I'm simply asking where @philipma1957, who was talking about his strategy for renting hash once the 250% level was reached, got that number from? I may have complicated the question all over the place but just wanted to know what his signal was (and where on the website it's located) for bumping up the hash rental as I would like to try that strategy. If it's a simple answer I appreciate it. If not so simple I understand and thank you anyway.

Just be careful playing the rental game...the margins are razor thin even if you guess right and if you guess wrong it can cost you some coin. The funny thing is whenever the block gets really long and several kano miners throw up 1PH or 2PH each, the block is usually hit at the end by some small kano miner with 24THs or an large miner who keeps a even, steady hash anyway.

Yes, I have seen that happen before on other pools. I'll throw out 500-750TH of rental and the block gets found by someone with 9TH. LOL I know it's all a gamble. Thanks for the reminder.

Block! ) by MaxSettings ~103,658,251,721
And just like that all block stats are green, or at least >100%! Keep calm and mine on! I know this is wayyyyy old - but I've been so slammed with work over the past month I haven't even had time to lurk. I was about 60 pages behind on the forum and I almost did a spit-take when I saw this! All I can say is that I'm so glad to have found a block for the pool, and with a rental no less (if it had been my lonely S3 I'm pretty sure I would have passed out, ha!). And with that - let's put this current block to bed - maybe the Westhash side of my rental can pick it off this time? This is high CDF for April now, yeah?

Hello There, Kano! Great anime, especially the eyes! The last time Kano CKPool power grows, the number of blocks increases. Poole now finds on average 4-5 blocks a day. This week on the purse receives 30-40 payments that increases the size of the transaction and eventually (finally) leads to an increase in the size of the fee when you send BTC from the address which receives payment - in average transaction size increased by 1 KB from each 6.5 inputs. To reduce costs and save time as the pool and the miners offer to make payments once a day. With heartfelt greetings, scopus ))
yes. +100500 one payment per dey i believe autopay is still in the works. i know kano has been busy with other updates. dont worry you will get your btc, usually when he wakes up. Meanwhile.... waiting for our coming blocks... some news.
I am moving my small farm to another location because my wife has "evicted" me from the house, with the S7s providing the noise pollution and the ETH rigs humming away, I knew that an "eviction notice" will come soon..... I may keep 1 x S7 online at home, and the rest will go to the new place - I am close to negotiating a good lease for a small private warehouse.
it always seems the men get evicted from the house with our hobbies or man caves. Yet the wife can have an arts and crafts/sewing room. wtf is that about. I recently got evicted to the garage, it seems a 90 degree basement isnt acceptable. might just send them off to get hosted which will let me grow the amount i have and not catch crap for having yet another outlet installed..lol I didn't even give her the opportunity to evict me I still have a S5 in the basement but otherwise all of my gear is hosted. It just made so much more sense (and the cost is identical to what I'm paying). Marital bliss! Well...I gave up men for Lent in 1983, but that's another story...I'm assuming most of youz guyz here are guyz...seems so...and all I can say is your wives are missing out on a whole lotta fun and games, if not pin money (as my late mom used to call it...my mom was a codebreaker...so she'd probably be rebuilding the basement herself). But then, I've never been the "normal" kinda gal, either, so I'll leave the comment at that. No worries...I get a really good chuckle when I hear these. Mine on!

So a rental right now has added value since if you hit the block you become the leader of the high cdf contest. notice I used high % and high cdf they have a relationship as one can convert them in either direction. So you want to be the leader in one since it means you are also the leader in the other. here I am right now. philipma1957second 39.47TH so if I go higher to 200th right now it would be smart. see what i just did because i would now be the contest leader in: high % and high cdf so I moved from 31 to 250 see here below:

all you have to do is sweep your wallet to a new address every couple of weeks. you can do so with the default fee since its not really a time sensitive thing and you are essentially sending the bitcoin to yourself. this will lower the amount of inputs on your new address and let you send bitcoin from that wallet faster.

I did not know this.. Do we just send it to the same wallet but a new address? Or it has to be a completely new wallet/install? you should be able to just generate a new address and then transfer all your bitcoin to it.. some have a sweep option.. not sure what wallet you use. makes life easier because when you want to send bitcoin you can usually do it faster with just 1 or 2 large inputs instead of 50 small ones. most newer wallets automatically sweep the address every time you send, making a new return address. you dont have to change your kano payout address.

Like I said, my brother...no worries. No need for apologies, either. All of you are a blast to commiserate with. I'm single (at 67) by choice...I find my service dog and two cats easier to live with, and they don't mind the datacenter in the living room. I'd be in real trouble though if they learned how to type. I'm here because I find intelligent conversation hard to come by these days, and miners are, on the whole, a cut above in that category or they wouldn't be doing this...and if they're really not quite as bright as they believe they are, they won't be doing this for long as they'll run themselves into the ground financially looking for the golden goose. I'm also here because mining has become the underpinning of my future retirement survival, and to keep that goal in perspective requires discourse with folks outside your immediate environment, who can be objective without worry of offence. Sounds like your wife has a keeper. Here, Ampy, Ampy!

Anybody else having rentals orders failing on NH/WH?
My S3 seems fine... Maybe a problem on their end. Although my NH side showed a bunch of invalids before cutting out so I thought maybe a restart or something was happening.

I have also upped my hash rental to 250TH just hoping someone finds a block(s) in the time left on the rental ~10hrs. Since the pool hasn't found a block in over 16 hrs, I hope something pops up! It would be nice to find a block of my own! I have never found a block in the short time I have been mining.

I have been having better luck using the NH Europe even though I'm on the US East Coast. I have noticed a lot of red today meaning rejected by the pool. But, it works out better than West Hash for some reason. YMMV. PS. I did have some disconnects earlier saying pool difficulty too low. But it straightened out after a few minutes.

All of my NiceHash orders pointed at DE just started getting 100% rejects. My WestHash orders pointed at the main pool are perfectly fine. Is something happening with DE right now?
Edit: The rejects are indicated by NiceHash, but I don't see any issues indicated on the Kano.is workers page and the rentals appear to be functioning.
