if i only had the cash i would buy the s7 off of you but  i dont have that kinda btc at this time

good luck in your sale

Thanks, my friend. Hopefully I'll get $700 and I'll only be down $200, but it was worth the fun!

Have you considered a colocation facility? It will cost you about $110 a month

Have you already listed it on eBay?  You hope to get $700 but there will be $100 in eBay and PayPal fees.  Sending your S7 to a data center is a viable option.  I have my 7 at Toomim Brothers in Washington state and I love it.  The $110 fee was way less than my electrical cost and I have direct control of all 7 machines (I'm in Virginia).  It also eliminated the cooling and noise problem I was having.  Jonathan Toomim and his team are top notch at the hosting business and I can highly recommend them.  And you can continue with our top notch team here on the kano pool!

What do they charge per Kwh? Also any setup or handling costs after the fact? I have a bunch at Sidehack but he's full now and need colo for 4 s7's and possibly 8 A6's. Just checking

I have a few at OregonMines besides sidehack's, OM charges $97 for 8+ batch or $88 for B7 or lower S7s. No other fees except for onetime VPN setup fee.

Looks like OM is now 102 for new S7, and 88 for prior to Batch 8. Based on my math thats almost 12 cents a Kwh. Not that great, Sidehack is 9 cents Kwh, wish I could send him more hardware, but he's full. Paying 9 cents a Kwh a new s7 should be $80/mo and older s7 $65-70 while a A6 should cost ya $60/mo. Again, maybe my math is off

Yeah, I missed the days (although very short) when I was getting 0.11BTC with only 52 TH.

Haha!  Reminiscing...this is what I got back in December for about 20THs as I was adding to my hash rate.  The payouts were insane!  Of course I make more now but the per block earnings makes it seem lower!

I know how you feel.  Even the big dogs feel smaller.  Just 2 days ago I can get 1.65BTC for almost 1900TH vs 1.33 at current 35PH.  On the positive side, it allows us to get thru them NASTY teeth grinding LONGGG  blocks faster which helps reduce our Anxiety.  It's also nice to wake up to 5 blocks, we just need to get over the hurdle where it slows down after the 5/6.  Let's hit a few more before Game time is over.  =)

I believe Wolfen have many of them hosted at a DC but the heat is not bad if you funnel the heat out.  If you don't, even 2-4 S7 can cook your garage.  If you funnel it out and install a heat shield (simple cheap heat resistance foam) to block the exhaust heat from coming back to your intake fan of the S7, you can have 100+ and still only need 1 high CFM FAN and your indoor ambient temp won't be that much hotter than outside.  I've tested this configuration in my garage before deploying similar data center designs with my partners.  Granted you're allowing equal CFM worth for new intake air to come in.   Hot air rise so the outlet vent / funnel is best on top (I vent thru my attic).  Without funneling and heat shield for maximum efficiency, you will need much more high power CFM fans to hopefully produce to the same results.   I spent so much money on the latter solutions before I learn about the funneling trick from MarkAZ's design.  No AC required either.

I made a graph to follow my reward evolution:

X Axis: time with my Gh/s
Y Axis left: total BTC earned
Y Axis right: BTC earned per block

(Tiny amounts as I have only 1 S5 and 2 S3+ (and a couple of U3))

It's pretty steady given that I have a tiny fraction of big pool that is growing.

so less per block but more block = same reward progression...

I like the Chart Zou.  Growth is good.   I think that's the most fun about Mining, the tracking of the rewards, progressions, etc.   My son who is 9 actually downloaded an App call Bitcoin Billionaire............ he said got a few S3s now.  I thought that was interesting.  Kano should have partner with that Developer and allow them to virtual mine on Kano pool in that game too.   =)

EDIT :  Although I just downloaded that APP, and played with it for a few mins and I don't see any reference to Antminers at all.  Maybe he's pulling my legs.

bed no but i am going to have to start repairing these playstation 1 / 2 / atari 2600 / nintendo / and xbox 360's soon so that will have my time for a while

one question. Why?

secondly: getting to work and seeing that 5 blocks were found definitely makes the day at a crappy job better. unfortunately the power company doesnt take btc as payment so a day job is a must.

i run a buy sell trade booth at a local flea market here in missouri

Ahh too bad you weren't closer to me in NJ .

I have a ton of stuff to get rid of.

Ditto. 1/2 one of my garages is full of .... stuff..
I don't want to talk about it, I have soooo much crap.

two sheds.
a short attic.
½ of a two car garage.
and a dry crawl space.

Most likely 3 or 4 k worth or stuff maybe 5k.

but at least a week to clean and sort  and I am too lazy to do it.

You see that garage show on DIY network
or the  attic treasures show.

I would not mind them coming to my home.

spring is right around the corner... rummage sales and yard sales.... bitcoin accepted here.... :-)

Ya don't have to move the stuff far.... and if it dosent sell, scrap it. Tear em apart. Separate the sheet aluminum from the extruded aluminum, all steel and screws separated, circuit boards into another bin, wire into another, power supplies - strip them....

I just did that to a pile of block erupter cubes, BFL SC60's, GardenBTC blades, Avalon 1's and 2's and any other miners I deemed ... doomed.

Next on my recycle list is this pile of Gridseed 5 chip miners... unless someone here wants to buy em....

That sounds like me Boom.  Buy sell trade repair.  I can think of reason to keep everything.  Stacks of stuff to fix, full storage spaces rented.  Can't wait to get through it and just have my test equipment and stacks of old miners.  Will you guys link me to the thread you sold on?  I'd like to see how that goes down.  I probably hoard to much.  Glad to see a day block again, no mas vampire pool.

Wow... N Range is almost down to 24 hours now!  It is actually going to hurt my payments a little when I take the rig down for an hour this weekend to move it to the garage.  I can't get any more winter heat out of the rig when temps are in the 70s here.  While winter lasted I managed to comfortably heat 2400 sq ft with 5 miners at full speed without running any other heat, but now it is getting quite uncomfortable.

I have another Avalon6 on the way.  When it arrives I'm dropping the hash rate on my SP20s to get the last couple weeks on the pool out of them (Instead of moving from 10TH to 13.8TH, I'll be going to 12TH for a bit before dropping to 7.5TH when I retire them).  I haven't decided if I will sell all of my SP20s or keep a couple around on minimal settings as solo lottery machines until the halving.  Two of them require SD cards to run and one has been serviced (repaste) which is going to ding the price I can get by a bit.  All four run great but only one is still in original condition.  I expected to sell these months ago, so I'm really surprised that I still have them running profitably after 14 months.

Well guys, as much as I love mining with my one S7 (and this pool is awesome!!) , 14.5 cents per Kw is just too expensive for me to hang in there. It's really fun watching those payments come in, but alas, my little noise maker is now for sale on eBay via a 3 day auction.  Undecided
Well shoot, if I didn't just buy an Avalon6 I would have made you an offer on the S7.  I ended up going with the Avalon6 because of how they support kano and ck and cgminer.  I want to support companies that support the good guys, and Avalon seems to be just that.  I will be pointing it here to kano.is, maybe a couple smaller pools, too, on the side.

so to run 4 s7s and 3 s5 plus the rest of my house its 350 a month.
Consider yourself lucky, it would cost me just about that much to run 1 S7 from home.  I will have my Avalon6 hosted.
