Gonna throw in a quick CKDB restart in about 15-20 minutes (after the next shift summary occurs) I need some stats from the live pool for the change I'm working on, so the restart will include code showing those stats. No miners will be affected. Web site will have lotsa '?' for less than 10 minutes.
CKDB restart complete it took 11.75 minutes 12:17:16 to 12:29:00 UTC The shift end ended up being JUST before 12:00 by 50 seconds (as you can see for the '6gbng xenovia' shift) so it had to reload an extra hour of data. You'll also notice on the Pool Stats page I've added the CKDB uptime. Way cool. Makes watching das blinken litez and listening to the boogity-boogity machines (that's from an old favorite comic from back in the hazy days of the 70s) all the better...and, of course, finding more blocks. Back to back...sheesh...I still have just one to hitch up to in this BTC lifetime. Off now to a day of annual recertification for the CERT/Fire Dept (Community Emergency Response Team). Have fun, guyz...and maybe two more blocks, please, to come home to and celebrate surviving the training. That would be more than WAY cool.

Sold my S7 because to loud and too expensive to run but I couldn't stay away, so bought an S3 a few weeks back just for fun. Well, my mining itch needed a little more scratching so I bought an S5 which I just brought online. I must be nuts! Now I'm mining with less efficient hardware! Ha! Not too bad though - I'm still using less watts then before so it's an affordable hobby.
Six blocks today - wahoo! Keep it going!

and setting the s-7 to freq 400 with fans at 25% was no good?

and setting the s-7 to freq 400 with fans at 25% was no good? Probably would have been just fine but I wanted to recoup as much of my investment cost as I could because I paid $1100 for the S7 (way cheaper now). The S3 cost me $37 & the S5 with 1000w PS was $152, so my investment cost is now low enough that I can consider the miners "toys" and I have net $500 back in my pocket. I'll probably underclock the S5 to get the watts below 500 and to quiet it down a little bit.

I wonder if Kano has ever considered a private pool? For those of us who are here through good luck and bad. It's amazing seeing ph jump when we are on a lucky streak. Only to drop when bad luck his.

unfortunately the way luck works is if you join AFTER the luck increases you were too late to benefit from it.
