Did the pool have a hiccup a few minutes ago?
I failed over to the solo pool for a small amount of time. But now back to the main pool.
Now the solo pool is showing dead in my miners...  Huh

looks ok - could have been a brief event.

see -ck's notice in solo thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=763510.msg15246307#msg15246307

.... and BLOCK #5 by Joker!

No pool issues.
Yeah the solo pool was out of action for about 10 minutes, but that has no effect on your mining here.

... but just 5 mins ago, the DE node is now having problems.
Same linode and same place DE, this time, as where the solo problem was before.
Seems it was my connection to the DE node, since the hash rate didn't seem to have dropped once I was able to get at it again.
All OK again.

Yesterday we watched our football team lose... And the pool was still stuck working on that 279% hard block... No luck nowhere.
I've just got up and saw +6 Blocks  Shocked
I'm joining the common joy dance right now))

And i  think there is no need to change the payout system. If someone wants to fill his exchange account with larger but less frequent portions - just use your own wallet... What's the problem?

The problem is that people invest heavily without taking 10 minutes to google 'bitcoin wallet safety'...

Whatever happened to the 'if you don't have the private key(s), you don't own your coins!'-spam?

Agree that I'd prefer we not change the payout system. As a small-time (and new) miner, the payout system here is one of the key reasons CKPool first caught my eye. (I've since learned to appreciate much more and have come to appreciate the beauty of the minimal UI.) I, too, am a Coinbase user, but recently switched wallets based on conversation in this forum. I'd advise you to use one of the many other wallets fully under your control (and not one managed by an exchange).

It's "macOS" now... everything old is new again  Wink

A question, maybe a bit off-topic... I'm thinking about buying a S9, do you think it would be better to pay for it in BTC or fiat? I ask because the BTC price has been rising lately...

That is under the .0001 payout threshold...

I have dust laying around as well (from the 5N buildup) -- not sure when or if Kano sweeps the dust...

I'm sure it is accounted for properly however...

kano does not sweep the dust and pay it out.

he's on record saying that maybe some day in the far far future that'll happen (probably around when he gets to autopayouts if im guessing).

it doesn't go away and it is always there.  If you have enough and ask nicely he may pay it out.

Yes, agree with Phil, all my QT & HD wallets are on my iMac, it's for vaulting my stash and "savings", backup is always on via TimeMachine. I have some issues in the past on losing documents - thanks to TM, I was able to recover fully. That's the main reasons why all my wallets (all 5 of them) are on the Mac, however I use Coinbase to do daily mundane activities - it convenient and allows me to connect directly to my bank. I have not touch Windows since useless Vista... until recently Win8.1 for mining other coins.

Actually that's over twice the dust threshold so it should go through, anything below 0.0001 indeed is tracked but not sent (yet)

Sure you got the timing on the block maturing before actual payout right?
