I wonder if Kano has ever considered a private pool? For those of us who are here through good luck and bad. It's amazing seeing ph jump when we are on a lucky streak. Only to drop when bad luck his.

unfortunately the way luck works is if you join AFTER the luck increases you were too late to benefit from it.

It depends on when you get in. Nobody knows when the luck will stop.

I would like to see that 5.5 Ph\s miner hit something.  Right now they are making a tidy bit from the pool but we don't yet know if they are really contributing.

Back to Back Block #8 !

What a surprise waking up to this long awaited 8-block streak!

Still a few more hours to end of day UTC.... common 11 blocks is just around the corner!

If I provided you good and useful info or just a smile to your day, consider sending me merit points to further validate this Bitcointalk account ~ useful for future account recovery...

Well #9 will confirm the next 3 payouts.
They came due while I was asleep and I then spent an hour this morning getting everything going again coz my desktop stopped just after I went to sleep and the pool wallet often takes 5 minutes to process a network block ...
Yep I do sleep Smiley

Came back from CERT training/recertification to two new blocks...I guess I should maybe do that more. Beats eating chicken.  Undecided

EDIT: ...and if I remember correctly, the pool grew by 10PH while I was out showing people how to use a fire extinguisher and crib up a collapsed concrete wall...I guess I really DO need to go do that more often. Fire One (the FD chief) wouldn't mind, I'm sure. I'm volunteer...no overhead.  Grin

And we do know you sleep, Kano...we just can't figure out where the heck you find the time to do it. You're a keeper, kid.

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

Block solvers do not get an extra reward.

My math is crap but if you run 80TH you should be on top of this already

PPLNS here is based on 5N - so it averages your performance over a longer period than "n" i.e. about 2 days previous to hitting a block.

Your rewards - all depend on the luck of the pool.

Pool has good luck - you earn more.
Pool has bad luck - you earn less.

As an example (and assuming you have been mining at 80TH for 2 days previous) these are some guesstimates of your daily earnings (based on my actual earnings here).

Yesterday at 80TH - you would have earned about 0.512 BTC (8 blocks)

The day before at 80TH - you would have earned 0.192 BTC (3 blocks)

On average - if the pool has 100% luck you might earn approx 0.256 BTC +/-  (based on a particular point in time yesterday - 4 blocks - but as hash keeps increasing lately on the pool your per block payout decreases but the number of blocks SHOULD increase - my math falls apart at this point)

The luck here seems to usually be over 100% - so you might hope for slightly better.

A clear comparison with F (something) Pool (PPS at 4% fee) which currently pays  0.00248538 BTC/TH - you would earn 80 x 0.00248538 = 0.199 BTC approx if they actually paid out to this figure.

Hope that helps - cheers - usukan

Im currently only running a few stick miners on CKPool so my payments are very low.
The site states "Dust payments below 0.00010000 BTC are not sent out yet."

I've earned just over the total minimum, but not in one payment.
What do I have to do to actually get this deposited in a wallet?
Do I have to wait for it to hit a certain total? Do I make a request somewhere?
Should I wait until I have a certain amount before I get paid if Im paying a transfer fee?

Very new to all this and any help is greatly appreciated!

Well it looks like your headed in the right direction if ya got the miners mining to this pool and all. However stick miners are way too little to make any BTC. I started with a U3 miner (still run it with cgminer) and have some dust payments sitting there too. Its just to little for the pool to screw around with is my take. If you look at the whole network or pool hash rates and what those stick miners do i think you will know what i mean. Well good luck.

BLOCK!!

The payout dam has burst its seams!!!

Edit: oh no..... it didn't wait for the last 2 in queue, so close.... but no cigar!
Edit2: oh yes..... #411773 is also paid out! Wow... so many BTCs, its like hitting a mini jackpot in Vegas!

Unless it's at least a few dollars, I'm not gonna do a manual dust payout until ...
... some time in a galaxy far far away, once I implement 'accounting'
i.e. when the pool knows your actual balance.

At the moment payouts are straight forward, you get part of a block based on your work and that covers what you're owed.
The only things missing from that are dust, and accounts that have forgotten to set a payout address.
In the latter case, people contact me once in a blue moon and I do a manual zero fee txn from the 'more than dust' pool wallet balance of their unpaid total (well above dust) amount.

The dust itself, well think of it this way ... by the time you finally get it, it may actually be worth something Smiley

Thx for the reply Kano!
I wouldn't ask for a payment unless I had a few dollars worth of bitcoin anyways,
I just wanted to make sure that if I bought another couple miners and kept earning some dust in the meantime,
that I would eventually be able to accumulate some payment.
