Well I restarted my 4 S3+ on top of my 4 S5 Smiley

That's my max.

Saving my BTC to get a discounted S7 at the end of the month hopefully.

But for that... we need blocks Sad

Those 2 firmwares are not official firmwares for the S5`s.
I need the unofficial build of S5 firmware, if any one got them ?

log in ssh (root/admin)

Code:
cd /usr/bin
mv cgminer cgminer.bak
wget http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/antminer/s5/4.9.0-150105/cgminer
chmod +x cgminer
/etc/init.d/cgminer.sh restart

note this is not persistent and will revert to 4.8.0 (or whatever the S5 FW has) after a power outage

Thanks Champ.
I got a firmware with cgminer 4.9.0 that stays after reboot, its the 4.9.1c and 4.9.2 that I want to try out, since they should work even better than the 4.9.0

Maybe you can do the same with the url of 4.9.1c or 4.9.2 ?

As this is not persistent, if it doesn't work just power off/on ?

Everybody has been throwing big PH at the pool for exactly the amount of time we have had bad luck.  Not saying they are necessarily related, but it's not quite pushing unless you can hold it longer.  Chinese pools went up 3-400 petahashes collectively, not sure there is enough on NH to push past that arsenal increase.  I feel like they will get the blocks until the new miners are busy confirming then we get our turn.   I know I can't throw down on a push until some blocks come in.  Bad luck every 5.5 days is what Kano said.  Sometimes you just gotta wait your turn man.  We get pretty good luck when it comes in.

Well, the bad luck began around the time my bitcoind started crashing every 15 to 30 minutes complaining about truncated blocks.  My reindex will be complete in about 35 minutes-- maybe then luck can resume.

correlation != causation

I have between 20TH to 35TH pointed at this block depending on rental conditions.  That's small compared to those of you renting petahashes, but every little bit helps.

I think all we did with this rental surge is piss off all those who had small to medium rentals running on a regular basis.  Still no block and now everything from 0.0032 down is drying up on WestHash.

That's because of the two orders totaling 9PH paying 0.0033.  9.5% over expected earnings.  Wow.  Whoever owns the equipment behind the scenes is partying right now.

Jonny's Pool - Mine with us and help us grow!  Support a pool that supports Bitcoin, not a hardware manufacturer's pockets!  No SPV cheats.  No empty blocks.

its good to see we can power through an almost 500% block in 27 hours.

That block would have taken ages just a couple months ago.
