Well to be more specific Smiley

Bitmain is the largest and worst competitor of every person who buys miners from them.
And they apparently can't set up an e-mail service either.  I've been getting the same coupon notice once a minute for the last 2+ hours from them. and they're still coming in.
According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Had a failover/fail back 'event' on the Silicon Valley half of the main stratum server at 08:50 UTC
This is caused by the fact that a node requires a permanent connection to the main pool server and if it disconnects and reconnects immediately, it kicks everyone off the node and they reconnect i.e. failover/fail back (which takes cgminer 5 minutes)

A lot of the miners on stratum.kano.is will have failed over to their 2nd pool and will have already failed back.
Reminder to make sure your 2nd pool is another kano.is node so that if this happens, you simply failover to your 2nd pool node for 5 minutes then back again.
Thus you hardly notice any gap in your submitted shares.

Must be something in the air. My internet service bottle necked the signal around 6 UTC, then again at 7 UTC. Strange thing was, it only affected 1 miner at a time.
Did a reboot, because it seemed I was getting alot of rejects. All looks good now.

What part of the globe is the node for stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333??? Curious if I should switch to nya.

Yeah the failover and failback seems to have changed all the difficulties for the miners and threw more invalids. First time I've ever been higher than the pool invalids.

It could be a problem with the service too. I had very little connection around 1am and 2am. I live about 1.5 miles away from our "tower",
but being out in the middle of farm fields, probably doesn't help. From our "tower" to the main "tower" is about 50 miles, might be getting
delayed in there somewhere.

EDIT: 2hrs uptime with, 1 reject, and ALOT less hardware errors.

Cheap is relative, based on your power costs.  V9's only make sense right now if your power is hovering around "free."

I believe most of my hw errors are from, temperature/fan timing, and network delays. I also see 1 board more than others
sometimes. In cgminer, and awesome miner, it shows independent temps per board , and if 1of them takes longer than
the set time to "warm up" in operating range, it throws an error. Vise, versa, if it takes too long to cool down when it runs
too hot.

These are most of the errors I've dealt with. I expect them to be better, once the miners are in my basement. They are
out in the ole 30°f garage until then.

I have a s9 fan that has some vibration and is getting hot. If I purchase from bitmain by the time I get a replacement with shipping the fan will be approx $27us each. I see a few options on ebay but I'm wondering about the cfm. Can anyone recommend a vendor for replacement fans in the US?

Depends on your location, but...
This is the closest unit I've been able to find that ships soon/reasonable. What I've found on eBay takes a slow boat to the States.  Sad
