely - unless Kano is awake at 3am in morning....  Shocked

If I provided you good and useful info or just a smile to your day, consider sending me merit points to further validate this Bitcointalk account ~ useful for future account recovery...

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

rentals cannot possibly work on multiple occasions.
I understand the 'rush', but they are useless to make money, in my opinion.

Not as useless as buying a machine before the halving that will never ROI.  I've dropped 140th to 40th this past week, but I won't go below 20th.  I've bought 1 BTC plus I'm running one sp20 since January and I have had 16BTC in payouts.  Em sounds good, if you know when drop speed and let go.  Pull in the coin. I'm not so good at that part, just growing speed.   I just have a hashing addiction though and I do long rents. I'll rent from people off of the rental sites too. So it has potential.  You run rigs you owe for power in bad luck plus roi, but you have your rig left.  They are not useless, but I don't understand the rush either.  Making a big deal and rushing drives the price up substantially.  Rentals work on every lucky day though, because they make money over cost.  So they must work on multiple occasions since lucky days will come. A 300 percent day at 100th is pretty nice when only paid to rent 3 days.  In my opinion they are useful to make money, but I don't understand the rush.  The rush drives up the price.  You will make money and you will lose money.  You always got some comeback coin if don't go crazy though.  Look forward to the new avalon rigs so I can be less of a renter though.

You said it, man.
everybody has their own 'thing'. My form of gambling for a long while was trading on the stock market.
I am not criticizing those who rent, but when doing so understand that you basically gamble on continuing pool outperformance during your rent.
I am steady on kano's since january and it was nice.
I prefer this to ups and downs of renting fortune.
Those who rent, write down an honest account of how much you spent and how much you gained-if you did it many times and then see if it is worth doing. One or few times you can get lucky, of course.

Yowza! Block...mahalo (thx) omtest...baby got new shoes! (Well, so long as they don't cost more than USD$4.56)  Grin

That diff is out there in the Kuiper Belt, though.

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

That block got me 0.400btc on the rental.
I was half ramped on a 12 hour 1ph rental. Back to my comfort zone 300th.
Seems like three 333th rentals are cheaper to rent than one 1ph rental.

More blocks right now would be excellent.

For those about to block we salute you! AC->BTC

i have always thought that steady for the long run is best and all don't panic withe emails so much  Wink

{I wrote this reply early this morning while still being awake from watching TV, browsing on-line, and drinking wine all last night/this morning, it was written, but I never hit the "Post" button. In all fairness, here it is. Whether it makes much sense or not  Grin}

i have always thought that steady for the long run is best and all don't panic withe emails so much  Wink

I have never felt the word "panic" applied to me - as I'm not - but more like self-preservation when it comes to rentals that run and run until they are gone with nothing to show.
if I hadn't canceled earlier when I did, I would have nothing to show but a deeper hole and less coins.

I'm happy where I am now with about ~10TH currently running and knowing I'll have another S7 online by the end of this next week.

I'm ready for blocks, they just aren't ready for me at this time. I hope and pray the stats board becomes less like a bull charging cape and more like an all systems GO green zone.
Best wishes to all and the pool.

Let' rip out 6-10 blocks before anyone knows what's happening. Not too hard, been done before.

All good things in all good time.
Jerry says so! Grin

{That stats page sure looks MUCH scarier now. At least another block came in that cleared a few waiting in confirmation. My S7-only machines without rentals actually didn't do too poorly. Not earth shattering, but it brought in 0.05168220 ( or approximately $23.39 at the current rate).

Good morning (afternoon) all. Lets hope for some blocks today. We deserve them!!

Just found out for sure what batch number the S7 I bought online last night is. It's a batch 16 with one fan.
I wasn't expecting that.
I guess I shall find out how it performs and if it needs extra cooling.  Huh
As long as it puts out TH without temp issues, I'll be fine with it.

edit: Anyone else on here have the batch 16?

I have two. They run 10-15C hotter than the B9 I've got, 10C hotter than my S2, and 20C hotter than an S3. I've a bunch of ambient CFM pointed at them, and they're running a consistent 70-79C on all three boards. They're also at least 15db noiser; the fan runs at 6K rather than the 4K on the earlier 2-fan models. Watch your temps for a couple of 24hr cycles just in case. They're mining just fine, though. Will be ordering two more in a couple of days before my coupons expire. That'll max out my flat for sure.

Rebooted my entire s7 iron (28) to see if I can help my best share rate. Has been locked in at 1 or 2gh for all miners ( some lower).
Can't get a block with that worthless best share.
Ran 1ph rental all night (12 hours ). Wiped out half of my rental btc wallet. Trying to kick the blocks along for the pool.

Hmm, how much is "kill temperature" on miner?

I have a problem child s7 that does the same thing. The s7's all around it are in the low 60's and it will read 75-78.
